It doesn't appear that "players" receive credit. I tried recording a sample event with my husband as GM and myself as a player and it gave him an extra table of credit, but it didn't affect my tables. (I then deleted the table after testing) I do think it would be appropriate to give players credit since it is just as helpful as running a single table for GM experience.

I think GM 101 is an excellent resource and I would like my group to all go through the material. Unfortunately, I don't think my players will give up a night of playing for a night of talking about GM'ing unless I can find another way to bribe them. While we don't have a shortage of GMs, I think we could all use a few tips, such as adding more immersion and dealing with the occasional socially awkward moment.

Thank you. I think that answers my questions. I currently have a Bard deck and my husband has a Cleric deck, but it is unlikely that we will play the PFS ACG at the same time, so we will generally have one extra deck to loan for first-timers.

Hi,

I help my husband coordinate PFS events for our location and the store we use is a fairly busy location for PFS. We often have walk-ins who show up to see what PFS is like. We are now wanting to start the PACG as an extra table on some of our regular nights.

Can a player who has no expectation of the game and has not bought a deck be able to borrow my second deck for the first game? It sounds like players can borrow other players' decks when Taking One for the Team, but what if they don't have a deck at all?

Can they use a pregen from the Base Set? I'm assuming that's a no, since it sounds like pregens from the Base Set are only allowed for the demo and On the Horizon and not for any of the full scenarios.

Or do they need to pay the $20 for a deck before they've even tried the game? I realize the demo is available for new players and I am going to try to run that regularly, but I'd hate to turn someone away from a first game when they want to try it before committing to a Class Deck. Also, I know the rules say a Class Deck is required, but for PFS it is permissible to use a pregen when a character hasn't been created yet.

I'd love some clarification so I can make the event as inviting as possible (though the store has also been forewarned to have some decks on hand). Thank you.

Sinatar: Thank you so much. I think that answers my question.
Kimera: I believe I will avoid using a trample for now, for simplicity's sake.
Mystic: I'm acting as if the PC already successfully scared the horses.

Thank you all for your recommendations.

No, they are not pinned or tied up. They are loose in a courtyard.

Kingmaker spoilers:

They are at Oleg's trading post, fighting the bandits there. All the bandits are on foot with their horses nearby. The front gate is blocked by one of the PCs, who is a mounted cavalier yelling and waving a battle standard trying to spook the horses.

My question is, if the horses panic and start to run, how do I handle the possibility of NPCs getting trampled, etc?

I should have clarified. The horses are not combat trained. They are simply used for riding and as pack animals.
Thank you for the suggestions. Given the tight quarters, I can't easily have the horses run, but some may rear while others may cower. I will also look at the thread you recommended.

I would appreciate any help that can be given in the following situation:
My PCs are fighting bandits who have riderless horses in tight quarters. One of my PCs is specifically trying to panic the horses. How would I apply the rules in this scenario?

Thank you in advance for suggestions.
