"I didn't make you promise anything.. yet." He says as he rubs his aching jaw. "Besides, if I haven't made you promise yet, you've been keeping a secret for nothing."

"You're cute when you get mad. But I think, for the safety of me and everyone else(but mainly me), you need to cool down..."

He flips over on to his stomach, shifts into a wolf, and breaks off in a run with Arielle. To distracted trying to hold on, she doesn't see his destination until it's too late and their already entering the the "down" part of a jump. Their destination: the deep end of the pool.

She stayed underwater just a little longer than necessary, enjoying the quiet for a moment. Then she surfaced and scowled at LK.

"Okay, that logic was beyond circular. And just so we're clear, aside from that one trip, you promised me no more time travel. It makes my head hurt. And just because you haven't asked me yet in your timeline doesn't mean you haven't asked me yet. And this is why I made you promise no more time travel!"

"Hmph! Boys are impossible. Silly me thinking you'd actually grown up a little."

She climbed up the ladder along the side, the water flicking off of her as she did so that she was totally dry by the time she got out. She stalked off.

"Ah, don't be mad! I'm a canine remember? I go in circles for fun!"

"I thought you were too old for temper-tantrums!" He shouts after as she leaves. He lays back in the water and floats on his back, wondering if this day could get any better.

Arielle sits at the bar and picks up a Dark and Stormy. She looks at it, and then looks up, frowning.

"How many of these do you think I have to drink before my boyfriend stops seeming like an idiot?"

"Now that depends.." Says the brown haired guy sitting next to her. "Has yours ever built a pyre for dolls?"

"Hey!" The blond guy says as he punches the brunette. "Kam, seriously, do you have to bring that up every time?"

"Yes. Yes I do."

The blond leans forward to look at Arielle.

"If the drinks affected me at all, I'd join you."

She laughed. "I don't think he ever built a pyre for dolls. At least he hasn't since I've known him. Which is a long time now."

"And I know what you mean about the drinks," she said wrinkling her nose. "My dad is sometimes an alcohol fueled golem and I seem to have inherited some of his constitution. I've been at it all night and still no real effect."

"I'm Arielle. Nice to meet you, Kam and....er, ....you."

"You can call me Taron."

"This is a nice club, great for a day like today. It's nice to just let go sometimes, you know? I'm glad I got.. persuaded to have this little vacation."

In slightly related news.. Hi Mother, Father! Guess who got roped into playing hooky?

Just don't go blowing the place up. Again. The cleanup is always such a chore. ;)

"Hi, Taron. Nice to meet you."

"Yeah, this is a nice place. My parents used to come here. A long time ago. Before me. I'd only heard about it before tonight. It's only been back for a few hours. Not really sure how that happened since it got blown up a couple of times. But it's here now, so might as well enjoy it."

"My boyfriend, Canis, is the really irritating werewolf currently swimming fully clothed in the pool."

"That guy over there is Keehaar. He's an old friend. Really nice guy. I hope you get a chance to talk with him some."

"I'd introduce you to Devlyn and Allura, but they seem to have wandered off for some alone time."

"And the lady over there with the fiery hair is Alaina. She's the one in charge of this place."

"Oh, and the golem running the DJ booth is my uncle Malice."

Aanandareavekki wrote:

Hey, this place comes back all on it's own! It's like it was made for our family!

"Hey Kam, we may have just found a group of people weirder than ours. My Mother's a tech-head, yours is.. yours, but at least you don't swim fully clothed. The closest thing I've got in common with here is my Uncle's metal arm."

"No offense Arielle. If you want I can dunk the wolf boy from here."

She laughed. "No offense taken. Trust me, you haven't even started to get to the strange around here. And tempted as I am by your offer, don't bother. He's way too used to it. Water, wind, electricity....none of that stuff bothers him anymore. Of course, that's mostly good. I'd hate to have to be careful around him all the time....er, you're not particularly prone to damage from electricity are you? It's usually good to know that stuff before I end up with unintentional collateral damage...as in don't touch the hammer if you are cause it's ummmm......well, it's got a real affinity with lightning. And thunder. So, you know, be careful around it, 'kay?"

She downed a drink and made a face. "Eeewww. Whiskey. I have got to stop picking up whatever glass is handy. I really prefer sweeter stuff." She washed the unpleasant taste down with a couple of dark and stormies. "That's better."

Arielle wrote:

Kam returns her smile.

"I doubt I have much to worry about from your hammer then. The Storm is in my blood, literally."

To demonstrate, he holds up a hand and shows Arielle the black lightning that dances along his fingertips.

"Not my choice of course, but environments at an early age tend to have adverse effects."

Edit: Alias made!

"Oh! I've never met anyone else like me before! Although mine isn't from being exposed to weird environments. I mean, not that I haven't been. Traveling Yggdrasil with my parents I got to see lots of strange places. But I've always been a storm elemental." She shrugged. "My mom is part elemental, part angel, and I take after the elemental side."

Arielle wrote:

"I agree with that!" LK calls from the pool, now playing with the water puppies again.

