Skyseer: Having been raised with the teachings of the Skyseers, you have access to various abilities
relating to heavenly guidance.
Benefit: Immediately prior to a period of extended rest (8 hours minimum) during which the night sky is visible, you may focus your mind on the future and receive a prophetic dream regarding one question. Upon completion of your rest you awaken with insights into the future as though you had cast an augury spell and received a
meaningful reply.
In addition, once every combat you may touch an ally and give them insight into future actions. The touched ally chooses one of the following; Attack Roll, Saving Throw, Skill Check or Concentration Check, and then rolls a d20. The next time the ally would roll for the selected action, they may use the previously rolled result
or opt to make a new roll. Other abilities that allow re-rolls may not be used in conjunction with this ability. If the action would have multiple rolls (such as iterative attacks), only the first roll is replaced

background:

1. How long have you been on the force? (FYI the RNC is 30 years old. You start off at the bottom of the seniority list, so if you are a veteran, why haven't you advanced?)

Alsah is a new recruit, on her first assignment

2. What prompted the RNC to recruit you, or, if you applied, why did they accept your application?

Alsah has just moved to flint and was looking for a job when she saw that the RNC was recruiting. She applied and demonstrated useful abilities and a fresh outlook that impressed her examiners. Being able to see in the dark certainly helped

3. Why did you accept/apply? (Note: Candidates submit to extensive magical mind-reading before they are accepted. The RNC has never been infiltrated by a spy, so no double agents allowed. Your loyalty to Risur is beyond reproach.)

Alsah believes It is fate that she joins the RNC. She genuinely wants to do a good job and is loyal to the kingdom. She moved to the city from the isles to escape her mother, an evil witch. The RNC is a break from her past.

4. Brief character sketch. (You can even just describe your character in terms of other fictional characters, or just in terms of your ability score descriptions.)

Alsah has a sunny disposition, is extremely smart, and has a dark side she tries to suppress. This dark side emerges when she is angry, making her intimidating. She is afraid her mother is seeking her but has decided to make a stand and run her own life. She experienced the war as a child and has mixed views on it. She hated the violence and destruction, but the war enabled her to escape the clutches of her mother. She has wandered Risiur, and has a great affection for the place. A chance meeting with some druids leads her to the study of the stars, and how the planets influence the world. So she became a skyseer

contacts:
Mother Alice (druid) guided her into becoming a skyseer. A somewhat crotchety lady, with a good heart. Dislikes technology
Agatha the herbalist (maybe witch, Alsah is not sure) Alsah found her in the market and struck up an odd friendship after she helped her with some stolen items being returned. She knows alchemy (but is not an alchemist)

Roger the quickling. Not actually a quickling. A scamp (likely a rogue) has helped her from time to time. Somewhat mercenary, she has sometimes healed him after misadventures. Alsah is more like his contact, sometimes. He does owe a favour.
