Thank you.

Sorry, I thought I had made a pitch for Arianna but realized it was more of a question. Please add Arianna for consideration.

Couple of questions. What about Unchained versions of classes? Background skills?

Desna is the best Goddess for this AP
After all she is the goddess of exploration.

Submitting Arianna Ravenswood, Human Unchained Rogue, who barely escaped Restov with her life.
I'm thinking she would make a good Spymaster(mistress).

Female Human Rogue 1

Sorry for the delay in posting. I had car trouble over the weekend on the way to my in-laws and had to take Monday off while it was being fixed. Spent the last couple of days at work trying to catch up. Will get a post up in a little bit.

Female Human Rogue 1

Arianna sees the first group of riders approach the pallisades when she hears a voice of welcoming call out to them "At least they're welcoming visitors. Perhaps we should go as well." Taking a quick count of the riders entering the gates, she shrugs her shoulders "Going to be cozy to say the least."

Female Human Rogue 1

Arianna shifts in the saddle trying to ease her aching muscles. Growing up on the streets hadn't given her anytime to learn the finer points of horsemanship and it showed as her calf muscles screamed. In fact she hadn't done much riding before she stole this horse on her way out of town. Some poor nobleman was probably missing it right now but that didn't bother her much.
Eyeing the low scudding clouds and smelling the scent of ozone in the air
Arianna turns to her companions "Looks like rain. Maybe we can ride the storm out inside." she says, pointing to the outpost ahead.

Checking in

Submitting Arianna Ravenswood for your consideration. She was in a Kingmaker game that went kaput a while ago. I'd have to tone down her gear some but other than that she should be ready to go.

Background:

Ever since she was a little girl Arianna and her friends would pretend they were princes or princesses and living a life of privilege and luxury far away from the tumbledown shops and ramshackle apartments that were their everyday existence.
While Arianna's mother was working, earning a few coppers here and there, Arianna and her friends would be roaming the streets, looking for adventure. it was there that they met Finnegan, an older boy, who showed them how they could make some extra coin for themselves by taking things from shops and merchant stalls when no one was looking and bringing them to him.
Arianna was entranced by the older boy and soon began following him around like a lost puppy. Finnegan was amused by attention of the scrawny girl and soon began teaching her more "tricks of the trade" as he called it. First she just stood outside watching the street while he went in to a locked shop or apartment then later showing her how to pick a locked door or palm a trinket from a shop.
Things were great until one day Arianna found Finnegan's lifeless body in a pool of his own blood in an alleyway with the word "thief" carved in his forehead. Scared Arianna ran home to wait for her mother and never ran the streets again.
Things were good for awhile until one particularly cold winter Ari's mother came down with a bad cough. Unable to pay for a priest Arianna's mother insisted she would be fine in "a day or so". A week passed and things did not get better. One night Arianna's mother called her over to her bed. There she showed Arianna an old faded letter. It was a love letter from a man calling himself Marcus and professing his undying love to her. Marcus, she explained, was Marcus Wyndham a lord of a minor house in Restov. The affair lasted several months until Arianna's mother announced that she was pregnant. After that Marcus broke off the relationship and told her to never contact him again, or else.
The next morning Arianna's mother was gone.
After attending a pauper's funereal for her mother with a few friends an idea began to form in Arianna's head, she would take the letter to Earl Wyndham and he would have to recognize her as his granddaughter and take her into the family.
Using some of her last remaining coins, Arianna bribed some of the Earl's servants to get an audience with the old man. After reading the letter the Earl summoned his son Marcus, now a grown man with a family of his own, into the room to respond to young woman's allegations. After reading the letter something passed behind his eyes, something nostalgic, before he tossed the letter to the ground, denouncing it as a fake and a forgery and accusing Arianna of trying to extort money from him and his family. as Arianna bent to retrieve the letter Marcus called the family servants to escort her out of his house. After being bodily thrown out of the townhouse and into the street Arianna made her way home, curled up on the bed, and wept.
The next morning there came a knock on Arianna's door. It was a messenger from Marcus's son who asked that Arianna meet with him that afternoon at an nearby inn and that she should bring the letter so that they may discuss what to do about the matter. Arianna's heart leapt. Arriving at the inn at the specified time Arianna was escorted to a room in the back. Seated at a table was the Earl's grandson, as she stepped into the room the door slammed behind her. She turned her head to see two of the Wyndham retainers on either side of her. As they grabbed her the lordling stood up and approached her demanding the letter so they could end this farce once and for all.
Infuriated, Arianna could not believe what was happening to her. Who did this sniveling little coward think he was? She was his half-sister after all and she would not be treated this way. Her years spent growing up on the streets took over and Arianna managed to break free as she rolled out of way and sprang to her feet. Pulling a lead shotted sap from her bodice she cracked the noble alongside his head. Hearing something crack as she tumbled out a window and into the alley below Arianna landed on her feet and began running. She didn't stop running until she reached an old abandoned building she and Finnegan used as a safehouse. Pausing just long enough to grab some old gear that she thought she would need Ari headed towards the town's main gate.
Arriving at the gate and unsure of what to do next Arianna spotted two men looking over one of the handbills she had noticed about town advertising for explorers to go into the Greenbelt and settle it down once and for all. This gave Arianna an idea, approaching the men she said "What an excellent idea, huh?" grabbing each by the arm she said again "Let's be on our way". Physically guiding the two by their elbows Arianna led them out the gate and into their destiny. giving one last final look over her shoulder she thought "This is not over, I will be back. Oh yes, I will be back".

