Drunken Master Concept [sort of Optimization]

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I have no idea when this idea will play out, my next character is a witch. But I need to pose the idea:

I've been watching many kung fu movies lately including, unsurprisingly, Jackie Chan's Legend of the Drunken master. Now drunken boxing is a real thing, but the fantasy element, just makes it more fun. I realized it's my favorite martial arts form (sheer entertainment value, there are more effective styles to be sure.)

...Anyway, I felt the need to build such a character. I cracked open my copy of the complete warrior seeing how viable it was. It wasn't terrible, but the drink like a demon ability was a bad trade- +2str for -2 int AND wis per drink. Gah! (other abilities where alright, certainly flavorful, though the RAW no proficiency with improvised weapons is weird). So I figured an update was in order. To do so I tried to figure out a balanced improvement (specifically to drink like a demon). And then it hit me.

Alchemist. Knowledge alchemy can be used for brewing. Mutagen (+str,-int) is booze. Think about it. In the movie, at least Chan's character worked as an assistant apothecary. That's my idea Alchemist=Drunken Master.

The question is how to build it- I would assume the use of snap kick and superior unarmed strike (my group mixes Pathfinder and 3.5 updating 3.5 as needed.) and, if multiclassing as monk, Kung Fu Genius from The Dragon Compendium.

Thoughts? How would you construct the character single or multi-classed? I'm thinking Monk 4/ Alchemist 16 to get grand mutagen (not getting true mutagen kills me.) Monk 4 plus monk's robe and superior unarmed strike- giving the character the damage of a 13th level monk, and access to 6th level extracts (many of which played off as alcohol as well). Could a straight alchemist pull it off?

No thoughts? I was hoping there would be some interest. Oh well...

I will start by saying, I know very little about the Alchemist.

The only difficulty I have with your idea... standard action to drink.

Drunken Master fixes this problem eventually if I remember right, if not through time(to use), through quantity of fluid consumed.

I personally enjoy the concept of a Street Fighter character and have tried several builds using Arcane, Divine and Psionic... I really don't like the 1st round of combat always spent buffing. Basically the same complaint that the arcane warrior types (gish) have. Other than theme, I'm not certain why Wizard 13 wouldn't be a better choice. *shrug*

Just be a monk who drinks.

Seriously.

I had the same idea a few days ago. A gnome Drunken Master/Alchemist with the Pyromaniac racial trait (for bombs). Profession Bartender (makes the best mixed drinks ever!) It is a tricky build to approach. But the Fast Drinker Feat is a must to down a drink or extract as a free action. I'm going half and half with the two classes.
