Andros is only level ten, but his damage output on paper was pretty impressive. Try and talk your GM into letting you use one 3rd party feat- Deadly Agility, from Path of War. It's a dex-to-damage feat, but really, it should have always existed. If you can get that, you're golden.

Well, if you ever get the time to start it up again, I'll be here.

Andros returns to the hallway, allowing Tavius the time to get by and try to destroy the skeleton.

Quiet today....

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

"I'm... not sure I understand. Do you want to face that thing alone? Because the more of us there are, the better chance we have of killing it again before it can do anything. Hmmm... would moving it be possible, or might it disrupt the enchantment? If we could set it in a position where we were directly across from each other, we could easily flank it."

Edit to avoid double-posting

Andros shakes his head at the ring, "I'm not very good with shields, and hopefully I find a couple more kukris before long. For now, a free fist would be more valuable than a shield to me."

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

As Tavius steps through the ruined door, Andros gives him a nod in greeting.
"Umm... So, I found this on the other crypt thing. Any idea what it is?" He holds out a simple mithral ring.

"Also, now that the three of us are back together, should we find the others first or destroy the last Crypt Thing? There might still be useful items on it, and it looks like our captors planted them here with the gear we need. Did you find anything on the spellcaster?" the alien looks through the door at the mangled remains of the creature Tavius eviscerated.

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

Did Tavius make it through the door?

Ah. Well, I never really pay attention to pop songs (new or classic), so....

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

I feel like I'm missing a reference of some kind....

Yep. We got separated, I killed a Crypt thing, Tavius killed the spellcaster, and now we're all coming back together.

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17

Andros pauses as he's about to go through the door. He's pretty sure he heard his name coming from somewhere. He turns around, and heads to the other side of the room, then, after pounding on the door, calls out, "Is that someone? Tavius? The door's locked, and I think you might be better equipped to open it than I am." He then steps back, preparing for the door to splinter open.

Andros hears the pounding coming from ahead of him, and goes down the hallway, opening the door in front of him with his weapons still at the ready.

Tavius wrote:
Well, as soon as everybody is decently equipped, then I won't seem so out of scale.

This is true. Once I get two more kukris, not counting magic (even weapon enhancements), I'll be doing upwards of 8d10+56 damage on a full attack, plus crits. After my primary buff (castable as a swift action), it's more like 9d10+99. So perhaps I'm the overpowered one?

Or maybe it's just that level 10 is really powerful.

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

Andros shakes his head to steady himself for a moment, "Whoa.... that was weird. What just happened? Maybe I should leave this for later. I wonder what's over there?"

He walks to the far corner of the room, looking at what seems to be a passageway of some sort.

Andros looks at the labyrinth on the floor, and, on an impulse, decides to follow it, attempting to make his way to the center.

Oh, right. You have that insane reach. Man, Symbiats are powerful. So, you have a decent chance of taking no damage at all, I guess.

Not to try and kill Tavius, but shouldn't that attack have threatened a crit?

He studies the pattern on the floor, trying to determine if it's a puzzle.

Andros quickly, though cautiously, makes his way to the southern doorway and opens it.
If possible this round, he'll also go into Tavius' room. No chance of seeing Jovich.

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

Andros moves over to the hidden doorway and activates the catch.

"Umm... Tavius said this one" Andros indicates the ring with the red gem, "Absorbs and redirects force energy, and I don't know what the other one does. If you need it, you can have one of my kukris. I'm really best with four, but I can make do with one if you need to be armed." He hands out one of the curved blades to Laurelin.

Kasatha Warpriest of Iomedae 10 HP 79/90; AC 24/17/17; +13 Fort, +9 Ref, +12 Will; +7 Init, +15 Per; Fervor 9/9, Blessing 6/8; Active Effects: Ironskin, Magic Vesment

Right, forgot the desk.

Tavius calls out for Laurellin to join him as he puts the breastplates and glaives behind the desk. He offers the rings to her, then puts them in his pocket if she declines. Once that's done (taking as little time as possible), he pauses right before opening the secret door, turning to Laurellin, "Unless, of course, um, do you want to take down the last skeleton first?" if she doesn't object, he activates the catch.

Yay! So, two arms with the kukris, and two carrying as much as he can. Any chance there's a backpack around here somewhere, or something that can hold all this stuff?

Tavius, you might have been able to phrase that last post slightly better...

