I really liked the game, but I wonder if a GM would be up for taking over this weird idea of an all vigilante game.

We've already progressed quite a bit and I think we've got a good party going.
Putting it on hold, and see how life goes after the added stress of the holidays have passed appeals to me. Attendance drops with the holidays anyway.
Slow posting just demoralizes. If we put it on pause untill the new year, we all have something to look forward to.

I'm still here. I guess I was waiting for the GM to let us know if I rejoin the party without incident.

After waiting for a while, agnes will carefully make her way back to the others.

Agnes makes a quick run for it, keeping her shoulders drooped and her face downcast.

She runs for a few blocks to keep the illusion complete.

Agnes absently strokes Laika's fur. "Id say the Victocora estate is a good first place. Its the one we know most about."
She looks at Rexus. "If you can produce a layout, even a basic one, it can greatly aid us in our search. While it might have burned down, we can compare your layout to the foundations, see if there is a hint of rooms that shouldnt be there."

Agnes gently puts a hand on Adun's leg in comfort when she sees his face darken.

Agnes arrives at the coffee house, odds and ends from the stable in Laika's saddlebags. She greets the others warmly.
"A sculptor? Dont think I do... Putting down some order would help, although I'm not the most skilled at building. I did bring some rope and leather from the stable. Plus some blankets. They aren't exactly new, but since they are clean and warm, they will help with the damp down there. I figured if we dont need all those crates, we can use the wood, leather and rope to fashion a simple bedframe. Being off the ground is important in staying warm."

While Agnes is mucking out a stable, there is a polite knock at the door. Not expecting a patron, she looks up surprised.

In the doorway is a short, thin man. "Hello Agnes, long time no see."
Agnes is delighted to recognise Benjamin, an older human male.

"Benjamin, now wonderful to see you! With everything going on, I was worried something had happened to you."
Agnes had been worried. Benjamin was the son of two escaped slaves, and his youth in poverty had left him sickly. He had a simple job as a cleric in the mayor's office. Nothing more then a paper pusher really. But he occasionally heard gossip, and passed important info on to the Bellflowers.

Benjamin shrugs. "Yeah. There has been a lot of scrutiny lately. Luckily my position is not important. Also, I look like I would die if a grandma punches me, so no one pays much attention to me anyway."
Laika has come up to sniff the visitor. Benjamin holds out a fist for the wolf to sniff. Satisfied that Benjamin is not a threat, nor carries a treat, Laika lies back down again.

Agnes gives Benjamin an encouraging pat on the arm. "They might think nothing of you, but I'm glad you are OK. Its good to see you again. Care for a cup of tea?"
Benjamin shakes his head. "Thank you, but I need to be off. Just came in to see you were ok too. I'm glad you are. With all that talk of rebellion brewing... I'm glad someone is ready to stand up to the Thrunes. But people like you and me are always the victims of this."

Agnes nods. "It aint easy, being us, but we make do the best we can. If anything comes up, let me know. It was good seeing you again."

Both shakes hands and Agnes gives Benjamin a wave as he leaves.

Agnes returns home, diligently working at the stables. Laika takes the opportunity to nap. A lot.
She keeps her eyes and ears open for interesting gossip.

Secrecy does fit our vigilante team the best.

I like being recruiter. No one expects the cute halfling ;)

Agnes rubs her chin toughtfully. "That is not a bad idea. While I couldnt sell people who know me that I joined a book club, I could easily tell that Ive been taking some lessons in book keeping, to help with my buisness. Working in the stables, and being a Halfling, a lot of people expect me to not be smart. So taking lessons wouldnt be too much of a hard sell."

Rebellion rules will be interesting to use, and see how they influence things.
We just need to keep an eye out if they dont distract/eat up too much time.

Agnes nods in agreement. "Yeah. We cant do this with just a small group. We can lead the charge, but we'll need support. Maybe we should do a few public actions. Tie some thrune lovers to a lamp post in the square or something. Actions that the public can see, and the thrunes denying them will only undermine their authority. Then keep our ears to the ground, see where we get support. Then slowly start building up contacts with those groups."

Agnes and Laika have been upgraded. Took Toughness for Laika, and Close the Gap for Agnes.

"Birdman? Underground? This keeps getting weirder and weirder..."

Im back from my vacation, and straight into a heatwave. Dont expect too much from me yet. Today it was 37 degrees outside and 32 inside the house O_O

I'll be on holliday in the UK from tomorrow (18th) till next tuesday (24th). Friday, saturday and sunday will be PaizoconUK, so I wont have time to post then.

The moment Agnes enters the building, she realises how hungry she is. With all the rushing around, she had forgot to eat a decent mean.
And you cant run around tunnels on an empty stomach.

After devouring a big meal, Agnes dresses up Laika (who patiently undergoes the procedure).
While busy, she talks to those who assist her.
"While I was heading home, I noticed that the Chelish Citizen's Group was everywhere, sneering and bullying those weaker then them. The bastards. The streets were quite empty. I think most people are avoiding going out unless they have to."

After taking care of the animals, Agnes collapses in the hay, counting on Laika to wake her up if something happens.
The wolf was not only a light sleeper, he was also more prone to taking short naps, followed by activity, then napping again.

After resting enough, Agnes wakes up in the late afternoon. After finishing chores and feeding the animals, she leaves for The Balanced Bolt.
Once there she buys a bundle of affows and a Silver weapon blanch. She would not be caught unprepared by those devils again.

