Body: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 1) = 12
Abĭss had not liked how things had turned, even before reaching their actual destination. His thoughts drifted to what he might do to that Johnson should he ever meet him again or if he could get Taty to find him. While he did not empathize with the gals due to lacking empathy as of late, he did note their displeasure and would have dispatched the Dwarf had they asked. It was not that he did not understand the value of life, but it was not much different to him than turning off a machine. He vaguely remembered when it meant a lot more to him but could no longer truly understand why. He had basically burned that out of his brain and now he was serving the penance for his vanity and indulgences that continued to haunt his every waking hour. After just having more than he would care to take on before the mission and body checking the driver, he nodded to Taty's comment and then with a slightly raised eyebrow accepted her treasured jacket. "I will return this." He then lends a hand to both Taty and Gnossi into the truck before donning the jacket and joining the others in the back of the truck. The ride was cold, but it supplied a sensation that at least registered and reminded him that he was still a living being, even though he did not really feel much like one. Still he hunkered down to minimize exposure and retain body heat. Still his suit did cover nearly his entire body, even though it did not protect all that much from the cold, so the added jacket was a good thing or he might have been a bit worse off than he would have otherwise been. Upon final arrival, he exits the rear of the truck and like Wraith does some larger muscle movements to help augment the smaller constant flexing movements he had done to help keep his body temperature up. He then removes the jacket and helps Taty slip it back on as she was going to need it more than he. He then looked at the two ladies and asked, "So where to next, I do not think staying out in the cold for too long would be a good idea for any of us."
Okay folks finally got the time and a place I could post. First I moved and now my internet provider is only giving me partial access to internet and most of what I can get to is not something I want to get to and most of what I want or need to get to I cannot get to. They fixed it for about 1.5 weeks but then it went back to being an issue. They have now decided it is my hardware and will do nothing more until I can prove it is not my hardware. Highly annoying since nothing has changed with my machine but there router (and its replacement) are new elements. This means I have limited access to the internet (gmail, youtube) and when I would usually post is when I cannot get onto Paizo (due to the limited access not allowing me to get to this site). I have taken part of a day to come to the library to put this information out. As a player I would be sporadic at best but would still be willing to be a player just not sure how often I could post until I get my home machine fully operational.
Abĭss looked at Taty for a moment and then said, "Okay, I am assuming you have forgotten that dead bodies can cause unnecessary and undesirable attention. Therefore, since if their is no body then there is no crime to investigate nor be charged for. As for him," he gestures towards the Dwarf, "assuming they live, I would not trust them at all, so we need to dispose of this body so that it does not become a problem later. Still if there is any resellable hardwire we can acquire, it would be a shame to just throw that into the drink. Further, can you tell if there is any tracers on his body that need to be removed before disposal? Again, no retrievable body no crime."
At the Dwarf's comments he glances over and flatly and rather coldly says, "Well, that is what happens when you threaten the wrong folks with weapons." He then looks over at Manjit and asks, "Hey Manjit wanna help be drag this corpse out on the deck so the whether can dispose of it and feed the critters of the bay?" As Taty looks over the body, he mistakes the reason for it and asks, "So Taty does it have any salvagable cybernetics we can take before offering him up to the storm and Davy Jone's locker?"
Perception: 12d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 6, 2, 1, 6, 4, 1, 3, 4, 1) = 445 = 5
There were severe consequences when someone threatened those Abĭss felt were his charges and this Troll had just experienced what that consequence was. After dropping the Troll, he glanced at the other enemy that he could see and noticed Manjit's momentary look of disgust. This might have bothered him at one time but with how colorless the world seemed to him now it just ended up being just another meaningless shade of dull gray. With the other enemy under control, Abĭss turned his attention back to the corpse and began carefully checking it for any useful things that either he or one of the others might be able to use. After gathering everything of usefulness, he walked the shotgun with any extra ammo, over to Taty and laid it in a chair next to her. "With how things seem to be progessing, you might need this as we progress. Just point it in the general direction of something and pull the trigger. So are you okay?"
