There is room for two more.

@Shifty: I played it with an L4.

I've just signed up with this L2 operative.

And I grabbed the last spot with a L2 Mechanic

I love the collectable cards! Also please tell me this is a repeatable as the gnoll boon is something I need on another character (who buys all the medicinals)

Thanks for running this! It was a lot of fun and I was glad I coulod dust off Asier, though I realize I never did make him shine too much throughout the scenario. It was a blast to play with you all! Hope to see you around the forums sometime soon.

"Wait did I mess with your brand?"

Asier waits for a moment when Modern's back is turned to add two 'e's to the end of the Body, but otherwise leaves it alone, more worried about what is happening in the room than fighting Modern over what his fans are called.

Asier adds a 'Fans of' to the front of the 'Modern Bodyees' in the computer and then pauses a second to cover his ears. "What is that noise?"

He takes a moment to consider the ramifications of the frequency and, with a moment to extrapolate the rate at which it is growing, future frequencies to the biological Bodyees in the room as well as his mechanical components.

Asier strides into the structure and his eyes light up at the various bits of equipment and what not around the room. "Wonder what the purge mechanics are... Though this data over here is out of date and incorrect, they aren't Yetis anymore, their Devotees of Modern Body. Hrrrmmmm Modern what would be a good adjective for that? Trainees? Bodyees? Devotees?"

The android tries to see about editing the name on the screen from a free terminal.

Sorry for making you wait and apologies for the delay

Asier gives a blink as he realizes that his companions perfect attempts at intimidation goes south. They seemed pretty intimidating to me!

He gives a mental command to Suzuta to target the yeti leader and pulls out a laser rifle. He takes aim and fires once, before looking around and trying to move to a more advantageous spot.

Asier pauses as the group leaves apparently interested in something Sparklemane just said. "If we can get this unethical experiment to end, would you like us to take you some place of your own choosing? We could take you most places in the near space. Or maybe even the vast. You don't have to nor should you stay in captivity!"

¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

Asier stares at the temple for a bit, this clearly not being something of interest to him. " Maybe it will open up when we finish the experiment? "

Asier moves through the swamp, flitting from one plant to another mushroom and then back to a vine. "Ohh, I haven't seen one of these ever! And this species hasn't been in the pact worlds since the last recorded black market smuggling in 235 AR... Oh and a Flyvine! These are so hard to find sometimes!"

He comes up short as he catches sight of the unicorn and pauses as he processes the information. Life sciences: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

"Modern I think you were right, this is not a spirit in the swamp... It's a unicorn! However, Sparklemane, as my friend stated, we are neither of the Yeti nor of the Gnolls, and instead trying to achieve a peaceful resolution to this 'experiment' as it seems to be rather inhumane... uh, in-sentiente? We are also not formally recognized as a group in the experiment and thus can relay messages if you so wish. If you want we could convince the gnolls and yetis to submit to you and then take them away from here to their natural habitats. Yeti for example are not meant to be in such warm lands as these."

Asier takes a back seat in dealing with the gnolls, trying to not interfere with their actions as much as possible. But after getting a good series of videos with proper notes and memos attached for later filing and organization, he steps forwards. "Given that this place is some sort of experiment about domination, a 'cage match', if you will, as Hermena has put it, it brings me, with a 83% likelihood, 'great pleasure' to hear that you are willing to pursue a peaceful resolution. I am 67% posisitive that we can reach a satisfactory agreement with the Muckfurs as well. Now there seems to be a third 'power' in this place. Do you have any tales, stories or anecdotes about a 'ghost,' 'power' or entity in the swamp? Did any of the groups you sent to gather herbs ever get attacked? How long ago did you last gather them? Were the yetis here at that time?"

"We have already been accepted into the cultural folds of one of the groups. Asier hums loudly through the verbal abuse by Modern Body, clearly somewhat distressed that the half-elf is distressed but then finally responds to the last comment. "We might be avoiding the archeological discovery for the moment but we are going for the anthropological discovery instead. And as for the recruitment introductions I have video recordings of 7 iterations of the Society on boarding instructions, including the most recent version updated last year. I can replay them for you if you like. They don't seem to weigh in on value judgments between anthropology and archeology."

