Simple Idea, Great Product

4/5

I bought all these dungeon cling packs about 2 years ago. They're still holding up, but I found out that I need a few more extras as my maps have gotten bigger. Think color-forms for your erasable maps. I put my maps under a sheet of plexiglass on my table and I peel and stick these clings right on top. They're handy and easy to use. They also look great. Such a great idea. I took one star off only because the packs could use a little more variety and sizes. For example, I love to use the bridge clings when I have a rope bridge over a gorge or some pit. However, I'm finding I need more than one, especially when using the standard 5' per square. Still, a great idea. A simple product that's fun and easy to use.

Great Map!

5/5

Finally! I love this map. I keep the current game world map under a sheet of plexiglass on my dining room table. (Cover it up with a tablecloth and no one knows it's there). This map is detailed (at least as far as The Inner Sea has so far been detailed). But the best part is, even though it is in 4 pieces, they MATCH UP! Some areas are reprinted so that when you connect them, it fits like a perfect puzzle piece. Great job on a great map.

Excellent DM Screen, Well Worth It!

5/5

I just got the new PFRPG DM Screen yesterday, just in time for tonight's game with my players. The screen is very well made and as others have said, nice, sturdy and it looks great. My players loved the artwork. As for the information, it was exactly the tables/charts that the DM needs constantly. It actually helped to speed up some gameplay and combat during tonight's session. I love it, it's a great screen at a great price. You definately can't go wrong with it. This makes me look forward to future PFRPG products! Thank You!

Great Screen, Basic Adventure!

4/5

I would have to agree with the other review. This DM screen is the best one I've seen for the 3.5 rules set. It is bigger than most, so be aware that you may have to lean over at times, but the charts are full of useful information the DM needs at his fingertips. It's helped to make my games run a lot easier. The adventure, "The Ruins of Castle Churo" is okay. It's a very basic adventure, geared towards a first level group of PC's and a novice DM. Experienced players will probably find it a bit too simple. But, in keeping with the "Old School Feel" of the DCC product line, the adventure is just what you'd expect if you opened your basic D&D screen all those years ago. A great product and a great line of games. I highly recommend it. The only complaint? I'd have liked the cover information to have been on a seperate sheet of paper that you could discard when you were ready to use it. I like the old style artwork, (it's taken from the various DCC modules) but could have done without the game info starring at the players. A very small complaint to an otherwise awesome product!

Great Nod to Classic D&D, and awesome soundtrack!

4/5

I have to say, I have ordered a few Dungeon Crawl Classics, and I'm very pleased with them. They are, as stated, games that pay tribute to the old "dungeon crawls" and "hack and slash" games during D&D's early stages. This makes these generic games so easy to adapt and use in your current D20 campaigns. This module also has the bonus feature of being keyed to the "Cage of Delirium" CD created by Midnight Syndicate. These guys do a great job with gothic music, complete with sound effects that tell a story. This game fleshes out the story to their CD and it works great. In addition, though this is a "crawl," the back-story of the haunted asylum works great, especially for my current Ravenloft campaign, which I plan to run this game in. Take my advice and pick up a copy of this game, it's a lot of fun.

A Great New Product--Lives Up to Expectations!

5/5

As a GM with very little time, just trying to get the group together to play on a regular basis is a challenge. I was looking for something like this, after having enjoyed the "Adventure Paths" in Dungeon magazine. The Pathfinder series is everything I was hoping for. I'm very pleased with this first installment. The plot is great, the setting is unique, yet familiar at the same time, and the details included are worth the price. You get an entire campaign, monster stats, plenty of background and more. The only complaint, and it is minor, is as some have stated, the print could have been a little bigger, but other than that, I love the look and feel and I actually enjoyed the different styles of artwork in the book. And though the information is "campaign specific" as some reviews have sited, it seems to be very easy to adapt to any other world. Thank you Paizo for restoring my faith in the gaming community and great job on what I hope will be a stellar run for the Pathfinder series.
