Artoo springs into action again and fastens the rope at a cylinder and turns it until almost half of the rope is wound up. Then he cuts the rope and repeats that with another cylinder and the other half of the rope. Finally he ties the two weights to the ropes and carefully lowers them. As the ropes are pulled tight the clockwork is set into motion. The balance wheel starts turning slowly swinging. The swing motion becomes more lively with every turn it takes until it starts to hit it's boundaries creating the typical click-clack noise.


At the top of the tower besides the clockwork stands Artoo. He is almost done with his work but on the floor lie two large iron weights with the remains of some rotten rope.


Artoo removed the rust from all the accessible surfaces and oiled the axles as far as his he had oil to do so. As soon as he gets it refilled he continues with that. With his other arms he busies himself checking every wheel if it would move already to be able to reach the surfaces where the gears mesh.

Suddenly Artoo pauses, turns towards Lini and points to something specific in the gears where the remains of two rotten and torn off ropes hang from two pulleys.


Arto springs into action. A hidden compartment opens and Artoo exchanges it's hands with other tools better fitted for the job. A rotating metal brush a grinder and a oil can. It immediately starts removing rust creating a large cloud of rust and metal dust.
