Thanks, Smiles-a-lot! :) I believe the char sheet template was given to us in another PF2e game by Dorian Grey. I can remove my details and leave the unfilled stat sheet for you to use. I will post a link to the sheet (with html coding included) once I'm done.

That is very nice of you. Thanks!

You're welcome. I hope this helps. :) (p.s. If you don't have any spells, you can just delete that section of the template. I just left it in in case you do.)

Got it. Thanks again.

You're very kind, Dorian. I'm looking forward to seeing the stats of your Halfling Bard. :)

He is still developing in my head, but the basics will be bard, mostly going with Diplomacy, Thievery, and Performance as his increasing skills, I think.

I am torn between bard and rogue (as I have yet to play either), but I really, really like spells too much to go rogue. He will be played as a swashbuckler/rogue type.

And, I am happy to see that the character sheet seems to be working for folks!

There is a lot of Conditions, Abilities, Actions in PF2e, so having clear links and bold does help the DM.

Thanks!

So, I may have just did a thang...lol.

Adroit Manipulation is an Uncommon Feat, you'll need to pick a Common Halfling Feat.

Here is the beginning crunch for Mahuffma's character. I would have attached it as a link, but I haven't learned to do that yet. Also, I need to clean it up a bit and make purchases.

If this is your first foray into 2e, I'd recommend sticking to Core.

Well, you see what happen wuz....

I will choose another....*tears welling*

Halfling Luck

This does make for good rp chances!

Correct. In an effort to create better group cohesion, we'll develop backstory in a more collaborative way.

Cool, then sometime later today I'll post crunch for one or two options.

Since the basis here is mostly sticking with the core rulebook, how do you feel about the Ancient Elf heritage?

DG: Since your Sébastien is leaning toward entertainer and luck, then perhaps Neria, Dreamspeaker, Singer of Songs is a good deity for him? I looked at Paletius, The All-Seeing Eye, and he seems more into scholarly pursuits, cataloguing and disseminating knowledge and I wasn't sure that's where you're heading with your Bard Maestro!

Well good early morning for you, Ariarh....lol.

Nice find! I was actually thinking that if he was bending down to tie his shoes, then the spear trap would fly harmlessly over his head from his Halflings Luck.

But since he probably doesn't wear shoes (being a Halfling ), your idea seems more stable and a bit for reliable.

Not having shoes hurts.

djdust, I've changed Elry's halfling feat to Halfling Luck, too. I was tossing up between two options and decided it's a better fit. I hope that's okay. :)

Finally found the perfect image for Elry: Here

Good Morning! I was up earlier than usual. Some halflings do wear boots, if that helps with the sore hairy feet. ;) (I read that somewhere as I was learning more about Halflings.)

Aww, that's sweet, Smiles-a-lot. :) I like your human monk, Valkor. I enjoyed reading his description/personality. It gave a great visual/sense of him.

Our initial duty as responsible Halflings is to find a genie in a bottle to wish for our company to be Halflings.

Probably start at the local bottle distribution center in town....

Gonna want to stop by the shoe store on our way though....

Or we could all hang out in the city district of Duskgate, where there's a halfling owned pub, 'Marigold Pub', and drink our cares away. haha. Perhaps sing a song or two.

The village of Pinegate could be best for purchasing some good adventuring shoes. ;)

If you look beneath the 'submit post' button, you'll see a little hidden menu that states 'hot to format your text'. It'll show you how to make text bold, italicized, ooc, or how to include a hyperlink, etc.

It is flavorful feats like that which make the ancestry paragon option appealing.

Psst...actually hoping for Free Archetype, so can take Acrobatic Dedication to turn my Bard into a Swashbuckler with spells...hehe

But definitely agree that most Ancestry have really cool Feats.

I have a Goblin Wizard (EC) and those Ancestry Feats are so fun and hilarious.

My home group just started SoT. I am playing a Grippli Alchemist. Those Ancestry Feats will be sweet for bombing...lol.

djdust: Would a cleric be able to speak and read Celestial in PF2e? I couldn't find a definitive answer to this in my searches. Celestial is considered an Uncommon Language in 2e, so I wasn't sure if Elry could pick it up as one of her languages during her theological studies (she's trained in Religion). Or does she have to be at Expert level to learn/know/understand Celestial? Thanks! :)

Goblin’s have some of the most flavorful… I love the idea of “goblin song” very flavorful, nice RP opportunities, with a nice little debuff too.

As I make my first foray into Pathfinder 2e with a halfling, I'm going to submit what I think is the most obvious character possible--a Rogue with the Thief Racket!

My basic character concept is a former halfling slave who escaped to the big city of Darkwater Crossing, and has worked as a guard for a halfling-only business (that specializes in working with former slaves). I view him as a fighter for the rights of halflings and extremely suspicious of and prejudiced against tall folk. I also want to make him an unnervingly intimidating little guy. If he ends up in an all-halfling party, he'd be pretty happy; in a mixed group, he'll definitely be trying to one-up the other martial-focused tall folk.