"Part angel, huh? I think the only thing we have in common then is the Storm and our tolerance for drink. Which reminds me.. Taron?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Well, it's not like ancestry matters all that much. It's what you do with it that counts, right?"

Kamenwati wrote:

"The straps, right? I've told you before you can get them on your own just fine."

Despite this, he reaches for Kam's side and flicks something, moving out of the way as bat-like wings extend out of near invisible slits in the shirt.

"Nice to get your wings out, isn't it?"

"Where I come from.. ancestry can matter a lot. Taron here would be hunted down because of his bloodline for example, and I'd have people brandishing holy water and religious symbols at me. I keep an illusion up almost all the time so I can walk around safely." He pauses for a moment. "Except from fans, I'd need to look like someone else to be ignored by them.."

"Huh. You can actually strap those down? Mom can't, but hers are feathered. They don't really fold up much. That's got to be convenient being able to do that."

"Weird. Well, I think people are a little more inured to the unusual around here. That ape over there? Works for a demon lord. As long as he doesn't make trouble, nobody bothers about him."

Arielle wrote:

"Easier to hide them when they aren't out like this. It feels sooo good to stretch them out in the open again!" He sighs as he stretches his flexible wings out to their fullest.

"I guess that means we can really relax here. I'm liking this place more and more." He says as he downs a drink. "I might just have to come here more often."

"Well, I hope you guys do come here often. It's nice to have some more people my age around. I mean, the terrors have plenty of friends their age, but mine seem to have scattered all over."

"Hey, are you guys any good at dancing. Cause Canis sucks at it, and I'd love to get back to the dance floor," she said, grinning.

Smiling, Kam slips his backpack off(quite a challenge with his wings loose) and pulls out a guitar.

"Actaully, I'm not very good at dancing. But if your Uncle will let me take over for a bit, I can put on my first open-air show." He leans forward, smiling. "Watch this." He whispers

"So Taron.. if I'm playing the music, you've got nothing to do and are going to be pretty bored, right? Maybe you could dance with Arielle to lessen that boredom?"

Kamenwati wrote:

"..."

"I hate you sometimes, you know that?"

"Arielle, get your hammer, we're going to put on a show that keeps pace with the music."

"Hey, Uncle Malice! Take 10 'kay? This guy just volunteered to take over the music for a few. Get a keg or something," she yelled, laughing.

Arielle grabbed Taron's hand and pulled him onto the dance floor. "Come on! You can't possibly be a worse dancer than Canis." ;)

"But I'll leave the hammer behind the bar, thanks so much. It's a bit cumbersome for dancing."

[Sniffle]...

I'm so proud... :D

"I didn't say it would be a safe show, now did I? You'll have more fun if you can dance and fight you. But don't worry, I'm never serious when a Fly Free song is playing."

"Unless you just want to dance normally?"

She laughed. "Well, if you think you can handle it..."

She stopped and picked up her hammer from behind the bar, hefting the large weapon as if it were light as a feather.

"Maybe we should try warning the other dancers?" ;P

"If you want." He replies as the first notes of Kam's [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haIEHcPb_GA]song[/ur] start to play.

"Not a Fly Free, but it's still okay. Let's do this."

He slips to the middle of the crowd, eyes glowing faint purple. The crowd parts as he waits for Arielle to make her move..

She tapped her foot to the music for a moment before the rest of her body started to sway in time to the music. She swung the hammer at the moment that felt right in the song and a crack of thunder added some percussion. Her movements increased in speed as she started to let herself sink into the music.

Taron bends backward at the waist and doesn't blink as Arielle's hammer passes withing an inch of his nose. Straightening, he uses his forward momentum(and a hand on Arielle's shoulder) to flip him self over over. He lands gracefully and ducks belowe her hammer's back swing.

:Perhaps you need a quicker swing. Being able to crack open a mountain is useless if it moves.: She hears in her mind. He dances around her again to face her, an open palm aimed at her right arm.

Her form blurred slightly as she moved and reformed just a little to the left of where she had been, wind swirling around her. The smell of rain grew stronger as the thunder cracked again.

"Who said I was trying to hit you?" she asked serenely, undulating away from him across the dance floor. "The storm blows where it wishes."

Arielle wrote:

"So we're just showing off? Let's see if I can keep up with the storm then!" He seems to slide after her, legs still as he shoots across the floor.

"The storm can only blow where it wishes if the wind lets it."

He jumps back up into the air. Arielle feels a great gust and hears the beat of powerful wings as he soars above the crowd and lands a few yards away from her. He spins around once to break the speed of his fall.

She laughs delightedly and blurs again this time swirling over and around him before reforming and adding a crack of thunder with her hammer.

"Oh, but I AM the wind, foolish boy."

"Er, dragon....boy."

After she'd gotten a hold of herself a little,
"So, I guess you're a telepath like Allura?"

After saying goodbye to Taron and Kam she walked over to the pool and looked down at Canis, laughter dancing in her green eyes.

"You done playing in the water yet?"
