I agree with both Nishara, and Baptiste. I will PM him and if he is not going to continue we should try to get another DM who can try to pick up for us. I have PM'ed the DM. If he does not wish to continue or does not respond within a reasonable amount of time we can jump over to the original recruitment thread and start again.

Steel yourselves! Don't rush them. We have to find out their numbers. The man yells to the others. Aaron begins to cast a spell. Mage Armor link Whenever he is able to act of course

It doesn't make sense. It only covers six hours. I think we should wait for the others to weigh in before we give a final decision. I know it's not all that important but if something does go down it will matter.

I thought it best to do two people for three 3 hour watches. Any objections to this line of thought? With that he leaves the others to hash out the details. The man lays out his bedroll and sets up a sleeping area, strips out of his traveling clothes and replaces them with wildly elegant ones. He then quickly cast a spell on his dirty clothes and heads off to make a fire. The spell is prestidigitation to clean the clothes.

The wizard stops and looks at the young boy? quizzically. If you've that ability then perhaps you should. I would not rely on that alone however. He pats Gazzer on the shoulder and waits for the others to speak up.

Who are we working for? It's a little vague to be walking into a suspected war zone for them.
Aaron helps the others pick a camp with high ground, as little wind as possible and hopefully a water source. We should stay close, but not not close enough for all of us to be struck by a group spell while we sleep he says. We should pair up our abilities accordingly. However some of us require unbroken rest or we will find our magics useless in the morning. I would like to take first watch so as to concentrate on the study of my magics in the morning. I would suggest men at arms guard us for a middle watch. Three hours per shift? He asks looking to the others. His tone implies he is somewhat used to giving orders, but lacks the edge of a command.

Baptiste, Darian, as you two look to be the most capable with steel why don't you take point and rear guard. I shall remain along side the cart. Hmmm... It would be good to have a scout. Aaron looks all around aggravated with the situation. He wheels his horse around and trots off toward the road. This is just a suggestion. Aaron is a bit of an a@# to strangers. Obviously you should all do whatever you want! lol

Aaron, finished with breakfast heads to the kitchen to pilfer a large cheese cloth which he piles full of items from the breakfast spread. I would recommend you all do the same. It saves tapping into limited supplies. With that he heads to the stables and readies his horse for the trip.

So I see. As no dwarf would compare himself to a filthy gully dwarf I believe you Aaron responds to Baptiste's indignation. With that the man stands and takes his breakfast outside to eat alone. He pauses only to nod slightly to Darian as he exits. Darian etc.: I have in fact served with Sturm Brightblade, but I have never met him however. I was at the High Clerists Tower when he was killed. My companions and I had volunteered to bolster the weak points in the defense rather than ride out with that fool Crownguard. Those were dark days... with that his eyes glass over a bit and he doesn't speak another word about it.

Err... No thanks, dwarf... or whatever you are. Aaron continues to watch the others with no attempt at hiding his distaste and suspicion.
Again the wizard can't help but have his attention drawn to the wretched creature named Bardy. Positively disgusting creatures he mutters to himself. He shakes his head as Bardy dunks his head into the bucket, and finds himself almost hoping that the little monster has suffocated in the snot bucket. Darian/Any interested: Wiston? Aaron replies with a faint hint of skepticism. As in Uth-Wiston? Not Brightblade? or is that an intended lie? [b]So you are a Solamnic then? I spent most of the war fighting with the Knights to hold Solamnia for the the Dark Queens forces.

Aaron chats with the Darian while smoking his pipe and resting by the fire for another hour after the others head off to their rooms. Finally the man retires for the evening. Upon waking and dressing he takes the time necessary to memorize his spells and then heads down to breakfast. He takes a plate and fills it with everything that is out of the gully dwarfs reach. He takes seat by himself and eyes Nishara warily.

Aaron tears his gaze away from the filthy gully dwarf and his "meal," and surveys the others at the table. His eyes linger on each, but only for a moment. What is it that we are looking for? Is there anything of particular interest? he asks finally turning back to the man. He then takes the purse and tucks it away in his belt pouch, leaving its contents unexamined. Side note: Why would a dwarf have four hands??
