Anora was sitting with a face as pale as snow at the sight of ghosts. Though she had been fairly quiet she was now deathly silent. After all Anora had said her parents were muggles, which would mean she had never experienced anything like this... while others might have at least heard of ghosts being real.
"I've heard of you!" Serafina beams at the Fat Friar. "You were a healer in the Middle Ages, weren't you? Very nice to meet you, and thanks for the welcome!"
Of course, ghosts had been seen as creepy since the dawn of time, but there was no substitute for symbols: these ones were everlasting embodiments of the spirit of a Hogwarts House, and the Fat Friar seemed to be the incarnation of joviality.
Ken winces slightly. He should have warned Anora, but he hadn't even thought to do so. Quickly, to cover the gap, he said, "It's one thing to know ghosts are real, quite another to have one fly up to you, er, Baron. Especially one as...impressive looking as you."
Francis is looking at the monk with clear curiosity but does not say anything.
At first.
Then he cannot hold back a question of his own.
"You are that old?
Ever saw a real dragon up close?
Father told me there were dragons all over the place in the middle-ages!"
"Oh yes yes I was! Healing the muggles of the pox you see. Learned how to do so here, at Hogwarts from Helga Hufflepuff herself." The Friar said "I was one of the first students here in Hogwarts itself, came in 992!" He chuckled. "Ah I miss those years... But I am glad to see so many new faces!"
Looking to Francis the Fat Friar shook his head. "No, I was mostly in the muggle world at the time. The poxes was running through them and I had to help. Though... that seemed to be my downfall... or maybe it was my habit of pulling rabbits out of the communion cup... Who knows at this point hmm?"
The baron gave a grim laugh, and it has the feeling that it isn't real. "A fast thinker you. Resourceful." He said before he floating back. "Maybe we have an interesting group this year." The Baron ended with as he moved back to the older years.
"My brother told me a great deal about the Blood Baron." Allusic began when the ghost had left. "He mostly ignores the younger students, but he is good to try and get close to. There is a poltergeist in Hogwarts known as Peeves, and my brother found out that he is terrified of the Blood Baron. So if you get in good with the Baron, then Peeves is more likely to leave you be." She said.
"That's good to know." Sariphn began. "I'm sure the ghosts know everything about this place... Might be worth spending time with them." He suggested. "Though I don't think Anora here will have the stomach for it." He teased.
Anora's cheeks got red as Sariphn teased her. "I've never met a ghost before okay? Hearing about them is one thing, meeting is a whole different thing! What would you do Sariphn if you met a dragon?! You've heard of them yes? But meeting one would be completely different!" Anora pointed out, though she spoke very fast obviously flustered.
