You sense no traps, but a rather interesting design on the side is inset with a ruby on each of the sarcophogi.

Lucien, make a memory (Int) check. All with requisite skill make Knowledge (religion) check.

Edit: Sorry, I forgot Lucien is going to be out except on Saturdays. Everyone else, make your checks.

Now having light, I take it you investigate the interior of the building. Order? I know Dantis is in the back.

The colors of the murals and pictograms on the walls inside seem eirie in your torchlight (the ones in the light of the spell are equally creepy). They depict grusome scenes of battle and slaughter.

As you advance along the passageway, you finally come to a chamber. Torches line the walls here, and they light themselves as you walk in. Around you are thirteen sarcophagi, adorned with horns and horrific symbology. There are no door other than the one you came through.

Wulf will take the lead, but before doing so he will draw his spear and utter the command word to activate the magic effect.
Lucien follows Wulf closely (about six feet away).

then Arik follows Lucien

Male Human Bard 3

Arik then tells the group of what he knows " This is similar to tombs of the demon warriors from long ago that exist in Hathir territory. These warriors fought each other with great magic long ago when the Hathir people were young." Arik then looks at the others, "Well we might as well see whats in there."

The sun is still low and climbing slowly as you leave the village. spellcaster types, especially Davos, should have the common sense to wait until you are outside the village to prepare spells. Post those on the other thread. They morning passes uneventfully, but when the sun is high in the sky, Davos your familiar recounts to you an interesting object up ahead. You approach, and it appears to be a low stone building, shaped rather like a ziggurat with a prominant rectangular entranceway. The sun is still high, and you could make much progress still today, but the edifice is on your way. What do you do?

Hathir do not come from Arcania. They come from the southern continent. But I know what you mean... sort of. It would be better if you claimed to be traders. That's not uncommon.

Wulf rises from his slumber in as nonthreatening manner as he can, never taking his eyes off as many of the strangers as he can possibly keep in view. He is wary of the Jotnir, as he is of any stranger, but common relations would otherwise imply he has at least a little less to fear than his comrades.

He says nothing, deciding that Arik would be a better man to do the talking anyway. He stays cautiously close to his weapon, which lays on the ground parallel to his bedroll, so that it would take only a small amount of time to snatch it up. He does not reach for it just yet, however, as he does not want to provoke the strangers into doing something foolish.

Wulf glares hard at the halfling, muttering curses under his breath as he barely restrains the urge to punt the detatched little hanger-on into the next valley.

He sighs finally, deciding that it wouldn't do any good anyway, and notices that night is indeed falling. He looks up at the sky and the fading light, attempting to judge what weather can be expected throughout the night.

He glances at Arik, and speaks firmly in their native tongue.

"Be careful what you wish for, Sworn-Brother. Dark spirits thrive on such small utterances as that. Guard your words and thoughts well, lest you conjure up something that should not be met."

Survival check: 16

Arik looks sliently at the ground, thinks then goes to his pack grabs his horn and as the sun starts to set blows his horn softy once. Then falls asleep when it is dark.

HP Gain: 5 points. Now that Rage has worn off, HP total is now 26.

Feeling somewhat better, Wulf looks down at himself and growls in annoyance. His treasured family armor has been hopelessly marred by large claw tears and is stained beyond relief by the blood and gore of the strange beast.
Angrily, he hurls the empty potion flask, finding only minor pleasure in hearing it shatter, and gives the beast's carcass one last angry kick for good measure.

Arik looks at Wulf in shock ".... nevermind, so the beast is dead, we should leave before someone comes."

After a moment, he walks toward the owlbear corpse. Kneeling, he produces a long steel dagger from the folds of his cloak. Lucien proceeds to cut out the creature's eyes and tongue, placing them in a small bag around his waist. Next, he plucks a feather from the beast and fastens it in his long, braided hair.
