Ruby, Helpful Wanderer
|
"There's... SOMETHING THERE!" Ruby exclaims, just as a wave of some kind of magic starts trying to tinker with her mind.
Will Save!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 +2 if vs Fear!
Ruby, Helpful Wanderer
|
:O What a save to have made! Initiative?
I've had some bad ideas, but THAT ONE takes the cake! "I think the Div is out, I just experienced some mind magic here!" she shouts, backing away from the cloud.
Findlefarb
|
Findlefarb rubs his chin. "Then we'll need stronger stuff," he claims, rummaging in his pack as he mutters oddly to himself.
"Attack chicken, go!" He pulls his chicken from his pack, and it rushes into the mist.

Ruby is right. It is time for initiative. ((except four of you haven't put your initiative bonuses on the slide))
nitiatives:
Huong Chan: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Findlefarb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Ruby: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Skurge: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Josheb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Dr Watson: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Div: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Everyone but Skurge goes before the div - which you can't see yet.
Ruby, Helpful Wanderer
|
Ruby springs into action and closes the gap with Skurge. Jumping a little, she slaps him square between the shoulders. "It isn't much yet, but this'll help!" There seems to be a faint, shimmering, blue projection of the world in Skurge's vision, showing things as they will be about a half second into the future.
Move or 5ft step as needed to reach Skurge, Standard for Diviner's Fortune for +1 to d20 rolls for the next round.
Dr. John H. Watson

Ruby is right. It is time for initiative. ((except four of you haven't put your initiative bonuses on the slide))
Sorry about that, I must have missed the instruction to do that.
Regarding the cloud: Shouldn't it be way bigger?
Regarding Initiative: Is Findlefarb sending his chicken in his first round action?
Dr. John H. Watson
|
Dr. Watson moves a few steps forward, ready to defend himself with his rapier. move, full defense
Does the smoke already start to disappear again? It only lasts one round, right? Or did I misunderstand?
Dr. John H. Watson
|
Yeah, Josheb isn't in this adventure, but Djahan Ruuh is. He even has the same initiative bonus, so he can take Josheb's initiative roll.
Also, it looks like Djahan Ruuh is next to act!
Djahan Ruuh
|
Djahan readies a 5 ft step and a strike in case something comes near him that is hostile.
MW Cold Iron Longsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 131d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Findlefarb
|
Findlefarb scowls. "Oh, now this will never do," he complains. "Chicken, return!" he calls out, and the chicken winks out of existence.
He tosses out a juggling club towards the mask, where it slides impossibly underneath it to lift in the air to carry it back towards him. "What do you think?" he asks. " Should someone put the mask on? What if I stuck it on my rear? Would it possess my bum?"
Drop concentration on Silent Image, cast Mage Hand on my club (gotta be on a non-magical item), use it to try to fetch the mask and add it toto my juggling.
Ruby, Helpful Wanderer
|
Ruby hustles over to Djahan and pokes him firmly in the thigh. "Now it's your turn!" she declares. Like Skurge before him, a faint, shimmering, blue projection of the world gently comes into view, showing things as they will be about a half second into the future.
Unsure where on the map our friend is, but it is only so big! Diviner's Fortune on Djahan, +1 insight bonus to basically all d20 rolls.
Dr. John H. Watson
|
Dr. Watson moves around a bit. (see map)
If her runs into something invisible he tries to stab it with his rapier. If not, he attacks the square west of his final location. (marked with an orange lightning bolt, see map)

Piercing: 1d6 ⇒ 1
50% miss chance, high hits: 1d100 ⇒ 68
Dr. John H. Watson
|
"Hey, I ran into something invisible! Over here!"
@phaeton_nz: Could you mark the square on the map? And of course Watson has to stop his movement, please move him to the respective square, too. Thank you!
Djahan Ruuh
|
”Good Dr. Watson! If someone else notices something then tell me!! Because I can’t just strike at thin air!“ he says.
Djahan moves and strikes.
MW Cold Iron Longsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Miss chance, GM decide up or down : 1d100 ⇒ 95
Please move my icon as I don’t know the square.
Skurge 41-1
|
Undelay to move and attack the invisible opponent.(please move my token)

Dr. John H. Watson
|
Fortitude: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 :-D
"Ouch! You will pay for that!"
Knowledge to identify: 1d20 ⇒ 1 +7 for arcana or local, +3 for others
Dr. Watson 5-foot-steps into a flanking position and thrusts his rapier at the monster.
Rapier, flanking: 1d20 + 4 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 1 + 2 = 11
Piercing: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Djahan Ruuh
|
”Finally!“ he shouts and smites the creature.
Swift action smite evil.
Djahan moves and strikes this evil foe.
MW Cold Iron Longsword, smite +4: 1d20 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 6 = 211d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8
Findlefarb
|
Adding the mask into his juggling routine, Findlefarb quips, "I guess that means it's clean? Let's get this back to the shop."
He holds everything back safely and packs his clubs.
Ruby, Helpful Wanderer
|
”Yay! Pathfinders do it again!” Ruby cheers, throwing both hands in the air. Whether through fate or Findlefarb’s skill, one of her hands narrowly misses colliding with the juggled mask, which would have surely sent it careening down into the alley below.
”We’ve got one more job left, right? Let’s get it done then go back to the shop! Unless it’s on the way. But not like a detour on the way, then it’s more like ‘on the way’ instead of on the way, ok?” The Halfling woman becomes harder to understand as she starts walking in the most convenient direction, not even turning her head over her shoulder or increasing her volume as she wanders off.
Dr. John H. Watson
|
"Wait, I need to heal myself first. That was a nasty bite..."
He pulls out an extract and drinks it.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
That's just enough to bring him back to full HP.

The last of Murqual’s tasks involves paying for an enchanted mirror, which is currently in the possession of Madame Jelaris.
Located in the shadow of Nethys’s temple, this higher end shop emanates scents of perfumes, medicines, and the dusky tang of alchemical experiments from behind a beaded doorway. The front of the store has shelves for the casual shopper, with scented oils and colognes in faceted bottles on delicate shelves. Further back, more solid looking containers under locked glass offer alchemical wares of the more adventurous and martial varieties. A marble counter blocks off the very back of the shop, where a bell sits beside an alembic bubbling away with a cerulean liquid. Behind the counter, another beaded curtain leads deeper.
There is someone here minding the store.
Djahan Ruuh
|
Djahan also nods at Findlefarb and Ruby and bows formally.
"We would appreciate seeing her." he says.
Dr. John H. Watson
|
Dr. Watson raises an eyebrow. "Well, business, of course. You know, the buying and selling of items..."
Ruby, Helpful Wanderer
|
Twirling around the shop while touching what must be all of the fragile items as possible from her height, Ruby sings quietly to herself. "Mirror mirror, on the wall, who is the most enchanted of them all?"
Ruby, Helpful Wanderer
|
Ruby jumps a bit as she is addressed, called from the wonderland inside her head by the shopkeeper. The start causes a piece of decorative glass to wobble precariously, but, fortunately for the Halfling, it decides to right itself without incident.
"Murqual sent us to buy a mirror from you, silly! I even sang a song about it, and I'm the most enchanting of them all! What? People are saying it, I heard them!"
phaeton_nz

Oh. The mirror. Wait one moment please
Madame Jelaris is a stocky, handsome, and fashionable Chelish woman in her later years. She looks you over with mild amusement. Honestly, I set a high price for Palhuna because I didn’t especially want to sell and thought he’d never pay it, but if he’s found a way around that and you’re willing... well, who am I to refuse? So, how did you want to split the twenty years between you?
