Out of curiosity, what is the full list of all of the Scenarios, adventures, and other materials that involve the Blakros Family? I know about Mists of Mwangi, Blakros Matrimony, and the like. I'm just wondering if there's a full list of them? Also, does anyone know if there's some kind of writeup for the Grand Convergence 4712 adventure that led to the Blakros Matrimony?


So I am part of a Wrath of the Righteous campaign. Our GM has not responded and we are currently looking for a new one to continue our game. We are currently on Book 2: Sword of Valor and on our way to the fort of Drezen. We have just finished defeating the first enemy army that our army met and did some exploring of the area. We were divided between two events from two separate days. The first event takes place days after the battle with us moving on our journey and the second event takes place after the battle.

It is that we are confronting Nurah about her sneaking off after the battle.

The current players include:

Arthas, Sword of Ragathiel, a human paladin of Ragathiel, wielder of Radiance, and our commander and leader
Danua, a tiefling magus archer and mythic trickster, Sarkorian, and former demon cultist on the path of redemption
Karthak Ironbreaker, a dwarf spellbreaker inquisitor of Torag and mythic guardian who is gruff, but dedicated to the cause
Jokum of the Breakbones, an aasimar shapershifter ranger and mythic champion who is unaware of his divine heritage, attacking with steel and claw alongside his faithful badger animal companion, Tentak
and finally, myself, Voren the Outsider, a tiefling hedge witch and mythic archmage from Old Sarkoris who heals his allies with skill and witnessed the opening of the Worldwound centuries ago and wishes to solve the mysteries of his past alongside his familiar, the greensting scorpion, Ayne

So, I'm thinking about running Curse of the Crimson Throne in the future. I'm going to be making some changes by adding elements from other adventure paths and modules, as well as making changes to characters. But the biggest change I'm thinking about is changing the setting entirely.

The idea I have is that the events of CotCT and Korvosa take place in a land like Orision. I originally wanted to say that Varisia's borders expanding into part of Orision and Korvosa was established there. However, I looked at the map and there are so many countries between Varisia and Korvosa with their own rich history.

My question is how can I make this happen while keeping those countries in existence? Would this be a type of situation where I could do whatever I want? Any ideas would be great.

So, I want to build a character who will eventually go into the Stargazer prestige class. This class looks awesome and full of RP flavor and I want to give it a try. It gives you abilities from the cleric, witch, shaman, and oracle classes. However, my question is: which class would get the most out of it? I'm torn between making a cleric or a witch. With a cleric, I will have more domains, but not as many hexes. For a witch, I will have hexes, but I've seen people suggest that witches should get major hexes before multiclassing into Stargazer.

So, I want to plan out a character for the recently announced War for the Crown adventure path. The concept/background behind the character is that he is a courtesan who becomes a spymaster. He was taken by the fey of the Verduran Forest and kept there for several years. It is also rumored that he is descended from one of them. When he returned, he had gained magic powers and moved into a brothel. The owner advertises him as a fey touched being and is used for women who wish to be seduced by a fey of the forest. He wishes to be more and uses his talents to seduce women and learn information to use.

So here are my ideas for this character.

Race: Human (with the Fey Thoughts, Fey Magic, and Low-Light Vision alternate racial traits replacing skilled)
Class: I have been thinking about being a witch with the seducer archetype. However, since I want to be spy like, I am wondering if I should also take the nexian spellspy archetype. However, I did also thinking about a sorcerer with the fey bloodline. Should I drop the witch idea and go a different route?
Patron: I am torn between the enchantment patron or the trickery patron.
Familiar: I was thinking about a cat (because it'll give me a bonus to stealth and would be fun flavorwise). However, I also thought about either a thrush (+3 to Diplomacy) or a viper (+3 to Bluff).
Prestige Class: I did think about taking the Enchanting Courtesan class. But, would the Master Spy prestige class be better? Or should I just drop taking a prestige class all together?

