I'd like the Ghoran (or some sort of plant based race), as well as a crustacean race, some exotic near-human alien races, and something along the lines of Predator or the Trandoshans, some sort of race/culture that hunts dangerous prey/game for sport and glory.

Given the description, It should probably be a ranger archetype :

¤ Change Favored Terrains to give only scaling bonus for deserts (like the Wave Warden)
¤ Give him access to the animal companion (hunter's bond) at lower levels. In exchange debuff or remove favored enemy.
¤ Replace track by a riding or handling bonus
¤ The hunter must select the Mounted Combat Style.

A variant of the Animal Speaker might work :

¤ Animal Friend limited to insect/swarms
¤ Nature’s Speaker with the same limitation
¤ Attract Rats is replaced with a similar ability that summon insect swarms instead for rat swarms.
¤ Instead of Summon Nature's Ally V and VI, the bard learns Insect Plague and Swarm Skin 1. He still learns Summon Nature's I, II, III and IV, but can only summon vermins.

Something similar to the Stygian Slayer could work. I didn't give a swarm form power (which doesn't exist afaik) and gave a modified swarm skin instead :

¤ At first level, the slayer gains wild empathy as the druid ability, but which work only with vermins. This replaces Track.
¤ At 4th level, the slayer can cast summon swarm once per day using his slayer level as his caster level. The slayer uses his Intelligence modifier for concentration checks when using this ability. The slayer can use this an additional time per day at 8th level and every 4 levels thereafter. This ability replaces the slayer talent gained at 4th level.
¤ At 10th level, a slayer can transform into an swarm of insects that he controls. This functions as...

These are brilliant! I love these. And sorry about swarm form (was trying to go by memory and was thinking of swarm skin).

Thanks for this, BTW. I really appreciate this.

OK so this may sound weird, but I really like beetles. I had some ideas for beetle related archetypes, but don't know how to approach them. My ideas are:

The Scarab Rider: A cavalier that rides giant beetles, gains favored terrain bonuses in deserts, and has minor spellcasting abilities.

The Beetle Bard: A bard specializing in vermin and who has a thirst for knowledge (maybe being able to gain a temporary bonus to knowledge skill checks somehow).

The Swarm Slayer: a slayer with wild empathy to vermin and the ability to cast summon swarm and swarm form.

Any ideas on how to approach these? If anyone wants to take a stab at doing it yourself, go ahead, it would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome. Keep em coming.

Interesting. For me personally, my animal form would be an orangutan, as would my animal companion. We would live simple lives tending to and protecting nature. I considered some sort of bird so I could fly, but ultimately decided on the orangutan.

This is cool. I like seeing people's responses. Keep 'em coming. :)

Imagine you live in a fantastical world where druids in a pathfinder sense were real. Imagine you were a druid. Now imagine if your wild shape was limited to one specific animal and you could have one animal companion. The questions I ask of you are what is your animal form and what is your animal companion. Those are the only two rules. Don't let other pathfinder mechanics or druid rules get in the way of your creativity. This is just a completely random question, BTW. I am just curious as to what responses I might get.

Grand Lodge

So I was looking at spells and saw one called summon elder worm. It is a 9th level druid spell that summons a purple worm. My first thought was "That's awesome!" Has anyone chosen this spell with their character. Is it practical or not that good? Is it awesome or not that cool?

BTW, the spell is from ultimate magic.

Good luck to your son though. I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to trade. He is very lucky.

That would be great news but, alas, I have no boons to trade.

Grand Lodge

If anyone hears of a grippli boon in the future, will you let me know?

I knew they weren't common, didn't know they were so rare though.

Two things for you Paz (if you dont mind):

1. I find am not the most skilled GM. Do gm slots get taken up quickly? Also is there a way to get boons without GMing?

2.Thanks for letting me know about the coordinators near me.

And finally. If anyone has an unwanted oread let me know (can't blame a guy for tryin').

Grand Lodge

No one happens to have a spare or unwanted rebuild boon that they would be wiling to part with, do they?

I am new to pathfinder society and was disappointed that grippli was not playable. I don't have any boons to give away myself since, like I stated, I am new. If anyone is willing to part with this boon (or an oread, just sayin') it would make my day.

(I also live in germany, so I can't go to conventions, and I can't play very often due to time differences)

Sorry if anyone feels I am guilt-tripping you, that is not my intention. Rather I am just explaining my situation to eliminate people leaving comments such as "just go to a convention" or "Go get some boons and people will want to trade". I know this, I am just testing my luck.

And finally if anyone lives in the Stuttgart, Germany area, then please let me know, so that maybe we can play some pfs.

Grand Lodge

I'm not looking to trade, just wanting to hear about your goblin pc's from those few who have one.

But don't feel restricted if you don't have a goblin. Show of ANY race boon. I would love to get to know some of the pathfinder society's members of some more...exotic races.

(post in character or out of character, just as long as you give your name, class, race, and (if you feel like) it a back story (though back-stories would be highly appreciated, and I will read everything posted here, so, yeah)).

And if you have a wayang, kitsune, or nagaji, you still have some time to post here.

