It's alright. Thanks for letting us know.

I'll be praying for you and your family. Your father especially.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

I'm good to continue. I'm sorry about what's going on with your dad. Hope things work out there.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Yeah, that's why I think this one got abandoned. He should still be able to see updates and if not it wasn't like any of us was taking an excessively long time to post.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Yeah, it's looking like this game got abandoned. Darn, I was looking forward to some shenanigans.

I will when I get home tonight if someone doesn't beat Mee to it.

Okay. I was just worried is all.

Uh, anyone heard from our GM? Is he okay?

Angus is more than happy for the company and tells stories while the others eat around his cook fire. He isn't much of a cook, but he is learning and the food's passable. After supper and a couple of rounds, the Ibbleting sisters start to dance and sing. Even with the long days of travel, it's a fine way to spend the evenings.

His first view of Ilsurian lights up his face in boyish glee. Absolom was far larger, but the hillside city on the lake has a beauty all it's own. The three gnomish sisters look on in awe, their heads peeking around his and over his shoulders.

"Beautiful. Maybe one of you should paint this," Angus says as he pulls Left Cheek and Right Cheek to a stop for a moment as he waited for the road below to clear a little.

"Sure," Fling says after a moment. For once, the triplets are stunned silent.

Angus guides the cart into town and once he sees someone that looks local, likely a farmer here for the Carnival and the market, he calls out to them.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

"Hello there! You seem to be a knowledgable fellow. Where might a few travelers find some warm beds and maybe a chance to earn some coin helping out or entertaining," Angus asks with a winning smile.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Angus can't help but snicker at the bickering sisters. He has only met them a few times before, but they were a lively bunch and having three pretty women on his cart is hardly the worse thing to happen to him.

"Sure, y'all can ride, but after y'all get done fussin', I'm gonna want the whole story in Taldane if ya don't mind."

"Okay!" The three sisters say sweetly in three-part harmony as they interrupt their argument.

"Just so you know, it's all Ping's fault," Ting tells Angus in his right ear, sotto voce.

"Yeah," Fling agrees from his left, "She can't bluff for turnips."

An indignant "Hey!" and the muttering of a few arcane words were all the warning the two of them got before their hair started to change color.

"Ah well, so much for the peace and quiet," Angus mutters to himself as the argument returns to full burn again with flashes of magic now as the magic pranks started. At least his hair wasn't pink this time.

"Quiet's overrated anyway, right ya Cheeks?"

The donkeys only give a glance back before snorting. The tail of the one on the left flutters for a moment before a noxious smell wafts over the cart and ends the argument in a chorus of complaints.

"Gah! That's it! No more cheap beer for you, Left Cheek!" Angus cried as he waved his hat in a vain effort to clear the air. The offending ass just gives a braying snicker as it bobs its head.

'Salright. Just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. Everything else was perfect though. :D

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Woo!

Though, when I was reading Angus' bit, I got a little confused for a moment because the Ibbletings are sisters and I hadn't realized that I never specified that.

Also, I figured Angus' wasn't a part of the carnival. He is just going with them for safety.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Oh, I know. I figured most of that would be between modules.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Looks like all us yanks are on Central time. I live in Alabama and work from 8:30 - 6:30 most days. I don't really have a good way to post from work, so most of my posting comes after 7:00 or 8:00.

Looking forward to this and seeing what happens. I've got plans if the GM doesn't mind us running around as adventurers and running a business on the side. :D

Angus is all ready to go! I figured a proper drunk monk should have a drink counter in his statbar. :)

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Hey, sorry to do this, but I have been feeling like I've been running on empty for a little while and I need to step away from some things so I don't feel overextended. I'm afraid that means I'm dropping several games I'm in and this is one of them.

As I said, I am really sorry about doing this, but I really need to regroup and refocus.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Have a safe trip!

And now back to your previously scheduled shenanigans

*Angus smacks himself in the face*

Why'd she give me this one then?

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Angus, who is grumbling as he falls out of his hammock, grabs a pteradon egg, and his frying pan.

"Need t'get me one o'them magic bags an' stuff it full o'kegs," he mutters as he begins stoking the fire.

Angus is frying up some breakfast. :) Then Dim's plan looks as good as any.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Not me; the stick!
*Angus holds out a small twig*

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Preferably with two people on watch.
Guess Angus has the short stick there. :)

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Profession (Cook): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 Got the wrong modifier last time.

Angus cooks supper and volunteers for the first watch after he sets up his hammock.

Anyone who wakes up during the first watch:

You can hear Angus singing softly to himself. Though the language is strange, the songs he sings are mostly somber, even mournful.
Perform(sing): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Angus chuckles at the memory.

"Oh come now, Captain. Surely you have seen accidents before. Besides, I've done much worse than accidentally stripping a poor girl of her dress before," the rogue says with a dismissive wave and a jovial smile.