Any advice on my ideas so far?


So, I'm making a half-orc cleric of Desna. My concept is that he's a higher ranking member of a branch of the church who wanders the Path, pretending to be a regular priest and sending out subtle reports to the church. One of the roles he would fill would be of a party face. My question is can the cardinal archetype be combined with the varisian pilgrim archetype?


So, I have been reading this thread lately and have been creating some npcs when I came across an interesting thought. What happens when an aasimar and a tiefling fall in love? Normally, these two races are at odds with each other or are enemies.

1) Have there been any examples in Paizo's content where an aasimar and a tiefling fall in love with each other?

2) Have any of you made use of such a couple?


So, I'm making a 8th level bard npc. I've noticed that on some npc statblocks, it says 'PC Gear' and there is a gold amount with a plus next to it. I'm assuming that means that the npc gets extra money for gear. My question is: how do I determine how much extra gold the npc gets? Is it determined by class and level?

This is an example of what I'm asking.


So, I'm coming with my own campaign that's in the same style as the adventure paths. In it, there'll be some npcs that the pcs constantly meet with. Some are very important to the narrative. My question is: how do I level these npcs from "book" to "book"? I want to keep them at an appropriate level and roughly around the same level as the pcs.


This might have been answered already. But I would like to know. Is the Beastmaster ranger archetype worth taking? I would just like to know your thoughts.

I was planning on making a island located, tribal themed npc with this archetype and having him have several exotic animal companions, like a Quetzalcoatlus or maybe some more aquatic creatures.


So, I want to create a human cleric to Nivi Rhombodazzle. Seems like an interesting idea. However, I also want to add some levels in Bard. I looked all over for some build ideas. However, all of the threads I found say that multiclassing cleric and bard is a bad idea.

Thoughts and opinions on this? Also, any advice is welcome.


Hello, all! Due to several IRL problems, we're in need of a fifth player for our PbP Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign. The current party make up is:

We are in need of either a tank or a full arcane caster. We just caught Trinia Sabor in the Shingles chase and are about to try and hide her. For the crunch, here's what's needed:

So, I'm not currently GMing a game. But I hope to run RotRL someday (I got a physical copy of the book and hope to run it PbP). I do have some ideas that sound interesting.

So, I've been reading different threads about Tstuo, Nualia, and the rest. But here's an idea I want to use and would like some feedback on.

The Setup:
So, Tstuo's dad is Justice Ironbriar, like some threads have suggested for additional content. Hopefully, the PCs chosen for the game would take the baddies alive and they'll be sent to trial in Magnimar, where dear old dad would spring Tstuo, that kind of thing. Here's the kicker, though.

In the letter that Ameiko receives from Tstuo, there is a tiny mention of trying to reach someone else, a 'him'. In Tstuo's journal that the party finds in the Glassworks, there are mentions of that same 'him', but little information is given. In Tstuo chambers in Thistletop, the party finds not only the plans that the half-elf would use to blackmail Lonjiku, but several crumbled up wads of parchment. These are incomplete letters. Some of these are addressed to Ameiko. However, the other set of crumbled letters are addressed to another sibling. A brother, who Ameiko never met before.

As it turns out, despite Lonjiku saying how his wife wasn't faithful and how much dishonor it brought him and the Kaijitsu name, he's a little hypocrite. For he had an affair as well with a woman from Magnimar. A married woman The affair resulted in a child and Lonjiku cutting off all ties to his secret lover and desperately trying to hide it. Except Tstuo found out before he left Sandpoint. One of the first things the half-elf did in Magnimar was try to find his half-brother. While he didn't establish contact with him, Tstuo did keep an eye on him.

Now that this new information has come to light, Ameiko wants to meet her other brother. So, when Sheriff Hemlock suggests that the PCs go to Magnimar to testify in court, Ameiko will ask them to try and find her long lost half-brother and try to convince him to come to Sandpoint.

