The vulture headed idol catches his eye. He walks over, turns the amulet over a few times, feeling like crushing it beneath his feet for the suffering it had caused them. No, it would not serve. There is something greater at stake. He begins to speak, if somewhat hestitantly, as if recalling something he came across a long time ago. "We came across the vulture before. The flayed bodies of young children, dumped in a nearby heap. A madman dancing over his latest victim on the bloody altar. He wore the vulture. The cult of Maramaga, Daughter of Urgathoa. They practice blood sacrifice for their cruel goddess, favoring the old and the children." His eyes are distant, as if he is stil lost in the realms of memory. "We put an end to the madman. We thought we removed the evil, but alas, evil is like a hydra. For each head you cut off, another two grow back."His shoulders sag. "If the cult has established a foothold in the city, then Cassomir is in danger." "My place is here. Bahram lays out Basila's body, such that unless one noted the gray colour of her skin, she almost appeared as if she was asleep. It was the least he could do, after failing that badly. GM: I'd like to do the following - I have a healers kit with me at the moment. Mix up a sleeping draught, convince Varaso to take it, so at least he can sleep it over. And empty his room of any sharp/dangerous objects. A night may make the emotions less raw. I would also like to remain behind in the inn to keep an eye on Varaso, for as long as it takes to get into a more stable frame of mind, handle the funeral, etc. I understand this may be in NPC territory, and if need be, I will reroll a new character. Please inform me if I need to do so. Reasoning: Revenge won't bring back the dead. The best you can do is to pick up the pieces that remain.

Ok pretty please? Id flutter eyelashes, but I think its going to get weird, considering I'm male and half orc. If we aren't going to be rolling above 10, this could be one long fight, considering clerics have medium armor. Options are this: A)We attempt to drop that cleric ASAP/stop her from channeling.
We tried option A - barring crits, I think she will get 1-3 more channels out. I have the option of heading over(which I probably will - I'll need two turns to get there), or remaining where I am to attack the cleric. If you can think of any other ways things could go - I'm all ears.

It means, that for the first time in my life, I don't ever have to worry about encumbrance, which is freakin awesome(otherwise I get really anal about counting weight and encumbrance). The only thing I would stand to lose is ACP(which doesn't apply to weapon attack rolls), and my dex bonus (I have none). That means I could carry like..anything you could possibly all want to buy and not come out worse for it, except for getting sneak attacked by rogues without needing to be flanked. Which is, really situational, and I wouldn't bother too much about it.

Actually...Uh I mistook you for the bard from the other table. Alledueces - how do you feel if someone lets you play around in his shop, sniffie is fine, but no touchie. How you feel about it is probably how Bahram would interact with you. If you were good:
If you were quite good around the shop, then you'd be known as Basila's friend, and that sweet halfling that helps around the shop. If you were bad:
i.e if you were fooling around in the shop, then you'd have gotten the boot, and been yelled at for being a scamp.
Either way is fine by me ;)

Dotting for now, I can see myself buying herbs from you, Nhilune. Chances are I would know Alledueces and Larnarial from my Blade of the Dawnflower days. I am in the process of fixing my character, this might take a while. Also, please try to use simple words around me(once in game), else I might not understand. I get the impression that Bahram, being a healer, would rather that you don't spill bucket loads of blood on the street, unless those people in question would have caused more harm, had they not been stopped. Drinking less is a good thing actually. Do you know what alcohol does to your liver? I live on the other side of the world, so my posting times may be slightly different. Like it's nearly noon at the time of my current post now. Background: Bahram was a former blade of the Dawnflower, but after he took a blow to his head trying to free Varaso from the gnoll slavers, leaving him with addled wits and a permanent limp, he was left in Zimir with Varaso. When he bemoaned that his life was over, the healers told him he could still start his life anew by picking up a new trade, and there was always a shortage of healers around. He picked up what he could from them, then with Varaso's help, set up a herbalists shop in Zimar. He has been a family friend of Varaso for many years, and Basila looks at him as her uncle(his shop was her playground when she was younger). Bahram's greatest regret is that he failed to save Varaso's wife 12 years ago. He could only watched helplessly as she slipped away from this world, despite his best efforts. Varaso, the good hearted man he was, never blamed him, but still he blamed himself for being unable to save her and her unborn child. When Varaso moved to Casomir, he moved along with his old friend.
