Pulling Back the Veil: Fall 2015 Releases!

Monday, May 11, 2015

One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to add upcoming products to the website. Often it's the first time that I'm hearing about the latest adventure, realm to explore, or new player options, and now we're going to round up all the announcements to make sure you don't miss out on the latest additions to Pathfinder, coming to you this summer and fall!

Welcome to Kintargo—hope you survive your stay!

This month is going to be a triple feature, as we're going to talk about not one month's releases, but three, starting with August.

August 2015: Hell's Rebels Adventure Path begins!

With Gen Con a wee bit earlier this year than normal, we won't be starting the Adventure Path at the show, which means that the Hell's Rebels Adventure Path will begin in August, starting with "In Hell's Bright Shadow" by Crystal Frasier! With the city of Kintargo under martial law, what starts as a protest turns into a riot, and your hero is at the center of it!

Other August releases include:

September 2015: Hail and Well Met, Traveler!

The feature of this month is one that we've all been waiting for—Inner Sea Races! Filled with details on all of the races common to the Inner Sea, this also gives you juicy tidbits on rarer denizens like aasimar, tieflings, and ooh, do I spy a [[REDACTED]]?!

More September releases include:

October 2015: The Night is Dark, and Full of Terrors!

We like spooky things—turns out, they are a grand thing when writing adventures and designing campaigns, and what could be grander than returning to one of our earliest Varisian stomping grounds? As anybody who's visited Elm Street can attest, dreams can be a dangerous thing, and "The House on Hook Street" promises to make a pleasant afternoon nap into a nightmare in this Pathfinder Module for 6th level adventurers. Written by Brandon Hodge, one of our own key resources when Occult Adventures was first on the drawing board, would-be heroes attempting to survive this adventure may want to stock up on their elixir of choice to stay awake through the night!

Additional releases in October include:

As always, the release dates are subject to change, but you can see the most up-to-date information on the Product Schedule page, or on each individual product page.

Is there any particular release you're excited for? Have a hankering for learning more about the denizens of the Inner Sea with the Inner Sea Races hardcover? Maybe want try to divine the details of Occult Origins? Let us know in the discussion thread!

PS: With PaizoCon just around the corner and adventures to wrap up before then for our GMs, the Pathfinder Society team is busily developing and editing the May releases. The regular PFS blog will return next week! And if you're attending PaizoCon, be sure to attend the Pathfinder Society Q&A on Saturday, May 23 at 2:00 PM!

I remember when Wrath of the Righteous was coming out there was a deluge of demon-related content. There doesn't seem to be whole lot of devil-related supplements coming out besides Hell Unleashed.

They're definitely biased in demons' favor, and I've never quite gotten why. Each race has a major supporter (James Jacobs and F. Wesley Schneider, respectively), but devils and their realm always seem like they're neglected. sigh

I'm just disappointed that we don't seem to be getting a Cheliax book. The Player's Companion wasn't enough. Cheliax is one of the central and most influential nations of the Inner Sea, and we know virtually nothing about it compared to others. Osirion got a book. Irrisen got a book. Andoran is getting a book. I don't get it...

Please be prepared to revisit this thread in a few weeks. AKA: Have patience. ;-)

I know we will get a "Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Cheliax, Reign of Hell" or some such. :-)

But why do we not get any Pathfinder Cards announcements beyond june?
Is the line cancelled or will it be redesigned and get a price increase?

And on that note: Will future Pawn boxes be $44.99 or stay at $39.99?

Thank you for your time and patience.

Here is to hoping we get a NPC Codex 2 with the Base, Hybrid, and Occult classes.

That's more than twice as many classes as the first NPC codex. I'd expect, at most, APG, UC, and UM, with others being done in future installments.

Scarab Sages

Look, it's very simple numerology. There are (including this year's announced releases:

4 Bestiaries
4 Ultimate books
4 Coreish books (CRB, GM Guide, Strategy Guide, Unchained)
3 Advanced books
3 Inner Sea books
2 Codices
2 Adventures books

Since two of the forthcoming releases are Inner Sea and Adventures related, that means that we're either getting an Advanced book or a new Codex in November. And since Advanced books tend to have a bunch of new classes and the July release is a book with lots of classes, by elimination that means a new Codex is the most likely release, especially since the previous two codices were also the last release of the year.

Boom. It's science.

The only question is what sort of Codex?

A codex of previews for future hardcovers ;-)

I hope beyond hope that a Bestiary 5 shall appear.

Seconded on Half-erinyes: I'd like a Devils: Revisited and more info/NPCs/cults to do with the "not just Asmodeus" side of things...

Plus an Infernal Obedience Feat?

To add onto the excitement and joy of the upcoming Hell's Rebels Adventure Path, why not go see a live theater show.

A Company of Warriors presents:

Night of Ashes
A prequel to Hell's Rebels

at the Winningstad Theater in Portland, Oregon
coming Thanksgiving Weekend, 2015.

from the producer of "Burnt Offerings, the stage play" and "The Black Mask, a tale of Absalom"

It is the Bestiary 5 - it has been announced on Paizo Con!

And next year "Ultimate Intrigue"...

- Pathfinder Player Companion: Heroes of the Streets (now September)

September

+ Pathfinder Modules: Feast of Dust (was July)

October
- Pathfinder Pawns: Giantslayer Adventure Path (now Sept. 30)

The product release estimates Liz linked in the OP is similar to what I was looking for, but it didn't show the PFS Scenarios that are being released in upcoming months. Is there such a list? I wanted to see what scenarios are being released leading up to ORCCon 2016.

You should be able to see all upcoming PFS Scenario releases here. We're now including those products in our product recap blogs, also :)

That seems to only show the scenarios that are already released, not what are upcoming that would be available December, January or February. Thank you, though.

Quick question:
Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Class Deck: Druid

Slated for an October release. Checking my Subscription page, it now lists that it will ship early December.

I have no problem with there being a delay. I'm just wondering if I had missed a notification that it was being delayed.

Checking my Subscription list, I note that upcoming class decks (Druid/December, Barbarian & Oracle/January, and Alchemist/February). With the Inquisitor (announced; April 2016) I am curious if there will be another slippage, and where I would go to see.

Heya, to keep up to date on the most accurate release information, the Product Schedule page and new shipping release threads posted by our Customer Service team in the Customer Service forum have the most current information. We don't generally do notification emails to subscribers about product schedule changes because of the volume of messages it would generate (with the caveat that we do endeavor to alert subscribers of months where there's a Base Set [for ACG subscribers] or a double month [for AP subscribers).

The Druid Class Deck was delayed because of shipping issues (being timed just outside of the window necessary for our subscription run). However, we anticipate the rest of the releases to follow a monthly schedule. Your post alerted me that we hadn't put in the the most recent release data: Oracle should be February, Alchemist in March, and Inquisitor in April. Your "My Subscriptions" page should now be reflecting this information.
