Alexis face softens a bit. Biffs dumbfounded honesty was kind of refreshing honestly. Alexis looks to Mira. "Well if we are to play ball getting rid of any vermin would be prudent no?"

Alexis examines the meats with delight, though she looks up from the pile of meat to give a mixed stare at the women. She is lying, that much she knows.....But is she covering for someone else? Or herself?....Either way Alexis turns her attention to Mira. At first a little confused about the racquetball bit she quickly catches on and nods, taking a bite of the Turkey.
Alexis is nodding along, taking mental notes to use this later for a memoir. After they settle this issue of course, don't need to draw attention to this establishment. "I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate circumstances. I'm glad you were able to be free, though I wonder the circumstances of your...."masters" death....was it murder? A dramatic Rescue? Or something more mundane, like falling down the stairs......" Alexis sniffs the air as she speaks and drools a bit. After whiping the side of her lol she sheepishly asks. "Also Is there any way I could have some of that Turkey?"
Alexis sighs as she approaches the coffee shop. She lost Mira, went to her old rivals shop by mistake, for a tounge lashing from an old teacher....and only has a pamphlet to show for it....Today doesn't seem to be Alexis's dat. She enters in the coffee stop, only to see Mira grumbling to herself. "Ah! There you are. I tried to catch up to you when you left but....lost you in the crowd. Is everything alright?"Alexis cocks her neck as she notices Mira seems quite agitated.
Alexis seems intruiged by most of the supplies and items on display, however she finds that her lack of funds makes the prospect of shopping impossible at this time. "Would you mind if I grabbed a pamphlet to show my friends? I don't have much as of now but I know we would like to use the services in the future."
"Ah....Well I will say the interest is there, however I have been busy as of late...Maybe I will just browse the store today?" She had always had trouble dealing with this man and his......mentality. After all dad used to say he was "All the intelligence, wrapped up in all kinds of crazy." He may have been rude to say it but Alexis has a hard time denying it at times.
Alexis jolts up like a deer spotting a lantern. Of all the people she could have run into, this was not the person she expected. "Oh sir, I was just attempting to find a friend of mine. It seems I have lost her in the crowds. Um but that's neither here nor there at this point, how have you been! Last I saw you where attempting to show me the art of using....what was It? 'Using the mathematics of magic to fully utilize a spell?' Stuff that went over my head at the time unfortunately" Alexis puts on a wide smile, though she can't say this meeting is happy. The last time she saw this man her father was alive, and she still had some control of her life. Now seeing him only reminds her of how much has changed, and how much is gone.
So just posting this to make sure my post was not lost in the large amounts of posting that happened with Mira lol

A thousand thoughts screech through Alexis's head as she glances through her stuff. What where the baddies summononing? How did they know of the location? Did they eliminate the silver ravens? WAS it the silver ravens? If so why? and many other such thoughts. Well that is until her thoughts where interrupted by the sounds of Mira's shout that is. She flinches as she hears Mira storm off, peeking her head out just in time to catch her back go out the door. "Wait where is she going? Is she alright?Did anyone else hear....that?"Alexis glances around and notices no one else seemed to react. She taps the frame of the room door on silence before huffing a bit. "Can't let her just wander off, what if something happens!"Alexis turns heel and hides the important papers and such in the room, neatly anf inconspicuasly,before casting presdigitation on herself to get the rotten smell off. Hmmm Cherries? I can never understand why I smell like different fruit when I do that.....wait who cares after her!" After de-stinkifying herself Alexis gathers her bag with her spellbook and Runs outside.....only to realize that her faffing about has caused her to loose Mira. Alexis glances around and THINKS she catches Mira in the crowd and begins to head in that direction.
So I am gonna wait and see what everyone else does before I post as Alexis. Just to see what my options are for what I want her to do.
Alexis watches as she man leaves and fills a bit. "What a saint........" Alexis says that as she raises the giant cinnamon bun to her mouth and takes an unreasonably large bite.
"Ah Amara, it would seem someone heard your prayers. I'll let you and Mira get baths first. I need to begin my....work."Alexis yawns a bit and begins to set up some books and such for the transcribing, before she is interrupted by the knocks. Once she sees the food she makes a soft coo of a noise. "This.....Is this free? How much does this cost?"Alexis asks nervously, her hunger defiantly getting to her but her lack of funds (at least until we sell stuff) are keeping her from scarfing this down immediately.
Alexis was nods as she watches him float away. Defiantly something she needs to do. "Well then....Anyone think that captain may be more than just a sailor? Or am I just paranoid?"
Alexis raises an eyebrow and makes quick notes on the weapon and it's abilities. She also made note of the guards name and such, better to keep that in mind. "So this is our stop? Alexis looks out to check if there is any sign of that guard. When content she turns back to the captain. "If you would permit a question, where did you get your hands on such a powerful magical rapier?"

