So the only way to get the wolf then would be to be a small character. Still, its not a bad way to go, given the horse seems to have more attacks.

So the advantages for the Horse, aside from the stacking levels, would be that it would gain Light Armor Proficiency right away, and due to the Intelligence boost from the Oracle, would also get access to many feats and be able to be the target of self buff spells.

Still works well.

Although now I have a new question... I am aware that animals cannot read (lol). Would Whirlwind Lesson apply be able to apply to animal companions as well? I would find it very amusing to have an animal with 11 Intelligence. It only states that a character can join you, not that it has to be a humanoid.

At this point I may just be acting goofy.

I already get the Charisma bonus to Fort saves through the Paladin.

Here was an idea I had while trying to set up a character....

Paladin, 2 Levels
Oathbound, Oath of Loyalty Archetype

This grants me Divine grace and Loyal Oath, both of which will be helpful.

Cavalier, 1 Level
Beast Rider/Gendarme Archetype
This, when chosen at the right level, will grant me Spring Attack or Power Attack, a Monster Mount (may need a rule clarification in a sec... depending on how things work), and a fairly weak, probably useless, challenge ability. I would still need to choose an Order, probably Order of the Sword or Lion, or even Knight Errant

Oracle, Remainder
Dual Curse
Tongues (Primary) and Lame (Secondary)
Ancestor Revelation

Also...
Maxing Use Magic Device, getting Ring of Revelation (Nature's Whispers), and Ring of Revelation (Bonded Mount).

Questions for the Mount...
Oracle Levels and Cavalier Levels would stack for as long as I have the ring on. Given that Beast Rider only states that the creature must be large enough to hold my character, would it be acceptable to stack the levels when choosing the mount and take a Wolf or Lion, as they get the size increase at level 4? This way, I can get a combat animal mount that, due to the Oracle levels, has Share spells and more intelligence, and due to Cavalier, is not just a Horse or Camel while getting Endurance and is combat trained.

Now here is where I am not sure if it is worth it. Assuming everything above is allowed, can I cast Divine Vessel on the Mount? Would it be worth it? Would be nice to have another powerful ally in the mix.

Now for questions from the Oracle/Paladin combo...

With everything I have started, it appears that Charisma will effect...
All Saving Throws (Divine Grace)
AC (Ring of Revelation (Nature's Whispers))
CMD (Ring of Revelation (Nature's Whispers))
Spell Casting (Oracle Class)
If I decide to take Noble Scion of War, also Initiative

Will using Loyal Oath double the Charisma bonus to AC and Saving Throws (granted, only once per day for one min... so a difficult battle perhaps?).

As an Ancestor Mystery, Spirit Shield would be my main source of Armor AC. At the end, it would grant 10 AC (at Oracle level 19, it would give me 12, but I am not going to hit that). Charisma would then be added to this, along with whatever else I can get. I would focus on making this character a Melee Attacker, focusing on buffs rather than spells. The spells would be useful for making me stronger, and allow me to heal. I do miss out on getting level 9 spells with this build.

I also considered getting a Ring of Revelation (Whirlwind Lesson). I could use this when the party finds/creates a tome and use it to buff my character as well as the person who wants it and grant temporary bonuses to everyone else.

I would only focus on three stats, Charisma, Strength and Constitution.

How does this idea sound? Would it be better to skip out on the Mount/Cavalier things to focus on other abilities? I get some good combat bonuses for Ancestor Mystery so I thought this would work out.

Is the lack of deity overlap acceptable?

EDIT

Also thought of this... would taking a Monk level and using Spirit Shield count as unarmored? Technically, the character isn't using any armor still. Would it be worth doing, given the fact this will force me to focus on Wisdom as well?

If I did, I was thinking of going for Flowing Monk for the Redirection and I can choose a feat like Dodge.

I looked at Maneuver Master but using a Monk Level of 1 for the Combat Maneuver kinda... sucks.

Thanks for the responses.

So this is a way to get Armor Bonus without the Dex Limit, I assume as long as we arent wearing armor that imposes a limit. In some ways this seems like it may grant a bit too much AC but cheers, more AC via a few items (Focus on CHA, get Sidestep Secret via ring, and use the Revelation ability).

Examples of the Revelations

Spirit Shield
Cloak of Darkness
Wood Armor
Bone Armor

They state that they add an Armor Bonus. My focus was whether or not there is a limit to the dex bonus. If I am just wearing normal clothing, could I use this Revelation and then get an unlimited Dex/Cha bonus (Sidestep Revelation).

Maxed out, this seems like it could create a ridiculously high AC.

I was wondering about this earlier. There are revelations that grant an armor bonus, this bonus caps at 12 at the higher levels. Do you add in Dexterity bonus to this as well?

If someone where to use one of the Armor Revelations and either had a high dexterity or used a Ring of Revelations (Sidestep Secret) + UMD, would they get a very high AC bonus from this combination?
