I'm here and ready to throw another fireball in my face.

FYI, I am on vacation in Greece, so my posts may be inconsistent in frequency and quality.

Awesome. This is gonna feel good.

Aodhan, who was a little too preoccupied with the wounded man, completely missed the goblins' sneak attack. Only Krisanna's efforts to bring his attention is able to break his trance. He looks up and looks terrified. So much so that he almost burns his face with the flame he was holding over his hand. Instinctively, he just throws the flame forward.

Elementalism level 14 power level 1: 1d20 ⇒ 15

The archmaster is clearly terrified of the new situation, especially since he didn't see this coming. He pushes himself from his fear.

Pushing the roll with Scared condition: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Well then... FML...

The archmaster, due to his fear, throws a fireball completely off course, hitting the mountain, and spraying a large amount of snow upwards harmlessly.

I guess I can mark my Elementalism in bold, so I have that going for me, which is nice.

Also, moving into cover.

Oh, that's OP! Thanks!

Hey, GM, I'm not finding the "Adaptive" spell in the book. Do you have its description?

Grand Lodge

M Human Mage-elementalist

It seems I have a matching personality with Aodhan. I, too, think he is going to die...

Does this mean I act now?

Grand Lodge

M Human Mage-elementalist

Aodhan frowns at Krisanna trying to rob the man who isn't even fully dead yet. Before he can answer her, sir Makander takes the initiative and starts carrying the man. The old sage nods in approval and says "Now that's a ducking knight!"

Archmaster Aodhan also carefully wraps the poisoned arrow in a piece of cloth to store it, thinking Perhaps I can look at this poison more closely when there is more time. We may have more insight into this dreadful death.

He only says "I know this is not ideal, but we should try to bring him with us. He still breathes. If we're lucky, we may find a healer before... well, before it's too late."

Aodhan suddenly doesn't care about attackers anymore. He asks sir Makander for the bundle he just received and takes a look at it.

Aodhan rushes to the mallard holding the man and asks for a moment so he can check the man.

Healing level 14: 1d20 ⇒ 3

And, we start the rolls!

Aodhan says "This is a poison arrow. Whoever shot him really wanted him gone. I don't think I can save him."

Grand Lodge

Aodhan freezes when he sees the scene. He says "We should help him, but... it could be a trap." He looks around to see if someone is hiding, ready for an ambush. Or something...

Seeing Bastonn arm himself prompts Aodhan to do the same. He readies some fire from his right hand, in case he needs to heat up the situation.

Not sure how spells work in this game yet, but I fully imagine the old man firebending a flame over his hand.

I'm not rolling anything until I'm told to.

Archmaster Aodhan drops his guard a little bit and says "Forget the snow, someone is suffering nearby! Let's find them!" He makes a motion forward, but does not walk past Bastonn and sir Makander. Instead he tries to rush them forward.

To be fair, Aodhan would never say no to a duck in armor. I know I wouldn't.

The old man replies "Well, this should be an interesting tale!" After a moment of silence, he says "Uh, I don't know the tale, just think it would be interesting to hear. Likely something here is very unkind to signs? So they have had to write it in stone?"

Satisfied with his own discovery, he says "Yes, this is probably what happened! Good-bye, Katja's home! Or hello Dragon Emperor's domain!"

An elderly yet full of energy man tries to catch up to Krisanna, although doing so makes him breathe heavier. Archmaster Aodhan says "Sure, dear, that can mean that. But not for the reason you think. You see, this entire Vale was once part of a civilization ruled by a so-called "Dragon Emperor". Whoever that is, I'm guessing he wanted people to feel they were entering a dragon's mouth!"

The man leans on his large staff to walk, but his robes and age surely aren't helping him. He is hungry, but that has never bothered him. What bothers him more is that being in this pass feels dangerous. A hungry group of travelers would be easy prey to big animals. He says "We should be on the lookout for predators. If we can't find game, they're probably be hungry and a little more daring too."

Just as quickly as he became worried, he became inquisitive. He says "Kris! Take a look at this!" He is pointing to a stone tile which he cleared of snow by stepping on it. Upon closer inspection, there is something that might look as a marking, if someone is willing to believe it. Aodhan says "This is an ancient rune alphabet, I believe!" He insists on pulling out a book from his backpack and after a few moments searching within, he says "I see. Hummm. This can either mean 'Welcome travelers' or 'Katja's home'." We're close!

I'm liking everything about the system so far. Very different from usual d20 games.

@Krisanna: So, I figure learned that Krisanna was going there and it just popped in his head that the mists were a cool thing to study. He totally feels it's going to be smooth sailing and nothing wrong is going to happen in the trip.

@Bastonn: I'm sure we'll get along great. But I kind of feel that Aodhan is somewhat scared of dogs and projects this to Bastonn.

Hi, Veniir's mage is here!

Will add stuff to the sheet tomorrow.

His curiosity got the best of him, so he's looking to catalogue the mist's comings and goings, and try to see if there's a pattern to it.

If Krisanna is up to it, they are old friends. He's kind of scared of Bastonn.
