Aya flies around the room's perimeter, coming to land beside Merutep.

Aya flies around the room and lands beside Rashim. She nips at him with her beak and shrieks in his ear. "CAW!"
Aya lets out a loud CAW! She swoops down and lands on Merutep's chest and nips her on her ear.
As Merutep falls, Aya spreads her wings wide and caws loudly at the sand monster!
She caws something again, but with Merutep unconscious no one can understand her.
Aya sighs deeply, clearly unimpressed with Merutep's explanation. She turns her eyes to the sand woman and lets out a shriek! Then she turns her beak up to the ceiling, clearly offended.
Aya gives Merutep a nod that is reminiscent of a mother approving of a wayward child's apology. Then she casts her beak to the ceiling and strikes a rather regal pose from atop Merutep's shoulder.
Aya tilts her head at Merutep and lets out a CAW!
Aya hovers in place and claws at the blue skull with her talons.
Aya flaps forward into the green head's space and claws at it!
Aya nods once at Merutep, as if to say 'Better.' Then she turns to face the skulls and waits, looking rather regal.
Aya turns a disapproving eye on Merutep.
Aya calmly flies back out of Merutep's way.
As Merutep begins to pray, Aya's eyes glow with a golden light. She sticks her beak up into the air striking a regal pose with pride.
Aya lets out a caw, but seems unable to get through to her wayward 'child.' With a unnaturally human shake of her head, she flies off after Merutep.
Aya nods her head, and then squawks at Merutep. Then she slightly glowing bird points her beak to the sky, clearly proud of herself.
Looking quite proud of her wayward human, Aya inclines her head at the priest in a respectful bow.
As Merutep gushes like a child Aya shakes her head in exasperation. She squawks loudly in Merutep's ear when she's reminiscing, in an attempt to get the enthusiastic woman back on track. When Merutep finally remembers her duties and poise, Merutep nods her head respectfully to the scribe, in a bow, then tilts her head regally to the sky.
Aya nods her head in agreement.
In a surprisingly human motion, Aya shakes her head at Merutep.
Heeding Merutep's call, Aya flies back to her mistress and begins to inspect her wound.
With an angry screech, Aya flies at the snake with her talons bared.
Aya cries loudly and flaps her wings, drawing attention to her wounded charge...
Aya's fine feathers raise in warning as Merutep approaches the sarcophagus. She squawks loudly, causing Merutep to pause. Clearly relieved that Merutep's leaving the sarcophagus to someone else, Aya barely has time to look around before Merutep starts recklessly opening chests and peering into pottery. The exasperated bird shakes its head, as if Merutep were a foolish child, then does her best to help Merutep examine the relics.
Aya shakes her feathered head at Merutep's foolishness. She looks around warily, clearly nervous about hidden traps and curses, but doesn't leave her 'mistress' ' side.
Aya looks around the room with interest from her perch on Merutep's shoulder, more cautious and alert than her 'mistress.'
In a contrast to Merutep's excitement, Aya bows serenely, clearly taking credit for Merutep's presence.
Aya bows her head and shakes it as Merutep's acid goes flying completely off target. The beautiful bird sighs in exasperation.
Aya nudges Merutep in the cheek, then locks eyes with her. They stare at each other for a moment, then Aya suddenly returns her gaze to the man-eating sarcophagus.
As Merutep prays, Aya shuffles down her shoulder, hypnotically travelling from her shoulder to her wrist, and finally settling in her hand. Aya's eyes shine bright yellow, clearly illuminating an area around her, and her feathers seem to shimmer yellow golden in the surrounding light.
From her perch atop Merutep's shoulder, Aya squawks loudly in her mistresses ear.
Aya takes flight come morning, flying above Merutep, catching a small bird to eat, and enjoying the morningsun's warmth on her feathers. When Merutep enters the Necropolis she swoops down near Meruteps head and gives her a happy nod of approval, before soaring back up into the sky. As the group enters the tomb of Akhentepi, Aya swoops down and lands on Merutep's shoulder as gently as she can. She shares a knowing glance with Aya--clearly both bird and master are excited to be here--then she turns her keen eyes onto their surroundings.
Mollified by Merutep's glowing description of her, Aya gives herself a shake, turns to Dr. Hibbins, and bows respectfully. Then she goes back to eating the raw meat from her plate with great enthusiasm.
Aya the magnificent kite sticks her beak up in the air at the insult. Clearly she's miffed that someone might think she'd go attacking things willy-nilly. Of course, the bits of raw meat dangling from her beak do little to help her case....
Aya lets out a gentle cry as Merutep toasts the others. As Merutep puts the raw meat in front of her, Aya nods at her in thanks--calmly and with unnatural poise for a bird--then begins to eat the meat.
From her perch on Merutep's shoulder, Aya bows her head respectfully at Marius.
Aya pauses her examination of Caius in order to bow proudly when Merutep mentions her. She then turns her intelligent golden eyes back onto Caius, clearly examining him for flaws and suspicious behaviour.
Aya nods approvingly at Merutep, then turns her attention to Caius with interest.
Aya shakes her head at Merutep fondly, as if she were an exasperated mother, amused with the antics of her wayward child.
Aya bows politely at Caius. Then it attempts to fix it's rumpled feathers.
The hawk leans over and brushes against Merutep's ear. It cocks its head at Caius and then turns back to Merutep, squawking loudly in her ear. |