OCC: Great I was waiting for the restart before moving forward then the next time I can check in my entire series of actions are once more completely skipped. As such I am going to use some poetic license since that means I have technically missed 3 turns or more of actions which would total up to 9 or more full actions. Having planned to execute the Troll since the Dwarf was occupied and the other body was no where to be seen. Then the Troll got up and moved past him which is fine by him and then exactly when the troll turned to face and threaten Gnossi he, in an extremely quick fluid action, moved up behind the Troll pointing the barrel of his Ares at the base of the Troll's skull and pulled the trigger twice. 2nd Initiative Pass
I will await the GMs determination of the results prior to rolling for damage, if deemed necessary. Note the Mod is the bonus for my Smartlink system forgot to add that in. As for Point-Blank I found that on page 153 a +2 Dice Pool but there are some possible guidelines that might cover what I am doing that cause a negative dice pool so I would be good with that being a wash in order to keep it simpler.
OCC: Okay with IPs resolved and Abĭss basically ready to act I will complete his actions. Abĭss moves quickly and gets into a position so he can see the Troll, and not being the forgiving sort uses his Ares Predator to put an end to the Troll. Confident that the others would take care of the Dwarf and that human that was no where to be seen. Pass One Move to get LoS on the Troll while drawing his Ares Predator IV from its Quick Draw holster to put a few rounds into him. Use a simple action to take Aim at a portion of the body without armor such as the head or whatever else is the best target that will put this Troll out of action. I need to figure out exactly what I can do and how I can do it unless someone wants to give me the sequence in detail. Will try and post tomorrow.
Initiative: 9d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 3, 3, 1, 4, 2, 5) = 29
OCC: To clarify this the round that the Dwarf dropped the grenade and the Ork's action is to react to this by diving for cover? And the 3rd individual is where and doing what? Oh and Gnossi looking at the map, I would suggest definitely dropping a dome over the grenade and the Dwarf. They are very close together and easily contained within.
Perception:
Perception: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 2) = 11 At Gnossi's request Abĭss had been moving to dispose of the loathesome Dwarf, to glad to have a reason to jettison the garbage overboard that was giving him itches that he would rather not have. Then things suddenly changed. His ears perked but not because of what he heard but because of what he was not hearing. He activates his ultrasonic emitter and momentarily shifts his perceptions to view the magical world noting everything that he can and reacting quickly to position himself to be ready to protect Tatyanna as well as launch a counter offensive. He then readied himself for what might come. GM: Note: Abĭss gets 3 Initiative Passes (aka 3 full actions) every turn where most non-augmented folks only get 1.
Further not only can he Assense (see the magical world) but he has Thermographic Vision and Ultrasonic Hearing which basically gives him a sort of bat-like sense allowing him to perceive his physical surroundings without needing to see them. Also due to his unique enhanced hearing I figured with 1 success he would notice the sound change. Might not perceive everything else unless that TN 2 was to notice an invisible guy moving through the room. For to him that guy would not have been invisible to his bat-like hearing ability. Assense: 7d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 5, 4, 3, 2) = 22 Lastly being able to get 3 actions in a turn, would he be able to get to the grenade and toss it out the door (I would love to just put it under the Dwarf if allowed but would settle with tossing it out the door) before it went off. The delay on a time delay grenade is usually about 4 seconds or perhaps just about enough time for 2 of his 3 Initiative Passes. If that is not doable then what would be his options and is Tatyana in a protected spot from the grenade? Oh and yeah I need to post my completed character sheet sorry, try to get that up tomorrow.
Sorry everyone for my long absence started a new contract and it had 2 weeks of fairly intensive training -- oh and while the class was only 3 hours per day, the 3 hours of independent work per day turned into like 9 hours (or perhaps more) of independent work. It didn't help that I had to spend catch-up time for the 1st 2 days that I had missed. Still got it all completed yeah. However, due to how late I joined this specific contract I only had 9 days left of the contract and I be needin mo munnee or me wife was gunna hit me with an iron skillet. So then I spent 9 days of working from 9am to 11pm with somedays being nearly busy all day as the calls would exceed my scheduled breaks and therefore I would miss the break. Still it was enjoyable and hopefully nets me enough money to help cover various expenses that we have for a bit. Note I am okay with being a connection for one of the new players, especially if they are Fae in anyway. Oh and I am the Combat Adept
When Taty mentioned going in Abyss pointed at her and nodded, basically indicating or reassuring her, as before, that he would be covering her. This is basically something he has been doing on the other few missions where she has went live versus total matrix and as before he tends to make good on that promise, regardless of what that might mean.
