Instinctively, the four monsters pause in respect for the destructive power of Zed's mighty Chain-Sword....
Smarting from the injuries inflicted by Zed's morningstar and Maagun's jaws, the akata slinks past the lethal Artifact Miners and springs for the exit, scrambling toward the open starboard airlock door....
What Zal knows about akatas....:
Zal has seen stylized pictographs on Kellid artifacts, emerging from strange vessels or attacking humanoid shapes, and has heard legends of the "star-lions" or "akatas", disease-spreading monsters from beyond the starry void.... Their maws are infested with star-worms too tiny to be seen by mortal eyes.... Humanoids killed by akata's disease rise as "void zombies", fast, ravening undead Killers that exist only to devour the living!
The blue beast dodges with feline agility.... It growls at Zed as the android backpedals out of its reach.... GGGRRRRR!!!
The akata turns its attention to Maagun, snarling as it snaps it's slavering jaws , lacerating the cyborg horse's foreleg for piercing, and possibly infecting Maagun with disease! It lashes out at the cyborg horse with its foreclaws.... missing.... and missing again....
Nalket distracts the beast with feinting thrusts of her longspear....
The akata squeals in pain as Zed's morningstar crushes its collar bone! YYAAAARRRPP!!!!
Maagun chomps down hard on the mane of tentacles at the scruff of the lion-creature's neck, eliciting a bestial howl of pain from the monster! RRROOOOOOHHH!!!
The blue lion-like monster springs through the open doorway at Geirmur, it's jaws opened wide to bite , but Geirmur dodges back and its jaws snap on empty air!