When the PCs arrive, they have little encounters with the missing Kaijitsu, using disguises, words, and his magic to con and steal from both NPCs and PCs. This would lead into a subplot about finding him and stopping him. I imagine that it may involve stakeouts, learning more about him, hunting him down, maybe even a roof top chase :).

Anyway, the NPC would have levels in charlatan rogue and (maybe) negotiator bard, giving him a way with words. Give him a magic item that allow him to disguise himself. For race, I know I want to go with Aasimar. Here's my thinking.

Aasimar:
So, the Kaijitsu child would be an azata-blooded aasimar. When the married woman gave birth to him, it started a series of arguments between the woman and her husband. Eventually, the woman was pregnant with another child. The husband, paranoid about his wife cheating on him again, began arguing with her on a daily basis, which led to the son running away to live on the streets, the parents divorcing, and the wife leaving Magnimar to start a new life. Eventually, the father learned that the second child is his and became a shadow of his former self. The twist is that the mother gave birth to an aasimar girl. Realizing that she can't support the child, she leaves the baby on the steps of the church in Sandpoint with a note saying: 'Nualia'. Yes, what I'm setting up with this is that the Kaijitsu children are related to Nualia. Which would make things even weirder if Tstuo finds out that Nualia is actually his half sister.

Thoughts? Any feedback on race, classes, and concept are welcome, as well as any advice.


So, I got a WotR pbp game that I'm in. I'm playing a Hedge Witch that focuses on healing, buffs, and debuffs. For my mythic path, I want to dual path Hierophant/Archmage because of the abilities in both paths. So, my question is in regards to the Dual Path feat. It confuses me due to this being the first time I'm in a game with the Mythic rules.

So here's what I understand:
- Dual Path allows access to another mythic path and its path abilities
- Each tier gives you hit points

What I'm unsure of:
- Does it work like multi classing? Like, every time I choose a path ability (besides universal), I gain a tier in that path? Or is it a constant path just with more choices open to me?
- If the latter, then do I keep the same amount of hp per tier?

Could someone explain the Dual Path feat and the changes it makes to me?


So I want to make a character that can be great at healer. The concept is a tiefling Witch (Hedge Witch archetype). But I also want to add an Oracle of Life to the build. I guess the questions are "Can this idea work?" and "How can I make this idea work?".


Okay. Here's an interesting and odd thread. I have a character in a PBP game here on the Paizo forums named Aerodus. His backstory is that he's a runaway nobleman from Cheliax. His family is sending Hellknights and bounty hunters to get him back so he can fulfill one of the marriage contracts. What I'm looking for is several female npcs to fill the roles of the betrothed from the marriage contracts. Here's where you guys come in. I would like you to create your own npc for use in this game.

Here is what I'm looking for in terms of specifics. I'm looking for a statblock with each entry.

Race: Most likely human. But you can have any other acceptable race, such as half-elves, with an appropriate background.
Class: Any NPC class would be aristocrat. But there's no real restriction on this, so the character have a PC class. The number of levels doesn't really matter. Just not too high on the levels.
Place of Origin: You don't have to necessarily come from Cheliax. But your character has to have ties to Cheliax and its nobility.
Ability Scores: If you use an NPC class, use the basic npc stat array. If you use a PC class, use the elite stat array.
Gear: Gear should be appropriate for your level.

Other additions include a backstory, personality, how your npc came to know Aerodus, why she wants to marry Aerodus, how she's taking his running away and new convict status, etc.

Entries will be judged by my GM, Ulgulanoth and those chosen will be used in the game. I'm looking forward to seeing the entries!

Okay. New build idea. I want a CN Human cleric of Lamashtu for any Ruby Phoenix Tournament adventures I may join. He was raised by gnolls and, eventually, goblins, hobgoblins, and a couple of bugbears. However, he separated himself from the rest of his "pack", worshipping Lamashtu in his own way. He's being hunted down by his "pack", being declared a heretic. He has to hide his faith wherever he goes, avoiding not only his "pack", but anyone who maybe an enemy of Lamashtu worshippers. So here's the challenge.