"Yeah, okay... so we are on a clock because we are heading into a ticking time bomb, literally." He says this as he stands up and moves towards the door. "So are any of you good with radio equipment and how much time should we say we will commit to this before bugging out there before the house blows up?" He waits by the door looking back to the others in case there are any words he should be aware of as to a plan of action and what not. He was simply the blade or gun of the group and he would follow their lead as usual. What nagged at the back of his mind was what had happend to the previous crew. He was guessing at least one of those absolute horrors being researched the guy mentioned but what form was it taking. He truly hoped it was not a bug problem they were about to blindly walk into.
Aybss expresses either boredom or disgust or both and with a slightly exaggerated sigh replies to the Johnson, "No, I think my words were pretty clear. I was asking for clarification which you did not provide, again. I also asked three times for information on those that we are supposed to be finding so we can tell if we found one or not but again you chose not to even bother to acknowledge let alone answer that. Lastly I am not even sure if it is all that important to you whether we find any of them alive or not but you obviously are not concerned if they are all dead or worse. So once more, are you even capable of supplying any information on who you are saying that you are hiring us to find." To Gnossi's question he looks at her and then sighs, "Well does it really matter," he gestures uncommitedly, then makes a gesture with his right hand, "its a job," then gestures with his left hand, "we're gettin' paid," then he gestures with his right thumb in the direction of the Johnson, "and he ain't willin' ta give any quality info. Sooo... it is what it is or... is not. We'll just get it done like we usually do or we won't due to lack of info." He looks pointedly at the Johnson, "and at least we still got paid for our time and if it ain't cosher," again he looks pointedly at the Johnson, "we know exactly who to track down and make sure no other group gets drekked."
"Great, however, you have not provided any data on exactly who we are looking for. So again, biometric data on all the individuals would be the best incase they are no longer recognizable but at least pictures of what they once looked like would be somewhat helpful. Also, by soul rescued are you meaning alive or at least dead but accounted for. As if they are all dead and you are only paying for living bodies, then that gesture was totally meaningless." Abyss says this all in a sort bored or depressed tone and rather matter-of-factly like he was reciting an inventory list of nuts and bolts or something equally as dull.
Abyss looks at the cred stick as he listens to the exceeding lack of information and would, if he were in charge tell them no but he is not in charge so awaits to see what their team lead decides but makes to be sure to indicate his negative too the mission. He hoped that considering the situation they leader would see that this pay was rather paltry. The risks are very high, the circumstances extremely sketchy with far too many unknowns involved. So it is really impossible to gauge what this endeavor should cost, hopefully their leader or their face will negotiate for I higher pay out upon completion, otherwise he just does not see this being worth their time. You cannot spend creds if you dead. OCC: Not sure who our team lead or face is but since we have worked together previously someone would the got to person on these kinds of calls.
Abyss's eyes narrow at that last sentence and he says, "Excuse me is there a reason you just called it a Hive? Were they perhaps doing bug research there? Also, it would be fairly essential that we know what this team consisted of and what they look like if we are to find them. Oh and fingerprints," he momentarily pauses before continuing with, "or better yet, biometric data might be needed for indentification purposes just in case they are no longer recognizeable."
Abyss does not choose to correct Taty as obviously that aspect of that lady's body was most definitely fake. Especially since no normal Elf was that endowed and being fake they would basically never fall. Heck depending on what they were made of they might never ever fall but she being an Elf meant, they would be around a very, very long time assuming something non-adverse happened to her.
Abyss sat sullenly as he usually did, he mentally agreed with Gnossie about the whether girl but also knew the girl was just playing a role to bring home the big creds. Of course, he also knew that selling ones spirit did come with an emotional price and her extracurriclar activities probably had to do a lot with trying to cope with that taint. Still she did, as Gnossie stated, make them collectively look bad, as it drug them down to almost a human level and there was really no lower form of life than them. Still he could only shake his head in a sort of a mixed disagreement and disappointment in Gnossie's opinion about the Pixies or any Fae for that matter that were in the Tir as that was his home and they were mostly good folk. So, yeah maybe they were blowing the drek weather back but that would be their perrogative and if you did not want to deal with it you just needed to go there. Well that is unless you got tossed out for some reason. Abyss traced an imaginary magical symbol upon the table to occupy his mind as he listened to the pitch of the Johnson. Top secret, yada, yada, yada. Not like anything they ever did was going to on anyone's record books as that was what being a Shadowrunner was all about. Covert operations and if you get caught you are on your own, no one is going to give you a second thought and you will be completley denied or dead depending on just how thorough your employer was about removing loose ends. |
