Well, you know, dear, it's all those hormones clouding their judgment.;)

And no, I'm not really sure how they survive to adulthood either...why did we think a houseful of teenagers was a good idea again? :)

"No thanks, love. I think I've had enough to drink for one night. I'll just wait for you upstairs. Don't be too long," she added, grinning.

meanwhile, outside the wine cellar.....

"Oh, goodness, I'm absolutely worn out. But in a good way." She yawned. "I think the account books will have to wait, love. Is there anything else that needs tending to before we head upstairs? I'm fairly certain I have a pressing appointment with a feather mattress," she added, grinning.

Devlyn shakes his head and laughs.

"Well, you are such a fragile thing, love - you really must take better care of yourself," he gently teases.

"But it's totally up to you. Tonight is a special night, and I can take care of things when we get back if you want to sleep in. Either way, it's covered." ;D

She laughed outright at the thought of herself as a fragile thing.

"You do know how to turn a phrase, my dear. But I think that we've had our fun and we should get back home before one of us turns into a pumpkin," she said with a mischievous wink.

"Oh, they never close the omniportal, Irv. But sometimes there are lulls between parties. Times to go home, get changed, nurse a hangover, before the whole thing starts all over again." :)

Making sure to find an out-of-the-way table, Devlyn orders some dinner for everyone, and they enjoy a nice meal and some drinks.

"I think she really likes it here," he says with a smile as Danae wheels her way around the opposite side of the club grounds.

"But I suppose it is getting late, and we do need to be able to get some work done before we open the shop tomorrow..."

"Yes, she does seem to be fitting right in. And you're right, of course. A wine shop doesn't run itself, and I'm not as young as I used to be. I do need to indulge in some sleep occasionally," she added with a chuckle.

"There's a cabana over that way where you can get changed," she added, smiling.

"A teenage girl with dark hair and a full set of lockpicks," she answered drily.

"Well," Devlyn sighs quietly as he looks at Allura and taps his nose, "I guess Danae's already looking into 'employment opportunities' here at the Club..." :)

She sighed. "Ah, the joys of trying to raise a pickpocket/escape artist. I suppose we should intervene before she ends up in trouble again..."

"I'm not sure that he hasn't already. I mean, LK has been following Arielle around like a lovesick puppy for years." ;)

"Only if we could find her a job that had plenty of excitement to keep...her...occupied,"as Devlyn looks around the Club.

"Cayden's Mug - you're brilliant, love."

"I know," she said, smugly.

"I'll talk to Alaina about it when she has a free moment. She looks awfully busy just now."

She sighed. "It would be nice to go for a whole week put together without having to explain to yet another constable why our foster daughter continues to steal even though she doesn't need to anymore," she said wistfully.

"And we don't want to get too respectable, or we'll lose our street cred at the Bazaar and with our 'strays'," he replies, looking thoughtful. "A precarious balancing act indeed..."

He shrugs.

"Ah well....as long as we have a crazy amount of fun trying, I think we're fine!" :D

He rolls his eyes as he takes a drink - but still nods. ;P

"Guilty as charged. And lousy at minding my own business. And letting other people take care of their own problems. And generally staying out of 'trouble'..." he laughs, counting off his other offenses on his free hand.

"I know - I'm just a filthy hot mess. Lucky for me I've got you to keep me all respectable and such," he says with a playful wink. :)

"I'm not precisely sure how," he says to Allura as he picks up the bottle, "but Alaina's already gotten her hands on some of our humble product. Kind of flattering, that..." ;)

"Sorry for the delay, but our latest stray was causing trouble again. All better now, and I'm finding that this place being back is bringing back all sorts of memories....I wonder if all the secluded spots are just the same," she said, eyes twinkling with mischief as they danced.

"Ahh - well I guess it wouldn't be a normal day without that, would it?" Devlyn replies with a chuckle, then looks thoughtful as he gives Allura a quick twirl around.

As Oroth examines Solmyr to notices a particular stain along the center of his back.

Oroth glances over his shoulder as the snake leaves and Tristan gives chase, Lk not far behind. He looks at Arielle, Aidan, Devlyn, and Allura.

"Go after them! I can handle whatever's wrong with Solmyr!"

Turning back to the downed mage, Oroth goes through his spells to try and figure out what the stain is before he touches it, in case it could spread.

Spells used: Detect Magic and Detect Poison.
Spell-Like Abilities used: Detect Evil, Detect Law, and Detect Thoughts.

"Solmyr, if you can hear me, I need to know what that snake was and what this stain on your back is before I try and treat it. Just think about what you can tell me and I'll hear you."

Solmyr has too many enchantments for detect magic to be effective, however the ectoplasm(?) radiates evil and chaos enough to make Oroth avert his gaze. It appears poisonous too, but nothing derived on the Prime Material Plane. His goes for Allura too. If she has the appropriate knowledge skills or psionic powers she deduces that it is some sort of neuro-toxin, possibly derived from his plane. She is close enough to here Solmyr's plea.

He replies in stressed and weak voice. "Can't feel...., hands.... My Pouch...., Potion.., Hurry..." His hands look limp and tremble feverishly.

Allura quickly rifles through Solmyr's pouch looking for potion bottles. If there's more than one she'll just give him all of them as there isn't time to identify anything.

Allura uses what healing abilities she has to assist Oroth in helping Solmyr.

Okay, is Allura still with the group? I planning on posting the next turn tomorrow afternoon. I think LK needs a magic weapon too.

I also had my corporate party today. I can't believe I won. I am now the proud owner of a new Panasonic 32" flat screen television. I haven't had a new TV in almost 12 years. I can't wait to break open the box and power it up.

grats on the new tv, BP. :)

And yes, Allura is still with the group.

I'm not sure I follow you, Solmyr. What do these demons have to do with Zhalail? Or with Tristan?

Sorry. Spent the weekend trying to get ready for a family member's wedding at the end of the month, and was getting reminded at every turn why I hate all of the drama involved with them...

Sorry if that last post sounds a bit testy. If you could actually hear the tone I'm saying it in, you'd know that it wasn't meant that way. I really am genuinely confused. We seem to be going over the same stuff again and again and I was hoping to get the plot moving forward again instead. So any hints would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is confused. You're asking the rest of us? BTW, I'm pretty much just going to give a generic 'and I tell you what happens' if you are. We've already recapped this stuff twice. Including Allura and Devlyn giving their full recap of events just a few minutes ago in game time. And yes, it was stated generically then too. So, you know, feel free to move forward from there. We're pretty much waiting for you to tell us what you want us to do next. Are we supposed to go confront the bad guys, help Tristan master his powers, go questing for a particular whatsit that we need to defeat the bad guys, etc ? This is your plot, so you need to give us some direction on which direction you're going with it.