Hey man we have all had our fun with this kind if thing lol. I like me some Swashbuckler action! PLUS I would hope the captain wouldn't have that rapier for show!
Of course I also like doing away with the age thing since some players will just use things like synthesist to get the best of both stats and just run through the game with massive mental and physical stats.
I'm always in favor of logical bonuses for character stories, however I feel like a person to person basis should be considered to avoid manipulation. Case in point I kind of hate the age set up, due to the fact that it kinda railroads anyone wanting strength stats to being young and not an experienced elder. For me if you have been fighting for most of your life and keeping fit, being 50 shouldn't lower your strength and such so much. I actually enjoy playing older characters but generally can't unless the GM allows me to bypass the huge stat debuffs
Alexis nods. "Works for me, rather deal with this fine gentleman than the Thrune Goon Gang, what say the rest of you? Plus, I always wanted to sail!" Alexis chuckles to herself giddily as she adjust her bag on her shoulder and nods to gremlin to follow.
Alexis raises and eyebrow and approaches the captain. "Indeed my feline friend.....a bit late for captains from foreign lands to be loitering around no? Seems like we are both breaking some rules here" Alexis smirks at the man, attempting to act like one of those coy Heroine's from the spy books she loves.
Alexis is gonna attempt a perception to see if she recognizes the guy at all. Or see any details in particular.
Alexis gathers up her things and follows.
Alexis Walks up to a table,looking at Rexus. "This is Aspex, he is our new friend. Isn't that right buddy!" Alexis makes embarrising kissy faces at the large animal. Alexis then turns back to Rexus. "But now is the time for buisness! Here are the papers!" Alexis pulls the blank book that had all the papers in it out and sets them on the table She neatly stacks the papers together, making careful note not to mix them up. "They seem to be in 3 languages. Now I can understand the first two, unfortunately my celestial isn't too hot.. . as of right now at least. Luckily our friend gremlin can understand Celestial so if you want I could begin transcribing these immidiatly" Honestly, Alexis seems Way too interested in doing boring paperwork.
"Not dying!? Then we have a gift for you!" Alexis grabs the cloak of resistance Amara took off and gives it to Septima. "One cloak of making you more.....resistant! Should help you survive more!"
I need to find my sunglasses first.

Alexis flinched as the cloak is taken away. "Mira! Be careful that's a Elvish cloak! Well specifically a cloak of Elvin kind. It's magic, don't damage it! I mean it should help you be more stealthy so I would have suggested it go to you anyway....Honestly anything that helps with my magic works for me....want the cloak do resistance Septima? Alexis glances at the stuff, not exactly interested in anything aside from the scrolls, which she already procured. I guess so can take gold we get from selling stuff as my share...would let me buy supplies.
"Hi boy! Oh uh and no.....not me at least....Septima what about you? Got any magics that can help us here?" Alexis approaches Amara and looks at her inquisitively. "out of curiosity where does it itch in particular?"
I think we left that guy at the bar lol. At lead that's the last time I saw him I think. Also I admit I am kinda just excited to see when Warrick comes into play. I know it's just pride talking since I made him up, but I'm proud of him ya know? Plus I figured his personality would fit you general playstyle sir duck so I am curious how that goes :3

I may not know Celestial but our feline friend here can help with that....as long as your okay with helping me my friend....Otherwise I could use a celestial dictionary and try to transcribe it that way......Hmmmm so much work to do, I'm so excited!" Alexis gathers the papers and neatly places them inside one of her books in her bag.
