Round 4 Cont.
Lord Sunwalker cleaves another goblin in twain, then moves up to the next foe. (I moved you up to the nearest goblin.)
Round 5
Initiaitive:
Belros Sunwalker: Ace of Spades
MWG: Jack of Spades
Giant: 9 of Clubs
Bizzle: 8 of Hearts
Isagoras: 8 of Clubs
Dwarves: 6 of Clubs
Quresha: 4 of Diamonds
Goblins: 2 of Hearts
Allysen: 2 of Clubs
Lord Belros and MWG then the giant.
Lord Belros Sunwalker
With the blood of the last goblin sprayed about, Lord Belros wastes no time in following up to charge and strike at the next foe.
The giant awaits after that!, he thinks as he swings.
Fighting: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Moves With Grace
Sorry, I'm confused by the map. I thought white-with-black-dots icons were dead goblins, seeing as there's one in front of me, and I killed it some time ago. But now Allysen has a similar image in front of her which was attacking her last time I checked, and I didn't read of anyone killing it. So what's going on? I ask because if Allysen's goblin is dead, I'll target the huge guy.
GM BrOp
The giant like creature stumbles over the natural stone bridge, his wicked, barbed club held high in the air. He brings it down with a mighty swing, but at the last moment you think he closes his eyes, as the club goes sailing more than a meter over everyone's head.
(Club attack with -2 Sweep and -2 Size: 1d8 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 - 2 = -2)
Bizzle, Isagoras, the Quresha are up.
Bizzle the Gargantuan
"Back! Baack!", shouts Bizzle, as his axe slams down into the creature. The size of the foe, however, seems to trouble him, as the axe glances off the giant's torso. "That was a warning!", he roars, readying for another swing.
Attack: 1d10 ⇒ 3
Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Wild!: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Damage!: 2d10 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 Womp-womp.
Possible Raise due to size?: 1d10 ⇒ 2 Still irrelevant.
Isagoras the Light

"Hmmmmm," Isagoras muses, looking about. "It seems we are beset by foes who resist our best efforts," he muses, noting the lack of corpses recently generated.
"Perhaps we must needs double our efforts."
Firing Three Bolts. Going down the line at the goblin facing Quresha, then Belros, then MWG.
It's okay to get startled and be afraid of the dark: 1d10 ⇒ 7
I'll just wait here to swallow your soul and tear you apart: 1d10 ⇒ 3
And I've already started, there ain't no saving your heart: 1d10 ⇒ 4
2 hits, on #1 and #3. Wild die,
This is the day of the dead, this ain't no day in the park: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Damage on Quresha's goblin:
Here I come, here I come, grab your guns and crossbows: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Damage on MWG's goblin:
And run, better run from the skull and crossbones: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10
ACE, MWG's goblin
Now get ready for sorrow, 'Cause it's hell that follows: 1d6 ⇒ 1 = 11.
GM BrOp
Isagaros, although you are allowed to take up to three actions during your turn, each additional action imposes a cumulative -2 penalty on all actions. This means that you would have taken a -4 penalty to all your attack rolls since you attacked three times. If you didn't know that, feel free to "retro" your action and only attack once (which will hit), or take the -4 and perform all 3, but in that case none of your attacks hit.
Isagoras the Light