Here's what I put together on Pathbuilder. If there's interest, I'd be happy to create an alias with a statblock also.

You can choose Celestial as a language learned from the Multilingual Feat.

Shemar looks good so far!

I had a draconic bloodline sorcerer in my 1e IRL game who turned out to be the primary damage dealer, like totally annihilated combats. I'd be interested to see how one plays out in 2e.

I’m interested to see how it plays too. From what I can tell from the boards it sounds fun but I wish it had more skills.

We had one in our AoA game. And in my EC game.

I can give you spoilers...lol.

I see Shemar as damage dealer. My past few spellcasters all ended up being summoners, and I'd like something a bit different. I'm seeing him as being charismatic, but a bit of a liar...erm... Tall-teller. Like pretending he's from the desert, when he's probably never seen one. Just his ancestors maybe. djdust would need to finalize that one. His personality will hopefully see a lot of growth. It may need it. Lol.

Hello, I'm Doug Davidson and I live in West Virginia. I work for a grocery store. I have been playing D&D since 2007 and I started with 4th edition. I have played Pathfinder 1e and 2e, Starfinder, 4th edition, 3.5, 5th edition and a touch of other D&D games. I took on my first Dming back in February of 2013 and got the experience for the other side. I have dmed all of the above systems except 4th edition and I can say, I wouldn't go back to 4th edition. Anyway, about this game. The world of Nimalea sounds good as I read it, but I'm okay with any setting. Forgotten realms, Glorian, Dark Sun, GreyHawk, it doesn't matter to me, I like any setting. As long as the story is good, as I've played a D&D game or two in the Forgotten realms and I've had a boring scenario when almost all of them are interesting and great. Honestly though, what I really like about this game, Crown of the Kobold King. This game will have a common/iconic species that you fight in dungeons and dragons. Or befriend in dungeons and dragons if some of them are the good guys. Think about all the published games Wizards of the Coast or Paizo. Golems: every once in a while, Giants: every so often, Gelationous cubes: almost never, undead: somewhat common. But kobolds, orcs and goblins, are classic enemies or even allies that are in hundreds or thousands of D&D games. And the name of this module suggests there will be plenty of kobolds. Orcs and goblins, maybe, maybe not, but if I wanted to see thousands of Orcs or even goblins I'd play lord of the rings. I can post once a day, except for the occasional weekends.

Okay, here is some no-background crunch and fluff for an idea for my elf.

Tamron the Wandering Merchant:

Tamron is a wanderer, and until you talk to him you might take him for a nomad. On speaking to him you soon find a charismatic merchant who has the answers to your ailments and problems. He wanders the world at the fringes of cities, plying his trade and then moving on.

He loves people, and regardless of business transacted he's often interested in trading stories with those he meets on his stops. When it's his turn, he tells of the elves' place in this world before the intrusion of different realities, and the rise of many gods. He speaks of it as if he was there, thousands of years ago.

An all halfling party? Can it be done?

If you created the character on Pathbuilder, I can't imagine anything would be wrong with it. It's an excellent app, I recommend it for anyone with an android phone.

I'm trying to give these builds a quick onceover. Again, we can fine tune things after selection. If I've missed you, please speak up.

Are we suppose to submit our character builds and backgrounds yet? I thought we were just suppose to tell you about us for now.

@DoubleGold: Apart from personal blurb, we can submit our character builds. Character backgrounds wait until after game selection.

So it's been a busy weekend 'round here. This is what we've got as far as stated interest and full submissions.

Dorian Grey- Sebastien, male halfling bard
JR Klein- Jasmina Markovich, female human sorcerer (draconic)
Gerard Nisroc-
Grimble the Raven-
Smiles-A-Lot- Valkor Oso, male human monk
Ariarh Kane- Elry Larkwing, female halfling cleric
Tazo- male halfling rogue
PaleDim- Tamron, male elf wizard
Mahuffma- Shemar Dunebright, male human sorcerer (draconic)
Daniel Stewart- Danus, male human ranger
DoubleGold-
Sebecloki-

This list is for my own sanity. Again, if I've missed someone, please alert me! I'm sleep deprived!

Male Human Spirit Instinct Barbarian, seems like we need a front liner and I like playing the melee. Full build later, since it ain't as important.

I am a male in my late 30's, married with 3 kids 1 dog 1 cat. I have been playing TTRPGs since 3e came out, first character being a half-elf druid, it was bad. I was the forever GM for my group of friends through all of 4e, pretty sure I was the only one who actually enjoyed that edition. Then spent 5e and pathfinder mostly as a player. I prefer martial characters to casters sometimes venturing into gish territory. I can commit to postings once a day, I live in PST and often don't post until late in the evening so that has caused some issues in the past.

I should say that I'm not extremely tied down to Tamron's wizard spell school just yet. So he could be adjusted before play starts (say, to transmutation, evocation, whatever). Divination seemed like a good starting point for a merchant who likes advantageous knowledge.

...Gerard Nisroc-...

There seems to be some solid interest and I'm already in a few games.

Bowing out.

Spread the joy, spread the cheer! Game on!