"But," he continues on, his smile becoming more suggestive, and his tone deeper and more seductive, "if the Captain wishes, I can certainly show her how I'd dress her." He bows deeply, taking one of her hands with a sweep of his own and kisses the back of it. With a flourish of his cloak, he turns back to the Pteranodons and begins to dress them.

Profession(Cook): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Angus calms down as he realizes that was the last of the pteranodons.

"Hmm, I wonder how you dress one of these," he says as he looks thoughtfully at the carcasses.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

The pteranodon may be ready to flee, but Angus isn't ready to let it go just yet.

"Not too bright, are ye? Ye really shouldnae nipped at me if ye wanted t'be soarin' away," he taunts as he steps up to the beast.

Power attack and shock still on :)

Attack 1: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 12 - 2 = 21
Damage: 2d6 + 11 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 11 + (5) = 21

Attack 2: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 12 - 2 = 15
Damage: 2d6 + 11 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 11 + (2) = 23

Attack 3: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 2 = 11

I know it was more due to teamwork than anything else that we did so well. I'm also not worried about the challenge. I'm just not used to my characters belting out 80+ damage in a round. That's all. :)

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Angus' bellowing laugh rings loud and clear over the squawks of indignant protest.

"That's right birdies! Come ta Angus! I'm gonna fry ye all up," he shouts as he begins to work his way through the big bird-like lizards.

Attack 1 vs Green (Flanking with Noro, Power Attack): 1d20 + 12 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 2 - 2 = 19
Damage (Sneak Attack, Shocking, Power Attack): 2d6 + 5 + 3d6 + 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 5 + (6, 2, 1) + (1) + 6 = 26

Attack 2 vs Brown (Flanking with Suny, Power Attack): 1d20 + 12 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 12 + 2 - 2 = 17
Damage (Sneak Attack, Shocking, Power Attack): 2d6 + 5 + 3d6 + 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 5 + (4, 1, 3) + (1) + 6 = 27

Attack 3 vs Brown (Flanking with Suny, Power Attack): 1d20 + 7 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 7 + 2 - 2 = 20
Damage (Sneak Attack, Shocking, Power Attack): 2d6 + 5 + 3d6 + 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 5 + (5, 1, 6) + (4) + 6 = 32

Ya know, this build is almost unfair. Almost.
:D

Pegleg's player is in one of the games I GM. He seems to have been having lots of stuff going on in real life recently.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Angus stares at the bloody gash on his arm.

"Oh, you shouldnae done that," he says in a low growl as he pulls the greatsword free.

With a grin almost as ferocious as Cap'n Noro, Angus dives under the flapping wings to get opposite fo Noro.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Lightning dances on his blade as he calls out to it, the word of power lost in a crack of thunder, then he attacks.

Attack (Flanking): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Damage (Sneak + Electricity): 2d6 + 5 + 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 4) + 5 + (2, 2, 3) + (6) = 27

"Howl! Howl my thunder and feast on my prey," he cackles after his strike.

Angus is going too.

"Don't even think about it. First rule or raidin' ruins is nothing's easy. Bet the shinies is trapped," Angus says as he looks at the river and the bridge. Slowly he moves forward, his eyes looking for anything amiss and his ears straining to hear even the slightest sound of a trigger or that inaudible hum that seems to come with magic traps.

Perception (Traps): 1d20 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 3 = 30

Angus is looking for traps on the bridge and in the river close by.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

"I am not nearly drunk enough," Angus mutters to himself after Suny shows up. Whether he's responding to Dim or the nearly nude elf is unclear.

With a sigh, he follows the strange man further inland before trying to make his way to the ruins.

"'Pologies, Cap'n. I feel much better now," Angus says with a deferential bow. "I think we can repair the docks, but before we send a bunch of our crew to shore, perhaps we'd best see if there are as many giants as I fear there are."

If there were to be had, Angus would have grabbed them, so this is probably more a GM question

"Aye Cap'n, do you want normal torches or should we use our enemies' corpses?"

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Angus spends the days at sea laying claim to the galley. He's not a great cook, but he's not a bad one either and he's more than willing to help out with other chores on deck. After all, a crew is only as good as its weakest member and Angus is not so selfish that he thinks himself above the hard work.

"Well, if we could get some flames in those eyes we'd have quite a sight at night," he says when he spots the statues. "Don't suppose those charts had where this fort's supposed to be, cap'n. I think that should be where we start tamin' this beast."

"Why am I not surprised," Angus mumbles as he sees Suny walking up without pants. It was a wonder the woman was clothed at all. Already he could see that this voyage was going to be a contest of wills between his more noble side and his libido. Too tired to to really reply much at this point, he just hands the second set of clothes to Suny and goes to find someplace to set up his hammock and sleep off his fatigue. Before nodding off, he reminds himself to see how much it'd be for clothes for all of the girls now on the ship.

"Damn slavers," he mutters as he falls asleep, "coulda at least let the lasses have some clothes."