Hm? I'm using the 3-bolt option of the power. Apologies if I did not make that clear. Description:
Additional Bolts: The character may cast up to 3 bolts by spending a like amount of Power Points. The bolts may be spread among targets as the character chooses.
This is rolled just like fully-automatic weapons fire but without the fullauto penalty—the character rolls a spellcasting die for each bolt and compares each to the Target Number separately.
If the caster is a Wild Card, he also rolls a Wild Die, which may replace any of the casting dice.
GM BrOp
Hm? I'm using the 3-bolt option of the power. Apologies if I did not make that clear. Description:
Hmm, that seems to no longer be the case for the "Adventure Edition". I'll allow it this time, but let's use the new version from now on, please. The text of the power now reads:
Power Points: 1
Range: Smarts ×2
Duration: Instant
Trappings: Fire, ice, light, darkness, colored
bolts, a stream of insects.
Bolt sends damaging bursts of energy, streaks of holy light, or shards of matter toward one’s foes.
There are no Range penalties, but the arcane skill roll is affected by Cover, Illumination, and all other usual penalties.
The damage of the bolt is 2d6, or 3d6 with a raise.
Modifiers
DAMAGE (+2): The bolt causes 3d6 damage (4d6 with a raise).
GM BrOp
Sorry, Isagoras, I also forgot to tell you that from your current position, the first goblin you targeted (the one next to Quresha) has Heavy Cover (-6 on attacks) because he is behind a large column of stone; that's what the dark areas on the map are. Do you want to target the first attack on Lord Sunwalker's goblin instead? No issue with cover there.
GM BrOp
Round 5 cont.
Quresha slashes at the goblin in front of her, but the creature sidesteps the attack and blocks it with its spear.
Bizzle hacks at the giant in front of him, but the creature's hide is simply too tough for the gnome, and his weapons simply bounces off the creature.
Isagoras' magical arrows pierce the goblin Moves with Grace is facing in multiple places, sending it sprawling. The bolt that impacts the one next to Lord Sunwalker hit its target, but only causes the goblin to stagger back. (Goblin is shaken).
Spirit roll to recover from Shaken for Goblin next to Quresha: 1d6 ⇒ 1, failure, remains shaken
Spirit roll to recover from Shaken for Goblin next to Lord Sunwalker: 1d6 ⇒ 3, failure, remains shaken
The two goblins facing Quresha and Lord Sunwalker seem overcome by their wounds and do nothing but wince in pain and try to avoid being killed.
The last goblin facing Allysen turns toward Bizzle, realizing he is the greater threat (and perhaps to get on the giant's good side) thrusts its spear at the gnome, but he easily parries the blow. Spear attack on Bizzle: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Allysen is up!

Spirit Roll to recover from Shaken: 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 2 - 2 = 16
Roll: 1d4 ⇒ 41d6 ⇒ 1
Ace!: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Ace!: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Ace!: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Okay, that's a lot of aces!: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Allysen sees the others coming to her defense and the knowledge that she was not alone bolsters her flagging spirit. With a blood curdling howl she lunges at the goblin attacking Bizzle and tries to sweep him off the edge and into the ravine.
Fight: 6 + 4 - 2 = 8
1d6 ⇒ 61d6 ⇒ 6
D-d-d-double ACE!: 1d6 ⇒ 31d6 ⇒ 4
Damage: 15 or 16 if there was a raise on the attack
1d6 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + (4) = 10
10 + 1d6 + 1d4 ⇒ 10 + (2) + (3) = 15
If there was a raise on the attack: 1d6 ⇒ 1
I'm pretty sure that's going to kill it.
A vicious crack echoes through the cavern as she sends another goblin spinning into the void.
"I'm. Not. Going. To. Die. Here." Her voice is harsh as she grinds out each word through clenched teeth.
GM BrOp
Spirit Roll to recover from Shaken:
Where does the -2 come from?
Round 6
Initiative:
Giant: King of Hearts
Quresha: 10 of Spades
Dwarves: 10 of Clubs
Isagoras: 9 of Clubs
MWG: 7 of Spades
Allysen: 7 of Diamonds
Goblins: 7 of Clubs
Belros Sunwalker: 4 of Hearts
Bizzle: 3 of Diamonds
The giant swings his enormous spiked club at Bizzle, but connects with nothing but air. "Stand still, little man!" he grunts in a guttural tone. Giant Club attack on Bizzle: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Qhresha, Isagoras, MWG, and Allysen are up in posting order.
Quresha Shifa
Seeing that the goblin she had wounded was no longer a threat, Quresha moves around it to stand by Allysen protectively, and calls upon the power of Al'Akbar to heal her wounded companion.
Faith: 1d8 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1 Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Round 6 cont.
Moves With Grace throws her magical shuriken at the giant and hits him square between the eyes, snapping his head back for a second. Instead of toppling, the giant just grins, the missile still stuck in his forehead. "Ouch, that tickles," he chuckles. (Did not beat his Toughness.)
When Qhresha places her hand upon Allysen, she is overcome for a moment with an overwhelming sense of the righteousness of all of her actions as the god's healing magic courses through her. (One Wound is removed from Allysen.)
As Isagoras' magic hits the giant, he stops for a seconds and looks down at his hands. "Have these always been big like this?" he wonders out loud. Giant Smarts roll: 1d4 ⇒ 1 (Giant is Shaken)
BTW, Isagoras, here is the special modifier for "Confusion" in the SWADE rules: AREA OF EFFECT (+2/+3): For +2 points the power affects everyone in a Medium Blast Template. For +3 points the area of effect is increased to a Large Blast Template.
Allysen is up!!
Allysen
Allysen's taken 2 wounds. From what I've read, that means she takes a -2 to all trait rolls. I figured that meant rolls to recover from shaken as well.
Allysen's wounds close up some, but she's still not back to full strength just yet. Seeing two goblins still up, she moves to eliminate them before they can cause trouble, starting with the one next to Quresha.
Fight: 3 - 1 = 2
1d6 ⇒ 31d6 ⇒ 1
Unfortunately, she's still too shaky after her burst of adrenaline to land the hit she needed.
GM BrOp

