Hi all,

I'm currently running a converted Age of Worms campaign for Pathfinder. One of the characters in the party is a Paladin. Due to the at will use of Detect Evil, it has become a repetitive use to stand in front of a door and use the ability to essentially create a mob detection so there are really no surprises, and the party always knows the number of creatures and approximate level due to the strength of aura. Beyond using hide alignment, are there other ways to be able to create the mystery of a dungeon while allowing him to use his skill as written, or general advice to pick up the pace? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Thank you for your patience in this rather long delay. I had a bout of pneumonia over the last several days and found myself in the hospital for care without the ability to post. I'm going to work on getting caught up, and rolling soon.

As the combat progresses, Wisp fires a blast of air at the minotaur listening to it cry out in pain. Janira retreats and pulls out her last remaining potion. Constantine fires a bolt at the beast which penetrates through the minotaur's armor. Gillii mumbles some words and coats the beasts' axe in grease. Ravenor moves forward and fires a pistol at the beast continuing to lay on the damage. The minotaur seeing Ravenor as a new threat moves forward five feet and attacks. On the initial swing the axe finds it's mark, and Ravenor begins to bleed. Ziggy seeing his friends in battle runs across the log, but slips and falls into the water.

Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Axe attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Axe Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Gore attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Sorry for the delay. Got bogged down with the holiday. For round 3 Rataji will switch the Ear piercing scream to orange.

Seeing Eramay enter the room, Rataji casts telekinetic Charge and throws Shohirajj at the magic user in the room.

launch an ally within 45 feet to any other location within 45 feet. This movement provokes no attacks of opportunity. If he causes the ally to land adjacent to an opponent, the ally can spend an immediate action to make a melee attack against that opponent with a +2 bonus on the attack roll.

Shohirajj gets an attack at +4 and since this is a surprise round, it will be against a FF target with sneak attack.

I don't think that it's been nine days. Besides, I'm pretty sure that the GM advanced us and we are in combat. I also wanted to see what people's surprise rounds were before I posted to make sure that my actions didn't cause a major problem with the party.

Ravenor tries to use his acrobatics skill to tumble through and around the red skeleton. Unfortunately, the skeleton senses the move and attacks him. In doing so, the blue skeleton seeing an opening also takes a swing.

AoO Red: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Dmg: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
AoO Blue: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Dmg: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Because you failed your check you took AoO from both the skeletons. Since you were moving through an enemy you get bounced back to the last legal square that you could have been. You lose the move action, but you still have another action that you can take.

A sad day for the grippli, but I heard a rumor that they are like a hydra, and multiply upon death.

On a good note, they now have frog legs on the menu at the Wounded Wisp.

I'd like to join as well if there is still an opening. If I'm accepted I've got a few level 1 characters that I've been working on that would do well to play.


However, the chronicle sheet for Murder's Mark lists the adventure as Tier 1-2...