1) has to be human
2) Chaotic Neutral alignment
3) cleric dedicated to Lamashtu
4) has to use both the Hidden Priest and Separatist archetypes. From what I know, these archetypes can be used together.
5) I believe the adventure module is for 11th level characters, so go to 11th level.
6) I'm going for a battle cleric.
7) You can suggest any multiclassing.
8) These feats are mandatory: Lamashtu's Mark, Fearsome Finish (maybe), and Destroy Identity.
9) These traits are mandatory: Birthmark, Courageous, and Deformed.

Also, can I use a falchion as a one-handed?

Okay, guys. I've been reading RotRL lately and a thought came to me. I want to create a magic using character that can represent Lust (aka an enchanter). However, I do have a couple ideas around this. Here are a couple of parameters:

1) The character's background is that he's either a descendant of Sorshen, the Runelord of Lust or that he's one of the most gifted enchanters since Sorshen.
2) I want to play as a male human sorcerer. Now, I know that you guys would recommend the Arcane Bloodline, Fey Bloodline, or any other bloodlines that have a lean towards enchantment. However, I want something more unique and interesting. So, I'm asking you guys to create a Succubus Bloodline (or Incubus Bloodline, if you want to call it that). Now I know what you guys are going to say: use the Abyssal Bloodline. But from what I have seen and read, that is used mainly used for melee sorcerers and/or summoning sorcerers. What I want is an enchantment spell focused bloodline with a demon theme, the Succubus in particular.
3) Are there any feats, skills, spells, and the like that you guys can recommend?

So... can anyone point me to some PBP Wrath of the Righteous recruitments that are still open to taking new players (preferably noob friendly)?


I posted this in the Wrath of the Righteous messageboards. But I might as well as put it here. So, I downloaded the Wrath of the Righteous handbook today. There are some things that I don't know about (Mythic paths and the stuff from Ultimate Campaign because I haven't looked at them or bought them). But that's not the point. My concern is with the campaign traits. So the first thread I made on paizo.com was on the idea of an Aasimar Oracle of Aroden. It was just to get feedback on a build. For those who are curious, the thread is here. I have only been tinkering with it and jotting down ideas since then. But looking over WotR, this might be the perfect AP to play with this character. Any other advice you can add would be great; but here is the main question.

Which of the campaign traits would fit with this character? The closest would be Touched by Divinity, but the description of the trait seems to be a bit off. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

So, I want to make a witch hunter type of character for Reign of Winter. Originally, I wanted to make a Musket Master. But wouldn't a Witch Hunter Inquisitor work better? I want to use a gun, so I don't know wish to choose.


So I want to create a bard that I can play in Jade Regent. The problem is that I am conflicted on the build. Do I go with a human that I have an interesting concept to? Or do I go with a Musetouched Aasimar? So, which should I choose?

With my human choice, I was planning on creating a pied piper type of character; someone who's really skilled with a flute. However, I would have him be a mute. How to do that, however, is the question. Would I need a third party source? Some kinda of house-rule? A flaw (which I cannot find)? Please explain.

The Musetouched Aasimar, on the other hand, is easier to build with and I could come up with some backstory for interesting RP purposes. I have access to the Lillend's Harp trait. However, I don't start with two feats or an extra skill point from race. One of my favorite feats to pick up is Extra Traits. I was hoping to pick up either the Intense Artist trait or the Inner Beauty trait. If I could make a Musetouched Aasimar bard build work, let me know.

Hello. I am creating a tiefling wizard for any possible Shattered Star campaigns that I join. I would like some advice on my choices. Tell me what you think. I'm looking for the following:

1) Class - Good choice? Is the Thassiloinian Specialist worth it?
2) Skills - What skills should I spend the rest of my skill points on?
3) Feats - I have some possible feats written down. Which ones on the list would you recommend? Which feats that I don't have written down would you recommend?

