![]() Alandra nods when Anya finishes, and kneels before her. "Thank you so much Princess, I knew I could trust you. I'll be there when you talk to him and I promise to keep my big mouth shut." "And just to be clear, I know we need a church of Abadar here, I am all for that. I just don't like that priest." Alandra is thinking when she gets a chance she will travel to the old shrine of Erastil and see if Kavken is still there. ![]()

![]() Alandra is fuming as the priest of Abadar takes his leave. There is no way he is going to get away with this. She again takes her concerns to Anya. "He is trying to take over my shrine, and trying to become the High Priest! Don't let him, there is something not quite right with him I know it!" "Can we at least send someone to Restov to find out more about this Chrisof Reckson?" She tries to speak with any of the "influential members" of the community she can find, trying to find out what the priest has told them, and what they know about him. ![]() As soon as she can Alandra arranges a meeting with the priest of Abadar. "As much as we welcome you and your congregation in our settlement, you realize we cannot share the same structure as our temple indefinitely. At some point you are going to have to build your own." "I mean this is just not practical. There is a graveyard here; we give funerals and prepare the dead for burial. Shouldn't you have a bank or something?" She looks at him a little more sternly. "Another thing we need to be clear on, as one of the founders of this new kingdom, I am considered the religious leader of the people here. Without Pharasma's good grace this place would still be a bandit camp, she is the true patroness of this kingdom." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

![]() Alandra continues to show the orphan girl, Meg the ropes about being an acolyte of Pharasma. When someone dies in the town, they would go and give the deceased its final rites. Then they would have some laborers hired by the church to take the body back to the shrine where they would prepare it for burial, then bury it in the graveyard behind the old fort. The wealthy got a fine carved headstone and the poor just a plaque marking the grave. "If the family has money, they pay for this," she explains to Meg, "but mostly they don't so we have to pay the corpse bearers and grave diggers ourselves. That is why we have to ask our worshippers for any donations they can spare, and if they don't give enough I have to pay for it myself." They also preside over births of their faithful, again not having acolytes in the church who could act a midwives, they have to hire them from the towns populace and pay them from the church's funds, asking for remittance from those who could afford it. Although she has nothing against Abadar as a deity, and recognizes the need for religious diversity in the community, she isn't happy bout their congregation sharing "her" shrine. At the council she complains about it to Anya. "That shrine is supposed to be a Temple for Pharasma! It has a graveyard, not a bank! They need to build their own temple." She also voices her concern about the Abadarian priest, "There is something about that. guy... I don't trust him, I think he's up to something." In private she asks the leader, "Can we have out spymaster follow him and find out if he is up to something?" Alandra also spends some time looking for potential candidates form her congregation to become her acolytes, although there really wouldn't be a place for them until a proper temple was built. ![]()

![]() Alandra is grateful for the help in giving the bodies a proper burial. She wishes she could transport them back to the fort, but a quick burial in the wilderness will have to suffice. She uses her wand to heal herself and Batsukan. Batsukan: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 ,1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

He done nothin'. I wanna stop stuff like that happenin missu, can you help me do that?" "That depends on you. If you remain faithful and devoted, and do as I ask, Pharasma might make you strong. What you do with that is up to you, Pharasma does not concern herself with such matters." "I have killed many people just because I didn't like them. However, we are trying to build a lawful place here, so we must be sure to act within the law." "What is your name girl?" Alandra shows the orphan her shack. "I am leaving on an expedition tomorrow, but there is some food here and I will leave you a bit of coin if anything comes up." She gives the girl her old wooden holy symbol. "If anyone asks, show them this and tell them you are my new assistant. When I return I will train you in your new duties." At the ambush: Alandra casts delay poison on Batsukan. ![]()

![]() Alandra has no problem with a priest of Abadar conducting worship in her town, as she would if it was a deity like Urgathoa. Abadar would be good for the settlement she felt, the church could certainly help with things like banking and commerce. Although she doesn't completely trust the man who is leading them, he has nothing concrete to go on besides a gut feeling so she decides to wait and see before she takes any action. She also works on the graveyard, pulling weeds, planting flowers and the like. ![]()

![]() Alandra works with Elsbeth making sure the bandits have a proper burial. "Even though they were bad men in life doesn't mean they should not be buried right. They all go to My Lady in the end." The graves are simple affairs, just holes in the ground with no headstones or other markings to show who was buried there. It is a patch or land just in back of the fort, where the dirt is soft and fertile and flowers will grow in the spring. "Besides, if we do it right properly and Pharasma blesses it, they won't end up like those others up on the hill. Someday more will be buried here, maybe even some of us." She points to a building showing just over the wall on the other side. "I might turn that into a temple. We could cut a door in the wall right here and fence in this graveyard. This is a lovely spot don't you think?" Alandra is very pleased to have something she has never had before in her life; a place of her own. ![]()

![]() Alandra's eyes light up when she finds the dagger, and she turns it over carefully in her hands, wiping some of the grime off it with her cloak. "They must have robbed a priest or a temple to get this. I'm glad we killed them." When they are done exploring the cellar, Alandra busy's herself with proper disposal of the dead, enlisting the help of some of the others when she needs a body moved. When she and Elsbeth return from retrieving the bodies from the hillside behind the fort, he tells the rest about what they saw there. "We need to go back up there and get rid of them before we can move in here." she pronounces, already having decided that the fort would become their new base. Congratulations all on completing the first chapter! ![]()

Oleg's is a good base for exploring these lands, but think about what this fort can do for us in the future. Burning it to the ground erases that option." Make it ours? I was thinking the same thing... We shouldn't burn it." After hearing Auch's story, Alandra speaks up: "Iv'e heard enough. We should hang him." ![]()

![]() Happy anniversary Wrath! Spoiler:
Good advice Wrath. "Maybe I should do the talking, I know how to talk to the likes of them, you high-born types don't" Alandra pushes her holy symbol around to hang behind her head and pills her black cloak tightly around her to cover it, and puts the hood over her head. "Let's get moving."

![]() I hadn't seen anything around about prestige classes(Although I don't follow that closely), has there been any word about them? I know that PFO is planned to be more skill oriented like EVE but is there going to be anything like Prestige classes? I still love my Shadowdancer and such, I was wondering how feasible it would be to build a character like that. And to a further extent would it be possible to build say an Arcane Trickster with just base skills in PFO, such as take a few Rogue skills and some Wizard skills? ![]()
![]() Alright, so my gaming group is planning on using the Hollow's Last Hope 3.5 module as a start to our next PF campaign. The thing we were wondering is whether by lore Falcon's Hollow, and furthermore Darkmoon Vale, were actually on Golarion. Of course we can house rule it if the town isn't but I'd like to know. Thanks. ![]()
![]() I am going to start Dming a Skull&Shackles campaign fairly soon but I ran into a sort of problem. I noticed that multiple characters on the Wormwood(such as Grok, Rosie Cusswell and Riaris Krine) are described as using vulgar language very frequently. I personally do not like to curse, and the FLGS that the game is going to be run at has rules against cursing. I'm still intending on running this campaign, but I'm wondering a bit on how to get around that problem. How would you reccomend that I RP these characters if I'm not able to curse? |