The dream he has is one that he won't be sharing with Suny or any of the other women, and he'd might as well keelhaul himself if Captain Noro ever found out about it. Still, it was a nice dream.

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Well, it was worth a shot. :)

Bluff: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

"We placed the order a month ago. I don't know why it's not in the ledgers. We were assured that it would be delivered to our ship at the docks when we next came into Port Peril," Angus says, silently cursing his luck. "My cap'n is expecting enough dried and preserved food to feed sixty men for three months and enough fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat to feed that many for a week. We also ordered twenty bottles of rum, two barrels of Oldlaw whiskey, ten casks of Linnorm mead, and ten casks of ale on her ship today. Basically told me I could keelhaul meself if I came back empty-handed."

In the interest of getting on with it. Angus will pay for the goods and help load them on the wagons, though he grumbles about being double-charged the whole time. Can you let me know how much all of that, and the maps from earlier, are so I can take it from Angus' money?

When Angus returns to the ship, and gets the loading of the supplies started with, he finds Noro and gets her attention.

"For you, my cap'n," he says graciously as he bows low and presents the splendid tricorn hat he nabbed earlier to the shorter woman with low bow. As he straightens, he pulls out a scroll tube with the maps and charts of the island and the waters around it. "As is this. Let it never be said that I can't follow orders," he says with a wink.

When Suny returns or when Angus finds her
Angus pulls out another set of clothes and holds them out for the elf.

"I hope this makes up for the embarrassment I caused at the party and in the market," he tells the elf. "Though next time I say I'm loaning ye me cloak and saying it's 'til ye can make yerself decent, that means go put yer clothes back on, not saunter off in it."

HP: 10/10 | AC: 16/16/12 | F +2, R +6, W +2 | Per:+6, Init: +4, Drinks: 0 :(

Looking for some good men and women.

"If you have some carpenters and masons looking for work, I'm sure my cap'n would be happy to have them for a few months. A cook and a trapper or two would also be nice," Angus replies as he rubs his chin. "We recently, ah, acquired some property and plan to throw a big party in three months, so if any of them also know how to brew some drinks, that'd be great. As for pay, full shares of any treasure we find plus another thirty crowns each seems fair."

If we aren't willing to pay that, just whack Angus when he gets back to the ship. :)

Browbeating for fun and profit

Angus' nostrils flare as he takes what seems to be a steadying breath.

"Do you have sausages in yer ears, boy? I said the order was placed a month ago because we were assured that everything would be ready by then. If you don't have a record of it, then that's hardly my or my cap'n's fault," the ulfen snaps as he looms over the young man, his blue eyes hard.

"Seeing as you are obviously slow-witted, I'll keep this simple. We ordered enough dried and preserved food to feed sixty men for three months and enough fresh fruit and meat to feed that many for a week. We also ordered twenty bottles of rum, two barrels of Oldlaw whiskey, ten casks of Linnorm mead, and ten casks of ale. Now, if you'd be so kind as to have that loaded on a wagon, I'll make sure it gets to my cap'n's ship so you don't have to worry about making another ham-fisted mess of things."

Angus leans in closer, a wolf-like grin on his face, "that is, unless you'd like to get my cap'n involved. She's a fierce woman and I'd hate to be the one that caused her to have to delay to leave port. Who knows, she may let me take you along as a plaything for when I get bored."

Let me know if I need more rolls. :)

Unless told otherwise, I'm guessing I can take 10 on these checks. I'm rolling just in case.

First stop on Angus' tour of Port Peril's shops was The Risen Admiralty. After buying the best maps he can of the island and surrounding seas, he heads for a clothing stall that has some nice hats and quietly as he can, slips under the draped tables and grabs a couple of outfits Suny's size and the nicest tricorn he can for his new captain before sneaking out and down an alley.

Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24 Taking 10 => 23

His next order of business was to get his cloak back. It didn't take long to find the golden elf, after all, there's not many elven women running about in naught but a fine cloak. He stalks the elf for a bit before he sees his chance. Quick as lightning, the ulfen moves like a whirlwind. He spins Suny free of his cloak with one hand while the other forces the elf's arms up so he can force the tunic in that hand over her head. That done, he knocks her feet out from under her and threads her legs into a pair underpants then pants. Angus only takes a moment to put a pair of boots on Suny's feet, then runs off, putting his cloak back on.

That taken care off, he walks off to the bamboo structure he'd heard would be a good place to find some help.

"My good sir, I hear that you may know of some skilled men and women that are looking for some excitement," Angus says jovially as he walks up to the older man.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 Taking 10 => 17, Trying to get a few more good hands.

After securing (or not) some extra hands, Angus moves to one of the stalls selling food and other supplies for ships setting out. Picking out the youngest assistant, Angus puts on his best scowl.

"My cap'n would like to know why the supplies we ordered a month ago are not on her ship," he growls, hiding a smile beneath a glower.