Asier tries to take a sample of the apparently psychotropic smoke, or at least seemingly that way for the yetis, for later analysis, and then listens to the story recording the whole time.

He does pipe in with a, "There might be an actual apparition or ghost-like thing in the swamp as well. We can't make any assumptions in the matter without further evidence, only theorize... Well should we go and see if we can find this Swamp Ghost then?"

Asier watches the displays of athletics with the camera eye running, and then gives a small round of applause at the displays. "Wow, Buse, that was amazing!"

His eyes light up, literally, for a second at the suggestion that they find a new smoke hole and then heads out into the field hoping to get a pure sample of the gas so he might be able to properly analyze it.

"It's a complicated matter, legal business and all. I can't really share the holovids of my speaking tours or anything, but you can find bootlegs on some infospheres. You should check them out, even a slob like you could in great shape - it's all about the perfect meld between brains and brawn. But I can't go into much detail, that might qualify as "Creating New Content" and get me into all sorts of trouble."

Asier pauses to process the information for a second. "I think my body is already a good shape, though definitely not 'in shape' as the vernacular seems to mean... but then half of my body has been modded by predecessors of mine to the point I'm not sure it ever could be 'in great shape,' but I would love to watch some of the videos as they could be very informative!"

Wandering through the tent town, Asier gives little oooohhs and aaaaahhs over the Yeti he finds there, their living conditions and even tries to get an atmospheric sample of the smoke if anything gets near him. He walks into the leader's tent, still recording, and asks, "So.... Wha...cha smoking? cha? Really Suzuta, Cha is an appropriate word here? ...It's slang? I don't know if I ever want to say that again..."

Asier bounds along happily following right behind Modern Body. He looks at the half-elf and starts asking some questions. Soooo I wasn't around when you were at your peak! What did you do during that time? You have video clips? Your pectoral and deltoid development is certainly impressive compared to the average half-elf. At least 33% bigger! Is that what you did? "

As the group gets closer Asier takes one look at the furry things and gives a look of surprise. His left eye gives a *Whirr* *Click* as his pupil swivels and the extends out like a camera lens and starts a whirring noise that could only be recording sounds.

He also shifts back through Suzuta's memory banks on what these could be. Life sciences: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

Asier takes an interest in the opening of the vault and the projection with the intensity of a small child.

Did they calculate it off of our few phrases alone? Or are there other Common speaking species here and therefore the moon could know which language to use?"

He hums to himself for a moment as he tries to extract the holo-projector, before realizing, "Wait, 'Happy Conquest?' 'Achieved dominance?' Are we in a warzone or something similar? Ughhh, I'm probably not going to enjoy this am I?"

Just before the briefing begins, an android with the face, hair, beard and general look of a middle-aged professor but the energy of a two year old, bounds into the room and extends a hand to the assemebled Pathfinders. "Hello! I'm Asier-23-7! I've been told that the most appropriate greeting is 'It's a pleasure to meet you,' with a 73.9% probability or 'It will be a pleasure to work with you,' with a 72.1% probability. Given those are close statistically, which do you feel is more appropriate in this situation?"

He pauses for a second as he listens to responses, clearly adding them to some mental data bas, and then continues, "I'm still only 6 months old, so I'm not sure what I am good at or not, but I did learn enough mechanically and software engineering to understand my body. Also my exo-crotex, Suzuta, has an extensive database on biological creatures! She teaches a class all about them at the Artificial Advancement Academy of Aballon, Absalom and Akiton: Android and Abiological Alien Arm, so she knows her stuff."

He then realizes that the group is just about to start their briefing and with an embarrassed look takes a seat and listens.

He nods at the explanations, but doesn't seem to have any questions right now.

They haven't been added to the tags, you really do have to sort them by date, or else you won't find them. There are avatars I've found on the boards that I searched high and low for (Gm Bret's intelligent-looking and well-groomed half-orc specifically), but only recently found in by searching that way.

