Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

I think my first action would be what I posted earlier. Casting Mage Armor. The link is in that post and also under my profile in a spoiler.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

I have no problem. I don't think anyone was complaining just excited!

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

So I have yet to hear back from the DM and I see him recruiting for other games and still posting on others. I think it is safe to assume that he has abandoned this game.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

I agree with both Nishara, and Baptiste. I will PM him and if he is not going to continue we should try to get another DM who can try to pick up for us.

I have PM'ed the DM. If he does not wish to continue or does not respond within a reasonable amount of time we can jump over to the original recruitment thread and start again.

Still here. DM is active in his other games. I think he may have given up on this one.

Steel yourselves! Don't rush them. We have to find out their numbers. The man yells to the others.

Aaron begins to cast a spell. Mage Armor link

Whenever he is able to act of course

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

It doesn't make sense. It only covers six hours. I think we should wait for the others to weigh in before we give a final decision. I know it's not all that important but if something does go down it will matter.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

I'm getting that dead in the water feeling... Sobbing quietly...

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

I thought it best to do two people for three 3 hour watches. Any objections to this line of thought? With that he leaves the others to hash out the details. The man lays out his bedroll and sets up a sleeping area, strips out of his traveling clothes and replaces them with wildly elegant ones. He then quickly cast a spell on his dirty clothes and heads off to make a fire.

The spell is prestidigitation to clean the clothes.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

It's the avatar that makes you look so you lol!

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

The wizard stops and looks at the young boy? quizzically. If you've that ability then perhaps you should. I would not rely on that alone however. He pats Gazzer on the shoulder and waits for the others to speak up.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Who are we working for? It's a little vague to be walking into a suspected war zone for them.
If Aaron seemed dower before it was nothing compared to this startling news. These are grave tidings. he says and remains silent until the begin to set up camp for the evening.

Aaron helps the others pick a camp with high ground, as little wind as possible and hopefully a water source. We should stay close, but not not close enough for all of us to be struck by a group spell while we sleep he says. We should pair up our abilities accordingly. However some of us require unbroken rest or we will find our magics useless in the morning. I would like to take first watch so as to concentrate on the study of my magics in the morning. I would suggest men at arms guard us for a middle watch. Three hours per shift? He asks looking to the others. His tone implies he is somewhat used to giving orders, but lacks the edge of a command.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

ROFL

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

By the gods Aaron says in irritation, yet struggling to hide his amusement.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Baptiste, Darian, as you two look to be the most capable with steel why don't you take point and rear guard. I shall remain along side the cart. Hmmm... It would be good to have a scout. Aaron looks all around aggravated with the situation. He wheels his horse around and trots off toward the road.

This is just a suggestion. Aaron is a bit of an a@# to strangers. Obviously you should all do whatever you want! lol

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

I think we are going to have to drug Bardy's milk like they did to Mr. T on the A-Team lol

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Aaron balks ARE YOU SAYING YOU ROBBED A FARMER! he says in a raised voice.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

You will only slow us down. A half mounted group can't travel together... A wagon or cart perhaps?

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Aaron, finished with breakfast heads to the kitchen to pilfer a large cheese cloth which he piles full of items from the breakfast spread. I would recommend you all do the same. It saves tapping into limited supplies. With that he heads to the stables and readies his horse for the trip.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

@DM Aaron has a horse

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

So I see. As no dwarf would compare himself to a filthy gully dwarf I believe you Aaron responds to Baptiste's indignation. With that the man stands and takes his breakfast outside to eat alone. He pauses only to nod slightly to Darian as he exits.

Darian etc.:
I have in fact served with Sturm Brightblade, but I have never met him however. I was at the High Clerists Tower when he was killed. My companions and I had volunteered to bolster the weak points in the defense rather than ride out with that fool Crownguard. Those were dark days... with that his eyes glass over a bit and he doesn't speak another word about it.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Err... No thanks, dwarf... or whatever you are. Aaron continues to watch the others with no attempt at hiding his distaste and suspicion.
Aaron has spent much of his life in Solamnia and has picked up many of their prejudices. Not to mention four armed dwarves have probably never before been seen by anyone on Krynn lol

Again the wizard can't help but have his attention drawn to the wretched creature named Bardy. Positively disgusting creatures he mutters to himself. He shakes his head as Bardy dunks his head into the bucket, and finds himself almost hoping that the little monster has suffocated in the snot bucket.

Darian/Any interested:

Wiston? Aaron replies with a faint hint of skepticism. As in Uth-Wiston? Not Brightblade? or is that an intended lie?
[b]So you are a Solamnic then? I spent most of the war fighting with the Knights to hold Solamnia for the the Dark Queens forces.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Aaron chats with the Darian while smoking his pipe and resting by the fire for another hour after the others head off to their rooms. Finally the man retires for the evening.

Upon waking and dressing he takes the time necessary to memorize his spells and then heads down to breakfast. He takes a plate and fills it with everything that is out of the gully dwarfs reach. He takes seat by himself and eyes Nishara warily.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Aaron turns to Darian, the conversation apparently over. Are you a Knight of Solamnia?

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

At the sight of the dwarf and his four hands Aaron's face scrunches up. He then regards the elf woman quizzically and again turns to the speaker, waiting for a response.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

At Bardys abrupt movement Aaron casts a disapproving sidelong glance at the wretched creature, and continues his conversations with the others.
Of course nothing personal!

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Oh. I get the four hands now.

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Aaron tears his gaze away from the filthy gully dwarf and his "meal," and surveys the others at the table. His eyes linger on each, but only for a moment. What is it that we are looking for? Is there anything of particular interest? he asks finally turning back to the man. He then takes the purse and tucks it away in his belt pouch, leaving its contents unexamined.

Side note: Why would a dwarf have four hands??

Male Human Abjurer / 4 Wizard of High Sorcery/1 (White Robe) HP: 45/45 AC: 11 Init +1 Fort: +4 Ref: +3 Will: +9

Uh oh The End of Krynn sounds ominous!

Okay! Finally done. I hope the background is not too long and leaves some neat and interesting "hooks" for you Rizzenmagnus. Please let me know what you think and what I should change.

Pathfinder has no Forge Domain. It is only in 3.x

Ok, finished the crunch and the numbers. My Gully Dwarf Cleric is now done. I struggled a bit with reconciling the Gods from the books with the domains and such with Pathfinder so will need DM approval on this.

I chose the Dwarven God Reorx as my diety and set his domains as: Artifice, Warfare, and Luck based on his description in the Dragonlance Wiki

Reorx.

Don't know if this helps but the campaign guide lists his domains as Earth, Fire, and Forge. If anyone has questions that my be found in the campaign guide PM me and I will try and help.

Ok, I'm going with a Gully Dwarf cleric. DM, should I stick with the Pathfider racial adjustments for dwarves? Or should there be some adjustments?

Pathfinder Dwarf: +2 con, +2wis, -2cha
Gully Dwarf?: +3con, +2wis, -2cha, -2int?

Or something like that? Rationale being they aren't too smart (-2int) but are able to survive on a diet of rats and garbage (+1 extra con).

He's probably going to be a former disgraced chieftain of a clan now forced to head off into a life of danger in his disgrace.

LOVE IT!

Not even close to done with crunch let alone the back story but this will be my submission. I decided to go with a white wizard. This character has been rattling around in the cobweb filled parts of my brain for close to 14 years. I just remembered when I was looking at the three wizard types!