Female Human Rogue 1

Arianna smiles her first real smile at Bergan "I'm impressed! You cut quite the figure of a dashing warrior."

Female Human Rogue 1

Arianna sneers in contempt as the guardsman drops his weapon, muttering under breath about starting a fight and not finishing it. She picks up the fallen weapon and as she hands it back to the old warrior she whispers "Some other time, then."

Female Human Rogue 1

As Arianna tumbles around the guard, she says "Oh, I intend to finish it properly but my fights not with you."

Female Human Rogue 1

Hoping that with that smack by the flat of the blade the guard learns that she really doesn't want to hurt him, but taking no chances Arianna will tumble around him to square K-16 and place Garess between her and Anya and attack.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

SA Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Female Human Rogue 1

Wincing in pain at the sword strike, Arianna grits her teeth and says "I do not wish to kill you since you are only following the orders of that madman, so back off while you still can." So saying she will swing with her shortswords, turning the blade at the last second so that the flat of the blade strikes the guardsman in front of her.

"You're only making it worse for yourself!"
"Making it worse? How can it be worse? Jehovah! Jehovah! Jehovah!"

Female Human Rogue 1

Arianna will use the Total Defense manuever, adding +4 to her AC (making it a 22), and let Garess land the first blow. That way she can claim to have acted in self defense.

As Kesten's words sink in, Arianna pales a little, then regains her composure "So the little lordling is dead? Good, serves him right for he and his bully-boys would have done the same to me if they had the chance and the only reason you gave me "sanctuary" is because I paid you, you mercenary bastard."

Female Human Rogue 1

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Arianna is going to go on the defensive, i.e. Total Defense, and let Garess strike the first blow. Hopefully she can survive it.

Female Human Rogue 1

Percdeption check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Ariaana rides her horse past Captain Garess to the gates, where she dismounts and examines the wolf pelt.
I assume it's the boys pet wolf?
"Your proclamation is all well and good, Captain. Except you seem to have forgotten one detail. We are no longer in Restov, hell we aren't even in Brevoy anymore, and the word of the Swordlords hold little meaning to those folks out here. These people came out here to start a new life, away from the city, where their future, their destiny, is theirs to make, not to bend their knee to some other petty tyrant."
Hearing the 'twang' of a bow string, Arianna pulls her swords. Upon seeing ther eis no immediate danger, she relaxes but doesn't sheathe her weapons.
"You went out to slay the fey that live in the forest, and when they proved too much for you, humiliated you. you returned and imediately lashed out at anyone or anything in reach. You slew a boy's pet, an animal that kept that boy alive and safe through the harsh winter just past. A four legged animal, that proved to be more human than many a two legged one that I've known." she looks pointedly at the good Captain. "So in your hurt and spite you look to ruin a good man's business, his livelyhood, just so you can save face and project the image that you're still in charge. Well guess what, No one appointed you their leader!"
If it's not the boy's wolf, ignore that part about it in my tirade, otherwise everything else stands
So saying, Arianna waits for Captain Garess or the guards to cut her down, but she wont go without a fight.

Diplomacy check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Arianna will keep an eye out the tunnel entrance, swords drawn. Whispering to Alannah "Let's hope the little buggers don't force the issue. I have no fondess for being the "meat" in a kobold sandwich.

Female Human Rogue 1

Arianna will look at the big woodsman and shrug "I'll see what I can do." Pulling out a leather case Arianna unrolls it and removes a set of fine tools from within. Examining each trap the young rogue begins to go to work.

Wrath DM:
As Arianna hears the news of the captains departure, she wonders to herself "What has the fool done?" Before the group readies for the road she will wander about the camp checking to see if it was 'her' gaurdsman who rode off the the good captain.

Trying to play catch up

Wrath DM:

During the day she will stop at the 'bar' and talk to the proprietors and patrons, just trying to find out more about them and their hopes and aspirations
Diplomacy check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Before dinner Arianna will visit Milos and purchase a new quality weapon. (Masterwork Short Sword) and chat with the merchant and his family about coditions on the roads.

During dinner Arianna will keep her own counsel and listen to the conversations going on around her. After dinner she will seek out the gaurdsman who had warned her of the mercenaries looking for her. If he is not on duty she will ask him to join her for a drink or two (if he is on duty she will ask him to join him after shift).
Once at the bar she will purchase a bottle of whiskey for them to drink. During the night she will steer the conversation towards Garess and his men's feelings toward him. If she gets the feeling of discontent or even ambivilance she wil put forward her proposal "Listen my friend, your employer worries me. I'm afraid he will put himself in a postion took ride my coattails and and take credit for my deeds. What I propose is something I do not ask lightly, I need someone on the inside who can keep me in touch with what the man is thinking." she pulls a small pouch out of her bodice and places it on the table "Here is a small stipend, (10 gp) to help you fill out your pay. Take it and do what you will."

Female Human Rogue 1

Sorry, wife's sick again. Will post somw more tomorrow at work (where I can get some peace and quiet).

Female Human Rogue 1

Unbidden Arianna enters the hut. "Listen, my friend. One of our companions is severely injured, beyond the ability of our healer to repair. Do you have any potions that can knit bone or repair sinew?"

Female Human Rogue 1

Arianna looks at the others and shrugs "If I can't take an old man bare handed, then I'm in worse than I thought" so saying she removes her sword belt and any (visible) weapons she's carrying.
Walking up to the hut, she knocks on the door "Old man...Bokken is it? May I enter?"

Female Human Rogue 1

"Perhaps these people will have medical supplies and can help us with Bergan"