Grand Lodge

I have an elven druid from Mwangi. He is a saurian shaman archetype so he has a triceratops companion. His backstory is he was the son of two elven archeologists who ran away to live with the dinosaurs when he was youngish while his parents were in mwangi. He believes dinosaurs to be beings of immense power. He is savage, acts a bit like tarzan, and has some orc blood in him (I plan to eventually mutliclass as an orc blooded sorcerer.

Grand Lodge

What are some characters (of the above categories) do you have ideas for and would love to play. I'll go first.

1. a gnome who worships Zyphus, is a mortician by trade and cleric by class (who never heals people), was raised by hags in a swamp, hates fey, and is grumpy as heck.

and

2. A kitsune (once they're available) who is a first worlder summoner who summons a little fey bunny thing, values beauty over all else (and envies the natural beauty of the fey), will multiclass as a lotus geisha bard, and is a total fem fatale.

I would love to see some others.

Grand Lodge

I have a gnome who is neutral, worships an evil god, and he is a mortician and a gravedigger. He studies undead anatomy (which is both part of his job and a bit of a hobby). Is that wrong?

Grand Lodge

Does a druids animal companion come war trained.
If not is it possible to war train it.
If so how?

Amani lets out a deep, low, growl like a jungle cat at Flutter's insult.

"Jumbo be dead if me no save him. Me kill hungry raptor when me first meet Jumbo. Me save Jumbo life. Jumbo is brother."

He turns to Jumbo and rubs his face just above his beak.

"Go eat the grass of this city. I come get you later."

Turning back to Flutter, Amani looks at her with a stern face and a look in his eyes that seems could tear through you and see your soul. He says sternly,"You be careful. If Jumbo get hurt you will feel the wrath of Amani, you will fear what come from Jungle. You will fear Mwangi. You fear me. Me no want to hurt you. Jumbo like you, so I like you. But beware."

He then resumes eating his meat.

Jumbo then trots over to the door and, turning to look at Flutter, wags his tail.

Grand Lodge

"This Jumbo's first time in city. Jumbo Cautious, so Jumbo no want eat."
Amani said in defense.

Jumbo downs the potted plant. Then he burps. His tail begins to wag, but realizing this he stops and resumes his vigil.

"Jumbo likes you. You lucky."

Grand Lodge

"Me and Jumbo want go to Mwangi. Mwangi home. Me and Jumbo help Pathfinder in Mwangi." -Amani Zultiras

"Aaaarrrrroooo!" -Jumbo the Triceratops

Grand Lodge

Jumbo belches loudly, his vigil unwavering.

Amani thinks for a moment trying to remember what herbivore means. Coming to a conclusion he says "Jumbo not eat in three days. No eat not good for Jumbo. Jumbo happy to eat. Even meat. Meat makes Jumbo strong." Amani then takes a bite of meat.

He turns to the Ulfen. "Jumbo no gore you? Strange. Jumbo must think you worthy. If Jumbo think you worthy, Me think you worthy."

He then gives jumbo a hearty but friendly pat on the side, rubs him from ribs to crest, then picks off a beetle and eats it.

Jumbo burps again.

Grand Lodge

The elf tosses a hunk of meat to the triceratops who digs in.

"We from Mwangi. Wilds is home. You be from wilds so Amani wish you strength and life" the elf says looking Petros in the eyes.

As soon as Jumbo finishes his meal he resumes his vigil.

I think wayangs, Kitsunes and Nagaji all become available when the season 6 guide comes out, just before Gencon. Also for your teifling, if you can get into a game before the guide comes and get 1 xp you can keep it even after the guide makes the race unavailable.

So I just have to create a tiefling character and play a game with it and I can keep it?

Grand Lodge

A wild looking male elf with crude hide armor, deeply tanned skin, and wild dirty red hair walks in the front door. Trotting behind him is an emerald colored triceratops.

"ugh" he grunts and goes and sits down on the floor by the fire.

Jumbo the Triceratops stands next to standing guard. Jumbo's stomach roars.

"Me just get here. Jumbo is hungry. Jumbo eat?"
The elf speaks with a deep voice and an elven accent, but his common is spoken poorly.

Jumbo's Stomach growls even louder.

Grand Lodge

I'm just testing my luck, so no negative comments please.

Grand Lodge

is anyone willing to give away a race boon?

also when does wayang become available for use without a race boon?

My most desired races are

1. Skinwalker (skinwalker boons exist, right?)
2. Oread
3. Tiefling
4. Wayang (depending on how long until they become available)

I will accept anything people are willing to give away (even wayang, Kitsune, and Nagaji).

Hey a guy's gotta try, right?

I really love the Mists of Mwangi scenario. My main guy (as well as my brother's main) live in the Mwangi Expanse.

You do not have to start with the current season. Also there is no requirement to run scenarios in order, though some of them follow a story arc (Shadow Lodge, Hao Jin Tapestry, Runelords, Sky Citadel, Worldwound, etc.) and will make more sense to players if there is less jumping around in time. Scenarios that have multiple parts, such as Destiny of the Sands, should be run in order; some such scenarios give boons but only if run in order.

Ok 2 more question:

is starting with Mists of Mwangi (0-5) okay?

could you give an example of a scenario that gives boons only if done in order?

Grand Lodge

Is the Stuttgart PFS still active?

If so where can I find more information?