Agnes has starting gold left over that I will use for the arrows and the blanche. I'll update my profile later as I cant brain today and I would probably mess it up

Purchases complete, she makes her way to the coffeehouse in a roundabout way.

In the same vein, I'm playing eyes of the ten coming friday/saturday, and I'm demo-ing Pathfinder at a game day on sunday. I'll probably be too exhausted to post.

I see the loot list holds a Composite (+1) Shortbow. If it hasnt been claimed yet, and no one has any objections, I could use that. With the fund available, Agnes would not be able to buy anything better then that anyway. And the money so does have would be better saved untill a better upgrade becomes available. But a ranged option would be good to have, as our encounter with the 'blobs' showed

Its good that Liara brought out enough for 10 people, because Agnes eats as much as 3 grown men.
Laika happily gnaws on a bone.

With her stomach finally sated, Agnes declares: "I'm going home now. While I'm about ready too keep over, I do have the stables to attend to. The animals will need tending. There will be cleaning to be done. Depending on what we do I can turn in late in the afternoon, or push trough and take a normal nights rest."

Agnes will need to keep up her work in the stables. For the animals sake as much as to keep the cover in place. It might be good to look at a ranged weapon too

Agnes nods in agreement with Brianna. "A nap and a biiiiig meal"

Agnes looks impressed at Carl. "You can tell that there is something magical in there, trough the metal and all? Wow! I didnt know that was possible with magic."

When Laria enters, Agnes warmly shakes the other halflings hand.
"My allegiances are with the Bellflowers, but they too have gone dark. I hope that by pooling our resources, that in the end we can do what is best for the people of Kinthargo."

Agnes warmly shakes Laria's hand.

Seeing how cramped the room will be, Agnes leaves Laika to guard the door to the room.

"Yeah, we really didnt want to take too much time down there. It was all kind of weird. With a super gross pool and some molten devil things."

Used to Halflings covering for eachother, Agnes naturally makes some small talk as the others file by.

"Aw, thank you, its so good to be back. Work just keeps me busy, you know?"

I got food poisoning this weekend, and I was in too bad a state to let you know. It might take me a bit to get back up on my feet. Feel free to bot me untill Im back.

True, the trick states:

Come (DC 15): The animal comes to you, even if it normally would not do so.

But I think its fair (and therefore up to GM discretion) to define what 'normally' would mean. Even when knowing the trick, an animal would most likely not be inclined to follow a command if that command was dangerous to itself.
It might 'come' if it has to cross a stream, even if it doesnt like getting wet, but it would most likely not 'come' if it has to cross lava.

Jumping down a straight hole is very dangerous, so specifically issuing the command is not farfetched in this situation I think.

Yeah, I'm giving the others the chance to do something. Maybe other people have food, or want to withdraw a bit. I hadnt checked if others have handle animals, for maybe an aid.

Nah, not really. My skills are easily accessible I think. Agnes is not scared of going into melee. I'll see about making a ' bot me box' in my profile.

Laika tilts his head for a moment before enthousiastically trying to lick Adun's face.

Agnes arranges an overnight stay in the temple, hoping the extra care will heal her wounds faster.

When Adun is about to leave, she shakes his hand gratefully. "Thanks for sticking with me Adun. If you hadn't taken that blow for me, it could have ended real bad. I'll see you again tomorrow. Please take care."

With her friend leaving, Agnes hangs around a bit awkwardly. She doesnt know the others. And she wasnt that much of a social butterfly to just start up a conversation about the weather (so to speak).

Agnes is still a bit under the weather, but not much. I'm willing to take my chances with long time care, as I still have Laika to back me up.

Agnes has been quiet for a while. After the adrenaline rush had died down, she felt quite winded.

"I still have some coin to contribute. I wouldnt mind doing so."

This weekend is my first con as a Venture-Captain! I am nervous!
There probably wont be any posts from me from friday to sunday. Possible also not thursday/monday depending on the last minute rush/con crud.

"I never saw myself as a hero either, just doing what a decent person would do. Any advantage that we can get over Thrune is worth taking a risk for."

Agnes looks a bit disaprovingly at Laika, who is by now on his back, presenting his belly to Brianna for pettings.
"Well, Laika is sure convinced who the hero is here..."

When she hears the pain in Adun's voice, she softly places her hand on Adun his arm.
"I have retained much of my old correspondences. I've also been collecting what I can about the old societies, like the Silver Ravens. Its mostly scraps. But I see them as threads of hope. Threads that we may weave into a new story for Kintargo."

Laika enthousiastically gives Brianna 'wolf kisses'.

Agnes will take a few of the maces and the amulets. You never know when they will come in handy

Once in the room, Agnes sighs a big sigh of relief. It had been some tense moments, and she hadnt escaped unscathed, but she felt especially bad for dragging Adun into this.
But now was not the time for regret. It was now a time for choices. And Agnes knew what she stood for.

"Ah, good to make your aquintance mister Victocora. The Bellflowers had put you forth as my contact, and now I see why. My name is Agnes Briar, and I run messages and information for the Bellflowers under the name of The Pack."

"Good to see you're feeling a bit better sir. And I very much would like a word with you. But I would propose we all take a moment to liberate these gentlemen of their weapons. Then they will think twice of harming poor citizens like us."