Background:

Born to Malcolm and Samantha Tarmikos, Dakamos has had difficult relations with his family. Malcolm is the head of the newest family of nobles in Magnimar. About 3 years after the birth of their first child, Sebastian, Samantha became pregnant with Dakamos. However, the happy couple were shocked when their child was revealed to be a tiefling. Since then, Malcolm has gone out of his way to avoid and belittle Dakamos, considering him to be an embrassment and thinking that if Dakamos’s heritage was revealed to the public, it could ruin everything that he has worked to gain. This behavior has been passed to Sebastian and Dakamos’s twin brothers, Baolo and Belor (younger by three years). Samantha, however, loves her son and tries to give him everything he could ever need and want.

About 9 years after Dakamos’s birth, Malcolm and Samantha had a girl, Meilin. Meilin grew up to love her older brother, despite the attempts made by her other brothers. As she got older and Dakamos came back from the academies, showing her what he learned, she became interested in magic as well. She currently strives to be a great wizard like her brother, though she doesn’t know what school she wants to specialize in (or if she wants to specialize).

During his younger years, his mother would read him stories of Xin and the Thassilonian Empire. Through these stories, Dakamos became interested in Thassilon and magic in general. Samantha sent him to the Acadamae in Korvosa when he turned 12. This led Dakamos to develop an interest in Conjuration. However, 2 years later, Malcolm came to the Acadamae and took Dakamos back to the Tarmikos manor, berating Dakamos, saying that him learning magic is useless and insulting him, saying that he’s useless and wouldn’t amount to anything. When Dakamos turned 15, Samantha sent him to the Golemworks academy to learn even more, crafting golems in particular. However, Malcolm forced Dakamos to drop from the academy again.

Dakamos, who was fed up with being denied his freedom and the key to power and recognition, eventually ran away at 17 (with some money that his mother gave him), to gain experience in the field and to learn about the Thassilonian Empire firsthand. For the next 8 years, Dakamos travelled across Varisia. He established himself in various groups, including taking some jobs and research for the Order of Cyphers. He became considered an expert on Thassilonian lore.

While he was in the area that the former Thassilonian Realm of Haruka was located, Dakamos felt his Conjuration magic become stronger. He also heard the voice of Krune, the runelord of sloth, telling him to embrace sloth, asking why he should have to work for his goals, when he could get others to do the work for him. Dakamos, however, told Krune that if he wanted to reach his goals, then he should do the work himself and he should use his abilities to have others work with him. He decided to embrace sloth’s equivalent virtue: Zeal. For this zeal is what drives him to better himself on his magic and to expand his knowledge.

However, his need for recognition and self-worth led him to create what people could see as ludicrous or dark, malevolent goals for himself. For he wishes to obtain the power of a runelord and the sheer power of Xin himself.

While he was studying Thassilonian ruins near the city of Korvosa, he was approached by some members of the Pathfinder Lodge in Magnimar. They delivered Dakamos a letter from Sheila Heidmarch. She offered him the opportunity to join the Society, to have various resources at his disposal, and to continue his research into the Thassilonian Empire. His interest peaked, Dakamos agreed to join, accompanying the members to Magnimar.

Personality:
Dakamos is a smart man. He does come across as a bit arrogant, but he believes that due to his skill and knowledge, he has every right to be arrogant and prideful. He also comes across as a bit uninterested most of the time, showing the somewhat more bored, slothful side that his specialization relies on. He often spends his time writing his notes and research in his journals, even when traveling or in a conversation. When something interesting catches his eye (especially things related to magic, Thassilon, the runelords, or Xin), he displays the virtue of conjuration in spades, furiously writing notes, research, and observations in his journals and books or immediately moving to the object or location in question to try and get a better look.