Andros keeps pummeling the crypt thing, determined to destroy it before it can warp him away as well. "Laurelin, could I have a little help in here? Iomedae, please mend my wounds"

Looking at the spoilers in an OOC manner, I see the second 'ring' should be my kukri. Likewise OOC, I can update my stats accordingly, but it might be nice to actually know IC that my knife is magical.
Also, they're undead. i.e. immune to coup de grace. Mind you, we could still beat it to bone paste in less than a round, most likely, especially v. flat-footed AC.

Andros joins Tavius in pummeling the trapped skeleton, three empty fists and one deadly blade flashing in a rattling rhythm.

Is the last unfrozen crypt thing in the room (on the map) destroyed?

"Okay, everyone gather around, I guess. Tavius, any idea what these are?" Andros asks, holding out the breastplate and red ring(s)?, then hefts the glaive, "Also, does anyone need this? It's worse than nothing for me. All I need is the kukri (though do keep an eye out for three more). While I'm thinking about it, do we know where the others went?"

"Oh, thank Iomedae. I needed this." Andros gratefully straps the kukri to his back, after checking for magic on it. He likewise analyzes the ring for any auras, and scans the fallen undead as well. Should he detect any, he hands it to Tavius, who clearly knows a thing or two about magic.

Wait, the hound archon is still in combat? Eh, it'll die quickly anyway, or just have the duration expire. Also, clearly I'm super perceptive, because I forgot Andros was blinded last round when trying to read the papers.
I'm good with dropping initiative.

Andros, the immediate threat gone, takes a moment to look around the room, after he clears his eyes, particularly looking for weapons that work with his agility.

He also checks the desk quickly, looking at the papers.

Sorry, been busy. This is something of a rough time of year; which I did nor expect, so sorry for the delay. Hopefully back to regular checking in tomorrow. Also, just to clarify, Andros didn't attack last round; that was the hound archon (summoned as a swift action, so should be able to act in the surprise round?).

Okay.... Lots of actions. Move action to move into position as my 'surprise round' action, but my swift action is spent using my Quicken Blessing feat to summon a hound archon, who uses his action to swing a greatsword at the non-crypt thing. Phew. Lots of stuff. I'll find a hound archon icon and put it on the map.

"Wooaahh! Guys! Which way should we go?"

Andros peeks around the doorway, looking both directions.

"Ohhhh... Guys. Be careful! Oh, Iomedae, guide them, oh, Iomedae, help them." Andros touches each of the people working on the door, giving them a hint of divine inspiration.

Giving everyone trying to open the door guidance. A +1 never hurt anyone.

By the way, I just wanted to put in a note about my character. Tavius is a pompous ass know-it-all. He can definitely be annoying.

It's really hard to make sense motive checks on players over text, so please tell me if I lay it on too thick. I want to have some fun in-character conflict, but if the players aren't having fun, I'll adjust his behavior.

Given that this group is all over the alignment map I see a lot of potential for conflict. I've seen this go well and I've seen it go bad. OOC communication can help.

LOL. No problem here. I am maybe a little more concerned with the Drow's thought bubble calling me a slave. Not sure everyone even caught that. But that concern would only be in character and he did not say it. So maybe Druhir should be concerned but has not thought to be.

I have mixed emotions about posting thoughts that might be derogatory or inflammatory. Its a way to poke at people where there is no in game way to respond since it was only a thought. I "think" those thoughts are better left unshared in most cases.

On the other hand, it lets the rest of us know the 'starting attitude' of our allies, to show off their personality in lieu of the subtle cues that would clue you off in real life. We might not be able to read their mind, but little snide comments, a small sneer, and similar things not worthy of a post would key us in on their attitude in real life.

"Okay, so... I should be able to manage for now. Oh, Iomedae, please guide me, oh, Iomedae please protect me, oh, Iomedae..." As Andros chants, small brushes of divine light wash over him. After a few seconds, he stops distinctly chanting, but under his breath, it's possible to decipher his mantra, repeated over and over again,
"Iamonewiththeinheritorandsheiswithme. Iamonewiththeinheritorandsheiswithme..."

Casting Magic Vesments, and the mantra is representative of a 1/minute cast of resistance, if allowed. Basically, that should hold me with a +1 bonus to saves until we get a bit more gear.

"Ummm... So, I'm Andros, warrior of Iomedae, sworn enemy of the Technic League, etcetera etcetera. Has anyone seen any kukris around? Small curved blades, that is. Four would be ideal, but I'd settle for one."

If it is dark, Andros would have cast Light on his holy symbol as soon as he thought of it. That is, right after he stood up and patted himself down.