Oh, great, the nuclear war I had guessed at, but I wasn't expecting an ethical quandary to accompany it.

Asier watches the confession in mute almost-but-not-quite-horror. That explains so much about this planet... Do we tell them the truth though? Decidedly not ready to tackle the ethical conundrum that that question poses, he instead switches to the problem posed by Eli.

"I doubt the Council is aware, to see this level of genetic variation, even in a high radiation environment like the aftermath of a thermonuclear war would require many generations, and this sounds like it's been more than a few centuries since then."

He pauses for a second and composes his thoughts. "Given that they aren't allowed down here, and that many of the robots and machines we've seen are from the same time period, I doubt that the current generations have enough technological skills and understanding to build more domes, much less spacecraft.”

”The Starfinders do outreach programs, do they not? Might we be able to convince them to start an education program here and teach them how to build and maintain the technology here?”

Having cleared everything else he could think of off his mind he gives a sigh and finally tackles the issue of what to say about the revelations in the video. After a few agonizing moments, the pain clear on his otherwise android-flat face, Asier gives a sigh and starts talking again. ”We should tell them. I would rather not; however, any technicians that come down this way are going to find this information. In a best case scenario the information might catalyze change and a reclaiming of the technologies of centuries ago, but it could also lead to unrest and ultimately societal decline.”

”Does anyone have any idea on how to put a positive spin on this? Religions that started false and then became legitimized, or someway that this will not completely undercut the ‘husk’s’ legitimacy and way of life?”

After a lesurely stroll through pillars, he pulls his rifle out and trains it on the construct. He stops moving for a second and his right hand breaks into many smaller parts and they quickly works over the rifle, causing it to fire a larger than normal laser beam.

Asier looks up and around the room in great curiosity, starting his almost constant recording up again. He trains his sights on the security drones as soon as they make their prescience known. "Oh, now those are a thing of beauty, look they combine the traits of both ghibrani morphologies. That thick shell is very reminiscent of a 'Husk' ghibrani, but these creatures also have wings!"

After a moment more of observation the Android realizes something else. "These obviously haven't been well maintained..."

Asier stays focused on collecting as much information about the Ghibrani and their city that he stays out of it for most of the night. I wonder how much prestige this is going to bring the Asier name, only 5 of my predecessors ever made a first contact this intriguing!

He Snaps out of it for as second as he sees Eli and Alimony pondering over the door. The android approaches and happily eyes the machinery. OOOHHHHHHH! UNKNOWN TECH! Can I help!" Wiuth out even waiting for the answer he dives into helping Eli with the engineering. handing parts and marveling aloud at the innovative and unusual wriing and circuitry. "Here, take these pliers!"... "Wait does this run off a tertiary system?" "Just look at that power nexus, it's so intricate!"

Asier, still taking video, looks at the drones with a high-level of interest, but keeps not having the time to examine one from close up.

When the food is brought out, Asier takes a bite without hesitation, feeling his body should handle anything that is edible, and some things that aren't.

Asier scoops up his rifle and baton and dusts them off before putting them away. "I would find enjoyment in seeing another city of theirs and have no problems with being an escort."

He gently gestures to the doorway and starts heading that direction himself, as he starts to leave the room he picks up the thread of the conversation again. "But I do have one question. Asier decides to close the file on Ruuk for right now, not able to draw anymore conclusion. He blinks once, then twice and starts to engage with he world around him, more than just moving around in response to things.

After a second to consciously take in his surroundings he catches sight of the Ghibrian with wings! A new variation! Excitedly the android moves up next to Alimony and whispers, "Can you ask her about those?" In a weird coincidence, possibly from having recently and intensely analyzed their culture, Asier gets a whiff of what she is she is doing. "I don't think she bears us any ill will."

Asier watches in shock as he sees Ruuk explode, and survive unscathed. He trains his eye recording data about the beast that the group just took down onto Ruuk and opens a mental file for the unusual four-armed man. "I didn't know organic beings could explode unharmed like that without technological help! That's amazing!"

