Liberty's Edge

Hello I'm so sorry but I wanted to get this taken care of before it becomes an issue. I don't seem to have a lot of time on my hands this month and will back out for someone else to play. Thank you for invite and happy gaming everyone!

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia listens to the briefing.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 Darn, don't know anything.

"I think we might be able to bluff our way around perhaps as turncoats." She smiles at her fellow undine.

Liberty's Edge

Hello DeadlySecret here playing Amarsia Frostbite lvl 2 water elemental sorc.

Liberty's Edge

1d20 ⇒ 12

Thanks for the game!

Liberty's Edge

"Oh absolutely, adventuring, magic, knowledge! These are the things in life that make me happy. I bet they would make you happy as well. To discover history and get a better understanding of how everything works. I will give in the good word right away. I do hope you like to study as well."

Liberty's Edge

"I don't think we should destroy these. That is not for us to decide. Blackmail or not, these are truths. I also agree, I don't think they will be abused when put in the right hands." Amarsia states.

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia will move and cast a spell-like ability and send a ray at the creature.
Elemental Ray Ranged vs touch/firing into melee: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 2 - 4 = 6 20/x2
1d6 ⇒ 5 magic cold damage

Well shoot.....

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia moves and casts a spell-like ability at the incorporeal creature, she sends a cold ray at it.
Elemental Ray Ranged vs touch/firing into melee: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 2 - 4 = 2 20/x2
1d6 ⇒ 4 magic cold damage

Liberty's Edge

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 (+2 bonus vs. mind-affecting effects)

Liberty's Edge

It has to be an enemy drawing the weapon according to the line; Drawing a weapon, at the fascinated creature. Up to GM interpretation. But once it takes it's turn there's a high chance we will just get a re-save or it instantly breaks then.

Liberty's Edge

"Nox is correct, you did what you could or knew. The fact that you're still alive is a miracle. It is unfortunate that she could not have been saved." She looks to the others then to the spirit. "Is there something we can do to bring you at peace, other than letting you keep J?" She's clearly not familiar with dealing with the undead.

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia grows excited at the sight of magical items. She spends whatever time the party allows her by inspecting each one's magical properties. "This wand can protect a person from evil, however it's duration is only a minute. But still a good thing to have around, especially in this place. I don't know how evil it is, but I would rather not take my chances. We should put this on J if we get in a tight spot."

Liberty's Edge

Haunts are an experience/puzzle. But yeah they can be dealt easily with the right items. Rise of the Runelords has a good lesson on that.

Liberty's Edge

"Yes what did happen?" Amarsia is curious as well. "Maybe we will learn more with the other one J is referring to."

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia watches with interest. She has no experience with haunts and isn't sure what's going to happen.

Liberty's Edge

"History is important and so is our futures." Amarsia moves on.

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia stops to take a moment in silence. "An old classroom? What subjects did you learn in there?" She gestures that she will follow along.

Liberty's Edge

"I don't think destroying these are wise. I am not sure what to do with them just yet but taking them with us for certain."

Sorry been on vacation, should be on track tomorrow.

Liberty's Edge

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

"Hello, my name is Amarsia. I assure you we are not here to garden. This young lady here would like to get closer to the statue if you don't mind. If you let us be, we will be on our way with no harm to your garden and associates."

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia casts detect magic and scans the area.

If magic is detected:
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 to know the aura's school.

Liberty's Edge

"Such horrifying creature, can just make you ill by a scream." Amarsia rubs her belly and takes a deep breath. "Are you ok J? Shall we proceed?"

Liberty's Edge

Quote:

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 (+2 bonus vs. mind-affecting effects)

Amarsia is nauseated for 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds.

Amarsia will move away from the creature as she tries to hold her stomach in.

Liberty's Edge

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 (+2 bonus vs. mind-affecting effects)

Amarsia is nauseated for 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds.

Liberty's Edge

"Now listen here, you don't get to bully us around so I suggest you back off before you get hurt." Amarsia suggests calmly but bluntly.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 To demoralize him.

Liberty's Edge

"What kind of research are you doing? I don't just help without a cause." Amarsia asks Pip.

