Althru stumbles to one knee as the spear wounds him greatly, he is already feeling light headed from the wound. But knowing he must continue to fight on, even if he must perish he strikes his club out at the already wounded lizardman advancing on Mishtes.

Club: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

But with so much blood loss already, he stumbles as his swing goes wide.


Althru brandishes his club, not looking forward to the ensuing battle but tries to raise the moral of everyone. "PREPARE YOURSELF EVERYONE. WE HAVE THIS. AS SEEN BY YULOK AND ZENBAQ, THEY GO DOWN EASY."


lol... Yulok and your natural 20s. Don't forget to roll Crit confirm/damage.


Althru uses this time to find something to use as a club to fight off the lizardmen.


A little bit of fear shows on Althru's face as the strain is showing on his face but he keeps his cool in face of this new threat. "Don't let them board. Man the side of the ship and attack them as they try to get up."

As he says that he goes to grab a barrel of oil and a lamp. He bashes opening on the barrel before throwing it out into the sea in the direction of the lizardmen. While they are swimming toward the ship, he will prepare the lamp and throw it toward the spilling oil right when the lizardmen start to reach it.

Throw (just the general area of the oil): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Just in case he misses (probably with that roll), he yells out. "Someone else also throw a lit lamp into the spilled oil."


Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Not bad. But Althru is not built for combat yet. :(


Responds to Mishtes without looking up from those he is treating wounds, "Yes. It seems to be one trial after another. Could the sea gods be playing a prank on us, I wonder."


With the threat of the jellyfish over, Althru moves to Kit'Arr to look at her wounds. Seeing the signs of poison, Althru begins to work to counter the poison running through her system.

Heal | Treat Poison | DC?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19


I understand how that is. I went back to school after several years absence as well in 2006.

Althru is momentarily infuses with a bright bluish light that makes everyone feel warm and secure before the light fades.

Cast Bless: Everyone gets +1 Attack;+1 vs Fear for 10 rounds.


Unsure if you meant a total of 3 Reflex saves for the party or 3 Reflex saves per PC. So will roll 3 Reflex saves.

Reflex Save (DC 10): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Althru directs one of the crew members to take the elves and dwarves to a cabin below deck.

"You are safe now. We ran into the same storm, but managed to lure the lightning away. This crewmember will lead you to a cabin as we make way toward land."


I'll take the Dwarf. Hmm... his name shall be Durap Nibbles.

"Thank for the enchanted pickles Durap. They will come in handy."

Althru looks at Zenabiq, "Go ahead and eat one Zenabiq, you are still hurt and the pickle should help some." He looks at any others that might be hurt. "The rest of you that are hurt, take one as well."


Althru hands over a mug of water to each of them. "Drink it slowly. If you drink it too fast it will only make you sick which will make you more dehydrated."

"We ran into such a storm too. Not sure what it was, but you are safe now."


Althru directs the crewmembers (NPCs) to pull the four up, directs another group to get some drinking water, while he prepares to administer first aid.

Unfortunately until we get our 'classes' Althru's healing spell is already used and must rely on his Heal skill.


Athru raises his hand to block out the sun as he looks more intently at the shipwrecked off in the distance.

"It is our duty to pick up shipwrecked individuals. We need to set coarse to pick them up."

Unfortunately every AP I have joined has fallen apart. Usually in the first month.


Having the Profession (Sailor) would probably be more beneficial for navigator. It could probably work best to have both of you work together. With the better Perception, Yulok could take the Crow's Nest position while Zenabiq takes the Steering position.

Considering the party size, it might be best to do dual roles for Crew Positions.


Althru would definitely fall under Magical Support.


The whale out of the way, Althru reaches down and starts to bandage up Zenqbiq wounds before taking the ship's steering and trying to steer it away from any danger.

Heal: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Zenqbiq is healed 1 HP.

Steering?: 1d20 ⇒ 7


Cold Blast (Range Touch): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14;Cold Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Althru sends another Blast of Cold Energy toward the monster. "Take this!"


Althru continues to shield Zenqbiq.


Spotting Zenqbiq dropping he heads toward her. "I am going to secure Zenqbiq and look at her wounds. One of you use the harpoon on the whale."

Pulling the rope tied to his waist along, he heads over to Zenqbiq. Checking her pulse and seeing she is stable, he unties the rope from his waist, coils it around her before tying it around his waist again.


And idea pops into Althru's head. "If we can locate a harpoon and tie a metal rod to it, maybe we can land a hit and draw the lightning to the undead whale."

Althru tries to think where they might keep harpoons on the ship.


Althru shakes his head, but realizes no one could probably focus enough on him to see that in this storm. "Unless you have a specially designed weapon, the projectiles of normal weapon would be slowed to much to do any damage once it hits the water."

Figured Althru would know that since he is an Undine. Once saw an episode of Myth Busters where they fired a 50 cal. rifle designed to be used on tanks into a pool. When the round hit the water it shattered into several pieces and they proved you could be just a couple of feet underwater to avoid being hit.


Althru face turns a light blue (white) as he turns to shout toward the others, "We are in trouble. There is an undead whale beneath the ship. I don't suppose any of you have an idea on how to fight it?"


Althru wraps and ties a rope around his waist, making sure the other side is secure to a stable source before moving to the side of the ship and looking for the source of the strange current that seems to be pulling the ship.


Reflex Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

With the waves hitting the ship repeatedly with such force, Althru stumbles as he tries to keep his balance.


Looking a the dangerous looking glow coming from the sea, "I think it would be wise to steer the ship away from that glow. But I have a horrible feeling in my gut that it might start chasing us."


"This is only going to get worse, I suggest only vital members of the crew stay topside. The rest go below deck for shelter."

Obviously Althru will stay above deck, but doesn't know if the crew can take much more than this before panicking from this unnatural storm.


Althru jumps from the sudden lightning strike, looking around to see if anyone is hurt. Upon spotting the Captain's chard body, he rushes over to check his pulse but lowers his head in sadness. Not letting the lost of their Captain from preventing him from doing his duty, he looks for more injured when he spots Yulok's injured body. He rushes over and checks him, seeing that he is on death's doorstep he begins to chant over him as he sees to his wounds.

CLW on Yulok: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Althru heads over to Kit'Arr and looks at their wounds before he begins to bandage them up.

Heal (DC 20): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

@ "The Lucky Halfling", you might want to make your post regarding posting and stuff in the Discussion Thread instead of Recruitment Thread. Just some advice.


Understanding why some might be shaken with the lightning striking so close and especially of the strange phenomenon off in the distance.

"Everyone stay calm. Panicking won't solve anything and will just get yourself hurt." He directs his plea towards the crew that are panicking.


If I remember correctly, to lazy to look :P, but when we take a PC class, we will have a lot of healing potential.


Got my character Profile up.


Althru appears on deck, raising his chin up a little bit. "Ah.. can feel the moister in the air. If any of you start feeling sick during the storm, come to me and I'll see if I can give you something to help the sickness."

The tall, turquoise-skinned healer looks off into the horizon at the approaching storm. "I imagine I'll be busy treating people during and after the storm."