When the group of other beings moves in and greets the group, Asier opens a third file for them, and with all of the data being processed in his head, it edges out bandwidth for holding an actual conversation, leaving the android a mostly mute and flat faced husk.

At the dance he finally finishes up adding observations about the data he collected of the big and shiny beast, and starts to come out of his shell. Just in time to get swept up in the dance going on, though luckily he'd already longed analyzed many of the basic movements and with the graceless precision only a distracted android can achieve, starts to put them into practice.

When in battle, you enter a state of metaphysical alignment with cosmic forces. At the start of your first turn in combat, if you are conscious, you must choose one of three stellar modes: graviton, photon, or unattuned (see below).

At the start of each subsequent turn of combat, you must choose to either stay in your current stellar mode or to become unattuned. If you choose to stay in your mode, you gain another attunement point for that mode.

@GM- So Round 1 you would only choose 1 of the three stellar modes, no points yet. The every round thereafter you would gain a point.

Moving this out of the gameplay thread. The most important part of those rules are listed a little later in the explanations of Photon and graviton modes.

Starfinder CRB wrote:

Graviton Mode When you enter graviton mode, you gain 1 graviton attunement point and become graviton-attuned. Some of your stellar revelations are graviton powers and get stronger if you’re graviton-attuned. While graviton-attuned, you gain a +1 insight bonus to Reflex saves. This bonus increases by 1 for every 9 solarian levels you have.

Photon Mode When you enter photon mode, you gain 1 photon attunement point and become photon-attuned. Some of your stellar revelations are photon powers and get stronger if you’re photon-attuned. While photon-attuned, you gain a +1 insight bonus to damage rolls (including damage rolls for your stellar powers). This bonus increases by 1 for every 6 solarian levels you have.

So you do indeed have 3 attunement points.

Asier mentally curses himself for not realizing the thing had a greater reach then he did and rushing in like a rank amateur. His predecessors' knowledge should have taught him something. He steps around the side of the creature just to make sure that he doesn't start taking a few unexpected hits from the creature's focus on Ruuk and then tries to land a good hit on the beast.

Asier grabs for his baton in his belt as he moves closer across the dunes. I guess Suzuta was right having a backup weapon is always important. He gets close enough to try lashing out with the smaller weapon hoping he can a hit in.

"I would not say intimidating so much as majestic! What you are probably feeling there Eli is it's special ability to cause biomatter to vibrate in a way that causes it to cower. I winder if this thing can affect single celled organisms? If we knock it out, can we test a few things after it wakes up and before we leave?" As he chatters away, Asier takes a swing at the creature, though never taking the eye recording it's movements off the thing.

Stellar rush makes it a standard action, so he is okay.

Trudging along with everyone, his long rifle in hand, Asier tries very hard to find some kind of plant or animal life. "The sands here are very different, but I don't have much interest in them."

When the sands start to move, Asier excitedly sets Suzuta to recording and then spends a moment to compare the creature to Suzuta's database. "Suzuta has no data on this lifeform. It might be new! It probably evolved from something similar to pre-Gap Golarion lizards. WE might want to be careful about shooting it with lasers though, as that scintillating rainbow coloration suggests, it might have light diffraction properties."

Asier gives a stretch. "I don't know if comparing them to toast is the most appropriate. Roast might be better." He grabs one of the ship's emergency medpacks and rushes up to the bridge.

"I have minimal knowledge on healing people, but I might be able to help." He spends an extremely engrossed minute picking, prodding and probing the wounds on Madrigal. "That is fascinating! Did you know she bleeds more if you put pressure on her wounds? So interesting! However, my recommendation is we put her in cryostasis, as I have no clue what is wrong with her."

He then moves onto engineering, grumbling something dark about ALice and taking pratical jokes too far. In the doorway to the room, he however is stopped short. His vocal processors start to cycle as he takes in the downed Alice and obvious ysoki. "Wa... wa.... wai.... Wait! Alice was not playing a joke? You are actually a stowaway? Uh uh uh"

He does finally catch sight of the downed Alice and rushes over. "Dark words. that does not look good." After a moment's investigation he stands up.