You are correct. Sorry, still learning the rules as we go.

Round 6 cont.
Finally shaking free of the enchantment, goblins seem to want to protect the giant, although it is unclear whether this is out of loyalty or fear. The goblin facing Belros turns to instead attack Bizzle, forcing him to divide his attention between two opponents. For a second you hold your breath, and the goblin-spear heads straight for the gnome's heart, but he deflects it with the handle of his axe at the last second, causing it to just cut a large tear is his clothes, exposing his leather armor beneath. Goblin attack on Bizzle + 1 Ganging Up: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
The other goblin, now facing two foes instead of one, decides to make a run for it and takes off toward the eastern exit. Allysen and Quresha each get a free attack against the fleeing goblin.
Belros and Bizzle are up!
GM BrOp
Fight: 4-1 I think that's a miss.
1d6;1d6
It is. The goblin's parry is a 5.
Allysen
Allysen's strike is far from true. It's up to Quresha to end it.
Sorry for the lackluster prose. The part of my brain that writes has packed it in for the night.
GM BrOp
Sorry for the lackluster prose. The part of my brain that writes has packed it in for the night.
That's fine. I just realized after all of this time that your Size is -1, which means that you get a +1 attacking all regular-sized creatures, and they get a -1 to attack you.
I was also using older versions of the goblins that didn't list THEIR size as -1. The one's from SWADE rules do.
Quresha Shifa
Seeing that Allysen has mended a little, Quresha lunges after the fleeing goblin, attempting to sweep its legs from under it. Then she reverses the grip on her spear and stabs it into the prone goblin, killing it instantly.
Fighting: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (3) = 9 Raise?: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Lord Belros Sunwalker
Lord Belros pursues his quarry.
The goblin is a fool to turn its back to my blade, he thinks he stabs!
Fighting: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Bizzle the Gargantuan
Bizzle's axe flashes after his deflection. "Everyone's the same size when they're on the ground!", he shouts, before pausing to think about his words. "Or, similar, at least... Aaagh!", he roars as he slams the axe onto the giant's toe.
Attack: 1d10 ⇒ 5
Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Damage: 2d10 ⇒ (3, 8) = 11

Round 6 Cont.
Quresha easily takes down the fleeing goblin with a mighty spear thrust, nearly pinning it to the ground.
Bizzle's axe comes down hard toward the giant's toe, but the creature pulls it away at the last second and there is a jarring clang as the blade bites into the rock, causing a shower of pebbles to fly out.
End of Round 6
Round 7
Initiative:
MWG: King of Spades
Quresha: Queen of Spades
Bizzle: Queen of Clubs
Belros Sunwalker: Jack of Hearts
Giant: Jack of Diamonds
Allysen: Jack of Clubs
Goblins: 7 of Hearts
Isagoras: 5 of Spades
Dwarves: 5 of Diamonds
So MWG, Quresha, Bizzle, and Belros in posting order are up.
Quresha Shifa
Seeing that the goblins had all been dealt with and were no longer a threat, Quresha moves by Bizzle's side to assist with the... whatever that large one was. Hows does it even fit in some of these caverns? Memories of claustrophobic passages flash through her mind as she jabs with her spear at a trunk-thick leg.
Fighting: 1d6 ⇒ 2 Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Lord Belros Sunwalker
Did Belros not hit the goblin? Not a big deal, just wondering.
Lord Belros strikes at the left kneecap of the beast.
Fighting: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
As he swings, he comments:
"Not hard to strike, but it takes heft in the blow to injure this foe. Keep at it!"
GM BrOp
Did Belros not hit the goblin? Not a big deal, just wondering.
Sorry, Belros. I mixed you up with Allysen and thought that the attack was on the fleeing goblin that Quresha killed, which is why I ignored your attack. Yes, you DID hit the other goblin, and inflicted the Shaken condition. I am therefore redirecting your Round 7 attack at that goblin, which is enough to kill him.
Round 6 Redux
Lord Belros' attack is true and slices through the goblin's feeble armor, making a nasty gash on its lower torso. (The goblin is Shaken)
Round 7
Quresha's attack goes wide, but Belros manages to take out the final goblin with a swing of his deadly weapon.
The giant is Size +2, which means you get a +2 to attack him (Allysen gets a +3 since she is Size -1), and he gets a -2 to attack you (and a -3 to attack Allysen). He also has a Parry of 6 (which becomes your target number to hit him) and a Toughness of 11(1), which means you have to do at least 11 points of damage in a single attack in order to hurt him. Yeah, giants are tough.
MWG and Bizzle are up!
Moves With Grace
Again, MWG tries to throw a large shuriken at the large creature :

