Ok Harakty's still mean. He's made it clear that other people's feelings and possibly well being come second to whatever his agenda is. The fact that he comes off as nice once in a blue moon makes the next time he's a jerk seem meaner than it actually is. But he's also extremely practical.
How's he gonna deal with "So while you were off chasing after your baby momma, Aurelea got torn in half."

Spoiler: "I believe in the cause, and while I would love to be with my family again, I need to continue with this new purpose, a new life with meaning. As you said, our destinies are intertwined. If I need a new body, so be it, and I'll take a new name as well, but we see this through, until every shard is destroyed."
Spoiler: "I have a choice? If I could go back I would. I'm sorry that I put your mission at risk as well, it just...it felt so good destroying the shard....so, fulfilling. And then when I saw Reinhardt. Yes I was terrified to face that monster, but he had to be stopped. And I think a little part of me, a selfish stupid part wanted to be able to go back and tell Clara that I'd killed the man who took her parents. By now if the others got away he's probably eating my corpse. What can I do?

GM: With a start Aurelea turned to look at where her sword's voice emanated from. She could still feel the searing pain of the vicious claws ripping through her chest, shredding flesh and bone to gouge her heart. "I..I had to try. Hopefully it gives the rest of them time to get away. I know I was a fool, I had barely anything left bu....I had to try."
Yup, trying to figure out what's next.
Yup I'm dead, that crit puts me at -20hp.
Yeah he is, but every team needs that guy. What he calls motivation everyone else calls being a dick. Oh and I waited half an hour trying to decide what Aurelea would do because I half think this guy will kill a party member each round.
"Actually, we've come to kill you! Aurelea says before leaping into action, Oblivion trailing in an undercutting slash.

"I know we don't have much left, but when we catch sight of that bastard, hurl everything you've got at him."Aurelea says as they advance. Spoiler: 'Sense anything particular?'
"The worst, and we need to put him down. Now." Looking at the injured man she hesitates for a moment. "Obviously he needs attention, and I don't quite trust her for obvious reasons," she says indicating the woman in the dark armor. "Some of us need to stay here while the rest go and deal with Reinhardt. Any volunteers?"
Good luck, hope it's good news. BREATHE.
"Who the hell are you?"demands Aurelea. "If you were just fighting him why would you want to help him now?" she stands with sword outstretched ready to intercept any attack that may be prepared against their new companion as she aids the fallen man.
Just done with work, will be back on in an hour or two.
"That's more like it. Thanks Arista" Aurelea says flashing the cleric a grin. "You didn't offend me, actually it's pretty hard to offend me come to think of it, but once you get to know me better you'll get why it was a little bit amusing." As the angelic woman asks about her family, the Magus sighs. "If the answers to your questions are what I'm thinking they are, you're going to have a lot to process." She turns to the group, her face expressing the focus and intensity of a born warrior, "Ok at this point they definitely know we succeeded and they'll be under heavy pressure. I personally want to teach that bastard Reinhardt what happens to scum who make people's lives hell. Lets go!"
Aurelea makes a strong effort to stifle a laugh. "While I definitely appreciate the healing before going into another fight, I'm not, nor am I likely to be pregnant." she says with a chuckle. "And in the current state of things, there's a lot more for a cleric of Pharasma to deal with than being a midwife."

