Gallows of Madness

Friday morning, 9:00 am–1:00 pm, 2016 • Cascade 4

Let the madness begin! Play one adventure from Gallows of Madness, the Pathfinder Module slated to release this summer. Travel to the rugged Isgeri town of Saringallow, where you'll either investigate the disappearance of the town's apprentices (and its unsettling infestation of wicked vermin!), rise against the menace of some particularly grotesque goblins, or face down the heinous threats lurking in the nearby abandoned Sarini estate. The table's players will have the opportunity to choose which adventure the group plays; or, if the players prefer, the GM will choose randomly. Face the madness, (perhaps!) emerge victorious, and be the heroes the people of Saringallow sorely need!

My husband and I are looking forward to this! Any particular guidelines/rules for character creation we should be using?

Dark Archive

I was assuming that this was going to be PFS? But I could be wrong... if I am, then having rules for creation would be excellent!

Dark Archive

Also, if PFS, are these level 1 only, or 1-2?

Liberty's Edge

Hey, looks like I get in on the fun here. Definitely looking forward to it, and certainly would like to know the character creation rules.

Yep, PFS creation rules! Let me know if you folks have any questions about what that entails. :)

If everyone wants to run 2nd-level characters, the adventures can all accommodate that easily. However, I'd like the entire party to be similarly leveled, so let's go with either all 1st-level characters or all 2nd-level characters. Group's choice.

Speaking of group's choice, there's another decision I'd like to leave to the table! This module consists of three adventures, and which one we play during the slot is entirely up to you.

So, poll: Which adventure would everyone like to play? There is one that takes place wholly within the settlement of Saringallow, one that takes place in the wilderness on Saringallow's outskirts, and one that takes place primarily within the old abandoned Sarini Estate just outside of town.

Or, I can roll for a random adventure once everyone has arrived at the table, and you can let the die decide!

Please let me know your choice, and we'll go with the majority preference. (And if you made it into this game and haven't yet posted, please sound off!)

Liberty's Edge

I'm good with either level, though if my decision is pivotal I would rather level 2.

I'm also good with any of the adventure options, although it might be fun to do a city romp, haven't done one of those yet. So if my decision is pivotal, I'd go with the settlement.

Dark Archive

I would also prefer to play at level 2, and I am fine with a random determination.

If we are not playing PFS characters, what will we have for gold? I'd personally prefer to play PFS, but can understand if the modules are not sanctioned yet.

If PFS, I have my Undine Watersinger (2), or my Ulfen brawler (2), or perhaps a GM credit baby that I could build. Either of the previously played characters would be great for me to play.

Dark Archive

Any of those locations sound like fun to us!
We can be either 1 or 2 easily enough, though it sounds like the table is leaning towards 2. If we are making brand new characters (I.e. not using existing PFS characters), should we be using the standard wealth by level?

Scarab Sages Developer

Your existing PFS characters are welcome, but just know that this won't be for PFS credit.

If you'd prefer to make all-new characters for this game, go for it! In that case, yes, standard wealth by level.

Dark Archive

What's everyone else thinking of playing?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Wish I wasn't working that day. I'd stop by to get a peek at the fun! Hope you all manage to avoid a terrible fate and emerge victorious.

(Pssst... kill one or two for me, Amanda!)

Liberty's Edge

I'll be making a level 2 Cleric. Likely positive channeling.

Dark Archive

Since I'm going to have limited time between now and this, I'll probably just bring my level 2 PFS bloodrager (draconic bloodline). David is thinking he'll make a level 2 battle host occultist, as he's curious about the class.

Scarab Sages Developer

So, if everyone is on board to play the urban adventure, we'll go with that one! However, if you'd rather play another one, or if you'd rather I decide at the table randomly, speak now (or at least as soon as you can) or forever hold your peace!

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Dark Archive

If think that is just fine!
