thanks from me as well. It was really fun - great balance between rp and combat and big chunks of inspiration for lore-diving. Especially for someone like me, who isn't very deep yet into the starfinder setting that's priceless!

It's such a relief that you still have one of those, Tocti - I spent all of Sarenraes gracefull gifts to defeat these crabs...or I could at least...
Albrik speaks a different prayer, consisting only of a few words. Nothing seems to happen, apart from the fact that his eyes receive an almost unnoticable glow.

Moving along the catwalk Albrik says another prayer. Suddenly a glowing ball of light as big as a human head appears right above mamma-crab -dazzling her with it's light.
cast "whisp ally" - it provides harrying fire. So the next attack against mamma-crab gets +2

Albrik moves up the catwalk, holding his spear at the ready praying at the same time. Two small suns, the size of a fist, fly from the tip of his spear and hit the small crab on the walkway in front of him.

Albrik also moves to the edge of the water, but not inside. He's clearly frustrated, that he can't help.

Then he tries to get nearer to the creature, trying to act as non-aggressive as he can think of, still paying close attention to it's reaction and watching out for signs that it understood what he just said.

After his first attempts provided no result, Albrik stubbornly keeps on trying his luck with signlanguage, trying out several more "universal" codesystems. Combined with Norberts fluteplay the scene probably looks like a bad pantomime-performance.

Albrik has really enjoyed some time out of his hardsuit. Especially the interest with which the students met his teachings did a lot to brighten his mood. But when Vic tells them the bad news, he becomes serious again.

I'm glad that you did survive this experience...I hope you don't mind me asking: is there a reason, you didn't have your eye restored by magic? Or replace it with cyberware?
When they reach the school, Albrik proposes:
Maybe I can just watch one of your lessons first and have an eye on your students to see if any of them need help...then later I can think about a few things, I can teach them myself.
If Sam agrees, Albrik introduces himself to the students, joins them during the next lesson and tries to figure out, if there is a motivational issue or something else, he can help with from "ground level":

If nothing interrupts the proceedings, he then starts his own lesson about the different cultures of the pactworlds he has either experienced himself during his travels or read about.
To anyone interested (he stresses that noone has to attend), he also offers a lesson on the history of Sarenrae and caps it off with a small ceremony in her honor.

Not having fought really, Albrik doesn't need the break and instead tries to talk to the lashunta individually and calm their nerves. To Chips explanations he adds: "The society assumed that you are probably not aware, that this part of the station is not safe and wanted us to find you in time...seems to have just worked"
In general Albrik tries to have a soothing effect on the group:

As Albrik realizes what's happening, he narrows his eyes and growls brandishing his spear: "you really want to attack these people? Don't you think, they have enough problems without you?
If you were hoping for easy targets, now is the best time to turn your tail and get lost!"

Albrik has been eating a meat pastry with as much attention to table manners as possible with a canine muzzle. On Chips comment, he radiates keenness to delve further into the topic

Realizing that the meaty smell of food has distracted him enough, to skip his introductions, Albrik quickly adds:

After hearing about the mission:

Albrik has been keeping himself busy in the temple: whenever his duties or his personal studies in the library allow it, he tries to think about what he learned during his last summoning to the academy - something about the true difference between life and matter probably or about not letting himself get mauled by security bots - he's not sure yet, when the message reaches him.
At the pastry shop, he audibly sniffs the air
"the sampler sounds perfect - smells like we would have a hard time choosing"

That's good to know. Thank you! I saw it in the recruitment forum, but always suspected it to be just a special campaign. But that explains, why it's so difficult to find starfinder games in the normal recruitment threads.
I'll take a look at it. I could definitely get used to having a starfinder-game going.

Another question as this is my first society game: in the sheet I received from GM Blazej it seems like we gained 1XP? I didn't expect to lvl up immediately, but that seems to be an odd number. And the items at the bottom? They are just the things any of us collected during the game?

As soon as Albrik has recovered from his stumbling, he starts to pray again, touching the symbol on his chest. With a brightly glowing hand (or paw) he touches Chance's armor, where the thing has ripped into it. The wounds immediately start to close.
