When it says "Create an encounter map for a previously unmapped location in Golarion" are these unmapped locations supposed to be places the contestants come up with and try to integrate into Golarion, or are they allowed to take pre-existing locations that don't already have maps and use those? If someone, for example, wanted to design the Empty Threshold from Geb, could they do that or does their map have to be a completely original location?
I've been away for a few days without internet, so I haven't been voting as much as I would have liked, but I am incredibly surprised and happy that my item was able to survive all the culls. I may not get into the Top 32, but my item made it this far and I can be happy about that. Can't wait for tomorrow! Good luck to everyone
This was definitely one of my keepers. I loved the flavour and imagery that it invoked, and it gave me a few ideas of how it could be used in a campaign. I do understand the issue with determining exactly what type of metal something is made of (do alloys count?), and some of the other mechanical stuff (which I actually hadn't noticed either), however this was still one of my favourites. BTW that picture you included in your post is quite pretty.
Congratulations! Can't wait to see what next week brings!
I know for certain that my item got culled, but I'm okay with that. It was my first year, I wasn't sure what I was going up against, and while I felt my item was decent and properly formatted, it just lacked the 'wow' of other items that made them worthy of Superstar. Now I know how to do better for next year. No big deal, still excited to keep on voting and seeing what other rounds will bring!