Wow. Allysen is actually a smaller size than the gnome! Too swole.
With a battle-cry, Bizzle's axe slashes at the giant's shins, but even as he swings, he feels the response of the massive beast slow even further and further. "Wha?", he blurts out, head raised towards the colossal beast.
Fighting: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Wild: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage: 2d10 ⇒ (3, 9) = 12 Just 'nuff.
GM BrOp
The magical shuriken thrown by Moves with Grace hits the giant directly in the eye and buries itself within its skull, destroying his left orbital and gushing ocular fluid over the creature's chest. It chuckles for a moment as it prepares another witty comeback until the brain communicates to the rest of the body that it is dead. The giant's face goes slack and it topples over backward onto the stone bridge and begins to twitch.
Combat over! That was some damage roll, MWG!
GM BrOp
Wow. Allysen is actually a smaller size than the gnome! Too swole.
I bet the half-elf doesn't even lift.
Allysen
Allysen's more into cardio. It's more useful for getting into and out of trouble. :P
As Allysen realizes the fight's over, she begins to shake. the rush from combat flees and leaves her on her knees and gasping for breath as she tries to calm down.
Moves With Grace
MWG doesn't even think about being the one to kill the giant, or how awesome her throw was, she just matter-of-factly says "OK, so how are we going to get the giant off the bridge so we can use it?"
Thanks, GM BrOp, for not trying to Soak that. It's rolls like that that us players live for! :)

No worries. Maybe if the giant had been a Wild Card with an important plot point I would have, but as it was it didn't make sense. Allysen is still down a Wound, FYI.
Lord Belros Sunwalker
Lord Belros turns to Moves With Grace.
"A fine throw, Moves With Grace! And yes, we will need to move this brutish cadaver...Ah, there's Allysen."
The elf lord walks over to Allysen.
"Allysen, do you require assistance? You certainly fought hard enough."
Quresha Shifa
Quresha watches slack-jawed as Moves With Grace one-shots the giant, barely jumping out of the way in time as it collapses. What incredible skill and poise!
She takes a few moments to regain her wits, and remembers that Allysen was still wounded.
"I will intercede for another blessing on your behalf."
Faith to cast Healing: 1d8 ⇒ 5 Wild: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Ace: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Allysen
Though her physical wounds fade, it appears that the young half-elf has some scars that medicine and magic cannot heal easily.
"Th-thanks," she murmurs to Quresha, "I-I thought I was going to die..."
We could just roll the giant off the bridge.
GM BrOp
Quresha's magic completely heals the rest of Allysen's wounds and she immediately feels better.
The corpses of the goblin contain very little of value other than their weapons, which are crudely-shaped spears that might be able to be sold in Saltmarsh. The giant has a small pouch tied to his belt that contains an ax-shaped silver pendant covered with twisting runes. Along the pendant's bottom 'edge', five tiny rings secure silver wedges to the larger pen- dant. Like the large ax shape, these smaller pen- dants are inscribed with mysterious runes. The pendant is too large for most women, and is obviously intended for a male of relatively human size.
As you are studying the treasures you have found, the two dwarves come up hauling the mules, but barely able to control them. "Hey, can someone help us with these?"
Bizzle the Gargantuan
"Ooh! Shiny!", shouts Bizzle as he boots the giant down the gaping chasm. "Is thi-", he begins saying, before leaping to grab the mules, leading them away from the slippery ground of the carnage. "Is this magical? I want to see real magic!", he shouts from around the back.