Liberty's Edge

Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Amarsia nods at Pip, then does a doubletake and looks closer at it. "Um hello there, I'm Amarsia. Pleasure to meet you." She then looks over to J.

Liberty's Edge

"I don't know much about spirits. But if you trust it and it has done you no harm, then I say embrace the magic."

Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Liberty's Edge

"That is indeed a noble cause. However, as you see people don't take too kindly to your presence. Maybe we should hurry along then talk when we arrive. I would hate to have another episode like that with the locals."

Liberty's Edge

I am from Varisia. I spent most of my younger days with the family. Most of them are fishermen, so I got to see the sea a lot." She coughs, "Don't go out there. Most recently I just came from Oppara where the society thought it would be a good idea to put me in a Library. We learned my talents suit other things." She has a slight frown upon her face.

Liberty's Edge

"I am not, they usually call upon me because they need raw magic. Sometimes I can be persuasive too." She smiles. "But I did hear that holy water is great when dealing with death."

Liberty's Edge

Since we are at the market, Amarsia will pick up one more vial of holy water just in case.

Liberty's Edge

"Hello, I'm Amarsia. Yes I am ready when you are." She looks at the party making sure they are ready to head out. Then she will follow along, taking in the last breaths of the sea and storm.

Liberty's Edge

"What do you mean by unnatural obsessions?"

Liberty's Edge

"I will be more than happy to assist a survivor. I wonder why she wants to return if it's full of haunts and undead, or was at least. Either way, I am sure she will tell us what she is looking for when we get there. Maybe we will discover things along the way." Amarsia nod in agreement to assist on the mission.

Liberty's Edge

An undine woman approaches the group, she seems to be enjoying the scent of the sea. "Hello everyone. I am Amarsia. I just traveled here from Oppara to join you in this mission." She is not wearing any armor, but she is wearing explorers gear. The only weapon you see is a dagger sheathed at her side. Though some would seem gloomy on such a day, she seems uplifted by the weather.

Hello everyone. Glad to be here.

Liberty's Edge

1d20 ⇒ 2 Oh darn :) That was fun. Thanks for the scenario.

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia will do a diplomacy as technically she isn't lying.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Liberty's Edge

"Yes, we are coming. Just finishing up now, so sorry." Amarsia stands up walking towards Tobias

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia will listen to see if anyone is on other side of secret door.

perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

Liberty's Edge

"I can hear the Taldan March!" She looks over at her allies as she expresses that it's time.

Liberty's Edge

"Our illusions should still be up there I believe. Is there another way we may be able to sneak out? Like a back door?"

Liberty's Edge

Amarisa sheds a small tear over the Lion's excitement and she is completely fascinated by the sheer magic. That was fantastic! Oh my gosh the adventures you're going to get to take. I am really excited for you. She turns back to look over her shoulder towards the room Iliyana is in. But snaps back and smiles for the Lion.

Liberty's Edge

Yeah that kind of bothers Amarsia. But not sure what she can do about it at this stage of her low level life.

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia hurries with her allies to the lion. "This went well. Sorry I wasn't much help but this has inspired me to work on my research skills."

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia will follow. She isn't exactly a trap finder but she will keep her senses keen and observe.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Liberty's Edge

"Absolutely, here." She hands the documents over. I think it would be good idea to check those rooms as well.

Liberty's Edge

Unfortunately Amarsia is only able to do perception.

"Hello again Solemnia." Amarsia holds out some papers. "You might find these of interest. We didn't really find much else in the other room but there was a cabinet with transmutation magic in it. It was locked and we didn't feel the need to break into it. What do you got here?" She looks around the room.

Perception to aid in the search.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Liberty's Edge

I think Amarsia and Alric are satisfied with what we found and will rejoin the group unless someone calls out for assistance elsewhere.

"Yeah let's go and see if they are interested in this magic." She grabs the loose papers and heads out of the room.

Liberty's Edge

Amarsia finds these documents interesting and shares them with Alrik. She makes a mental note of both of them. She has no interest in breaking into things but She certainly will mention it.

"Alrik was it? I detect magic in the cabinet but I am not sure it's important to our mission. Maybe the others want to check it out. These keys don't seem to unlock it. However, these documents do seem useful for the society's knowledge."