Appearance: (often hides head in deep hood of robes)
Arms: 6 inch boney barbs coming out of elbows
Build: Very tall and a little gaunt
Ears: Pointed
Eyes: Glow with an eerie yellow light
Hair: Dark Blue, Long, slicked back, reaches shoulder blades
Horns: Ram-like, Light black in color
Tail: Fiendish
Skin: White with a reddish tint to it
Teeth: Fanged


I haven’t played Pathfinder and this is my first character concept to have a full build. So please bear with me.

So, I’ve been watching Doug Walker’s Ten Commandments vs. Prince of Egypt video and his Prince of Egypt video for DreamWorks-uary. While I was watching the videos, I was doing some Pathfinder work. I eventually came up with this idea for a character. Now I have the idea and the concept. It’s the build that I’m stuck with. If you can help me with some suggestions, that would be great.

Here is the character concept:

The concept is based off of Moses from Prince of Egypt. My interpretation of this character is that the son of farmers is chosen by a deity to spread their word, imbuing him with a small portion of their power. Now here is a breakdown of what I was thinking in terms of race, class, etc. For the most part, I’m dead-set on these choices. However, if you can explain the changes you suggest, then I may make the changes. My goal is to create a character who is close to the concept and can be played without having third party sources. I am not in a game right now, but if I join a game, I don’t want there to be any problems with getting my GM to agree to a homebrew.

Background: The character (who we will refer as “Bob” until an actual name is chosen) is the only son a pair of farmers and had a grandfather who was a warrior (until the grandfather was injured and was forced to retire and married the daughter of a farmer). In Bob’s life, he didn’t worship any gods. Bob has an ability to ripen fruit through touch, which is considered a blessing. One night, Bob heard a soft voice calling out to him. So he followed the voice to a nearby hill with a lone oak tree. From there, it is like the Burning Bush scene from Prince of Egypt. The entity claims to be the Dead God of Humanity, Aroden. He tells Bob of his return and that he needs a messenger to gather followers so that when he returns, he has a religious footing. Aroden gives Bob a small portion of his power to complete his mission. However, the god did not explain how Bob’s powers work or why he chose Bob. So, Bob sets out to do his job.
Race: Originally, I was thinking human. But I then thought about being an aasimar. I do have a story. Bob was raised as a farmer. So I was thinking the ability of ripening fruit with a touch would be a good cosmetic touch. However, for a bit of RP flavor, Bob doesn’t know he’s an aasimar. He believes that he’s human with a special ability that sets him apart from other humans. But, he doesn’t mind.
Personality: The character’s personality is humble, meek, and unsure of himself. He is confused on why Aroden chose him to do this task. He’s not an adventurer and has never left the farm, so everything he encounters is a new experience to him and doesn’t know how to react.
Class: For this, I am pretty much dead-set on being an oracle. I think that an oracle would be a good class for the background of being chosen as a messenger/herald/prophet. If you can convince me to change this, then I might consider it.
Deity: I was thinking of Aroden. The idea of Aroden choosing this common man to be his herald to deliver the message of Aroden’s return with Aroden giving the character a portion of his power in order to cast divine spells (because the character is just a farmer) is (IMO) a very interesting concept (though it might be cliched).
Curse: I was thinking Haunted or Legalistic. But otherwise, I’m lost on this. Please help me on this one.
Mystery: In regards to the concept and the god of choice, I’m leaning towards the Heavens mystery. But I’m open to other suggestions.
Alignment: I’m thinking Neutral Good. But, with Aroden’s alignment being Lawful Neutral, this is one of my concerns. I’m just thinking about why Aroden would choose a Neutral Good individual to be the herald of his return.
Default Weapon: Either a scythe or a quarterstaff, due to his humble background.

That’s pretty much it. For skills, I know I want to pick Profession (Farmer). Otherwise, I’m just lost.

So if you guys can suggest different builds to make this work, I would appreciate it.
