I all over the Flip-Mat Classics line. Those cannot come out fast enough.
Agreed! I got a couple of them (like prison) while they were still regular, but I still need a couple. I will most likely buy at least half of them, and I am keeping fingers and toes crossed some of the other classics will be added too!

Gulp. There's an Occult Bestiary?
Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in.
Also: So excited for the Distant Shores Gazetteer!

Yes please. This is the one I want the most -- was surprised it wasn't in the first wave.

First of all: lots of cool stuff!
This is great, but I'm really curious about AP#100 is November. Is it going to something special and what can we expect?
-Skeld
Methinks there was some speculation going on in either the general AP forums or in the Hell's Rebel AP forums; not sure, though.
Ruyan.
[EDIT:]Gaaaah, ninja'ed by... well, who else?

I know that some of the previous maps were intentionally designed to mesh with each other. Any chance of a heads-up letting us know if the slums quarter flip mat &/or slum quarter alleys will mesh with any of the previous flip-mats such as City Streets, Red Light District, etc.?
That information is usually provided in the product description if the maps link up or not.

No bestiary 5... bummer and bye.
Cia next year.
Between 2010 and 2014, the last hardcover of the year was released in October twice, November once, and December twice. Now, I'm not saying that means there will or won't be a Bestiary 5—or any other book—this year; I'm merely offering some historical perspective.
MaxAstro |
I was much more excited about Hell's Rebels when I thought it was an evil AP.
Reading the description, however, I see that is not the case, and as I am fairly burnt out on traditional good vs evil campaigns I think this will be another AP (counting Giantslayer) that I will be skipping. :(
Some other releases look very exciting, however - Occult Bestiary FTW. Also Distant Shores. SO excited for Distant Shores.
Kalindlara Contributor |
I wasn't that excited about Giantslayer, although I'll still be picking it up once the money's there - full collection and all.
I'm more excited for Hell's Rebels than I've been for any AP since Shattered Star (which was kind of disappointing, personally). I love Cheliax, and I'm really hoping we finally get some decent info on one of the central nations of the Inner Sea.

threads? I made two threads, and they weren't about that.
There are more than 10.000 threads/topics and whatever on this forum, i'm maybe active in 7. I you really can't handle that, its more about you.
And i'll still buy the AP's, just don't want to post another year in the wish topic.

I thought it was always october? Good to know.
Anyway, i'm always hyped for paizo bestiaries (the long ones, not the occult/inner sea ones) so i'm afraid to get my hopes up too high, only to see NPC CODEX (my most disliked book of paizo ever) take it's spot in the end :-p
And with Occult Bestiary on that list, there is little hope for another bestiary that same year.
So maybe next year, the years fly over anyway, it's almost two years ago that bestiary 4 was announced, the years went by fast.

Just as a rule of thumb, if they're coming out within a few months of one another, and they have similar names (e.g. Slum Quarter and Slum Quarter Alleys) they usually link up.

I don't get it. Did you dislike the Monster Codex too? If so, why? If not, why the hate for NPC's?
1) I really dislike humans.
2) I really dislike humans.3) It takes the spot of a bestiary.
4) No I don't hate/dislike the Monster Codex, but rather see Bestiary.
5) I really disike humans.
So there, that's why idon't like the NPC codex, I think 1 of them is enough ,all humans are alike anyway, rather create more Monster Codex after bestiary 5,6 and 7.
Cuuniyevo |
1) I really dislike humans.
Fair enough but I thought there were plenty of the other core races represented. 118 of the characters presented within are Human, out of 321 total characters. It is definitely heavy on the humans, but considering it's specifically for the Inner Sea, I know why they did it that way. Maybe next time they'll put out an NPC Codex specifically for non-core races and everyone would be happy. =]

I don't care for Elves, Orcs, Dwarves and which other overused, D&D-taken core races I forget?
I really dislike Half-things like tieflings, half-elves, half-ogres and half-orcs more than humans, those are for me the most annoying creatures in existence, I'd rather see 50 robots in bestiary 5 than one more half-race, for me those are just cheap, like creating a half-minotaur, half-medusa while you have more than 1000 mythological/cryptid/fantasy story/fairytale/folklore/horror movie and what not to choose from, why on earth would you waste time on cheapness.
I'm very happy that unlike D&D, Pathfinder never put those overused humans and races into the bestiary, where they don't belong.

I remember when Wrath of the Righteous was coming out there was a deluge of demon-related content. There doesn't seem to be whole lot of devil-related supplements coming out besides Hell Unleashed.
They're definitely biased in demons' favor, and I've never quite gotten why. Each race has a major supporter (James Jacobs and F. Wesley Schneider, respectively), but devils and their realm always seem like they're neglected. sigh
I'm just disappointed that we don't seem to be getting a Cheliax book. The Player's Companion wasn't enough. Cheliax is one of the central and most influential nations of the Inner Sea, and we know virtually nothing about it compared to others. Osirion got a book. Irrisen got a book. Andoran is getting a book. I don't get it...

Vic... Erik... please... do something :-)
This is a thread about Paizo releases, and the Iconic Heroes aren't technically Paizo products, they're Wizkids'

I feel just the opposite -- I'd be glad for anything but another Bestiary as the hard cover. I do not need another book of questionable monsters like "Oh My God It's Big!", "More Lovecraft Stuff" and "Things With Long Names And One Leg/Body Part." Another Monster Codex? A hard cover book on NPCs or even Longswords Unchained would be better for me than a book half or more full of monsters that I might use once, if that often. :)

Or an advanced NPC Codex (with stat blocks for heroic level NPC''s with ARCHETYPES). :D

Maybe Paizo will announce a Devil's Revisited either this year or next (I would certainly wuv some devil-specific half-fiend templates - mmm, half-erinyes, YUM). :D
Also, some of the Devils in Wayfinder getting official lookovers / stat blocks would be really cool (I know my PC"s would love to fight a Hellforge Devil or two)! ;)

I think since we're getting the Hell's Rebels Adventure Path the chances are fairly good that you'll probably get your wish oh ye Swashbuckler of finesse and capering. ^_~

Ow, my world does have humans (mostly as cattle and easy to beat food, not as powerful legends and heroes, Dwarves and normal elves pretty much the same.
All that overused stuff that humans grow out to be heroes and legends is overdone anyway. The only thing my worlds don't have is Half-stuff, interbreeding is not possible, for the sake of that every race can interbreed then and then you have more of those not-original races i really dislike. Cambion being the only one, as Succubi and Incubi live for that stuff, but cambions aren't a race.
I'm not a fan of the D&D races, i'm a fan of paizo's Bestiary 2, 3 and 4 races such as Kitsune and Changelings (which I don't see as half-lings).

That.
When there's news about the other Iconics Heroes sets, it'll almost certainly come in the form of one of Erik's Friday minis blogs.
(Though I will point out that the Tuesday PACG blogs have shown off some Iconic Heroes promo cards that aren't in sets 1 through 3...)
Thanks Vic. Sorry to use you a little to put a bit of friendly pressure on our dear friend Erik :-)