He's been dead for about 550 years by my reckoning. If that's the case then Obliivion is ancient and there's pretty much nothing Arista would recognize. Hell even languages morph quite a bit in that timeframe. Interesting to imagine a 500yr old accent.
"We can finish the introductions later, we still have allies in battle." Aurelea says striding forward with Oblivion at the ready. Though she still felt the aches and pains of battle, the sense of purpose that came with destroying another shard filled her with renewed energy.
Aurelea lets out a long slow exhalation as she processes the intense visions that assault their minds. Spoiler:
’Gods and Demon queens, things from Beyond, what the hell have we gotten into? Good work! Looks like it’s only just getting interesting.’ ”Yeah, Gods and Demons and a host of others all wrapped up in this. Trust me, destroying these things are one of the few things I’m sure of in this place. Destroying them is the only thing that reduces the dark influence that’s warped and twisted this land for so long.” she says in reply to the Paladin. As the woman tries to stand she takes in her dress and appearance, her metallic looking skin and stature, baffled by her apparent presence within the shard. ”Uhm…ok, this is new.” She addresses the woman ”What do you remember about the battle you were in?” Spoiler: “Does anything about her seem familiar to you?”
Oh hell yeah! Talk about kicking a wild ride into high gear.
As the bruised and battered group stand before the fragment of the Shard, Aurelea is silent, her eyes eagerly studying the ancient carvings, reading their meaning. Slowly she steps forward, bringing Oblivion up in a twirling arc to stop raised above her head. "Not anymore." she half whispers, every fiber of her being radiating purpose. She nods as if in agreement to something only she can hear. Spoiler:
'Aye' Launching herself forward she leaps into the air to bring the black blade cleaving into the massive stone with absolute conviction.
Best thing for dealing with life's rough spots, the love of somebody who has your back. Glad to see you both have it.

"Thanks!" Aurelea responds before upending the vial down her throat.
"Honestly, I'm barely able to stand." Aurelea states, slowly and painfully standing up, the fire still clear in her eyes.
Glancing over to Alethiro's inert body Aurelea limped over to the dead Half-orc, crouching down to search through his gear specifically seeking any restorative potions. "We need to get him back on his feet and get ourselves patched up quick. They probably think we're dead and we need to press the advantage now!" Spoiler: 'Nice work. That was damn close though, I couldn't take another hit from that bastard. We're almost there.'

'Then we finish it!' As the dwarf's flaming hammer connects with her hip, Aurelea unleashes a shriek of both pain and anger as she sends Oblivion into a lethal forward thrust.
Wow. Skaar's old boss is Simon Phoenix meets Dexter, without any of the things that make Dexter likable.
Aurelea's arcane talents and natural ferocity allow her to ignore the worst of the unholy assault as she takes advantage of Cyna' s flanking position to strike with far greater accuracy than her previous attack.
Oblivion: 'Is this guy the overwhelmingly powerful presence you felt or is there something worse after him?'
The critstravaganza, that being said, the dice have definitely let Oblivion live up to the hype.
It had to end sometime.
The half Orc's toppling corpse catches her blade for a fraction of a second resulting in her strike against the dwarf finding only armor.
Even before the half orc's spell is completed Aurelea is in motion. with a speed driven by the frenzy of battle, she dashes between enemy and ally, to bring Oblivion in a devastating upward slash that rakes across the spell caster's body.

As the half- elf engages Aurelea strikes quickly and decisively. "Sorry pretty boy, you're not quite my type" she quips.
Raising an eyebrow, Aurelea extends one hand violently as she shouts the words of a spell that sends twin daggers of pulsing black light directly into the half orc's face.
Sword gripped firmly in hand, Aurelea forges ahead. "C'mon let's move. Spoiler: Sense it getting closer?"
I concur on the awesome job.
"Every moment we spend following him or being delayed, is another chance they have to protect the shard or for Reinhardt to win. Destroying the shard comes first. Everything else after otherwise the Paladins are dying for nothing." Aurelea spoke, clearly only waiting for Alethiro's recovery to continue along the path.
As the monster tries once again to savage her, Aurelea tried to figure out why the effects of her blade seem negligible, but to no avail. Counting on the previous effectiveness of her last attack, she again prepares a spellstrike,this time infusing Oblivion with highly corrosive acid in an attempt to dissolve the creature's muscle tissue. Heal

Dancing nimbly aside as the beast-man charges Aurelea shouts the words to summon the elemental power to her blade striking a blow similar to the one that felled the Anti-Paladin, though less accurate.
