Pangea's incredible constitution allowed her to stabilize, even while unconscious. That gave Sittnym a chance to run forward and heal the vanguard. "Try not to get killed again, please?"
Soryn danced about, using his quick motions to distract the beast, even landing a shot with his pistol. Seven of Eleven found his perch, but his aim was off and his shot splashed into the decking beside the feather stalker. Kadef's shot also went wide qas he tried to avoid hitting Sittnym.
The beast bounded forward, slashing out at the healer, but it's leading leg slipped on a pool of Pangea's blood, and Sittnym was able to get out of the way of the clumsy blow.

The feather stalker crashed to the ground, missing the fallen Pangea by inches. Sittnym healed the vanguard of some of her wounds, then sat down, face looking flushed. She was breathing rapidly, her eyelids fluttering as she swiveled her head in jerky motions.

"Agreed, let's all take a quick rest and collect ourselves. That was, intense." Soryn takes a moment to help Sittnym find her center and with Pangea tending her wounds, then notifies the Stewards and Zigvigix that the warehouse is clear.
"Once we're ready, we should head over to the release and finish our relaxation in line. Anyone ever heard of this Cake Machine?"

"Is it some kind of music for a bakery? Ether way we should get going and leave the clean up for others."

DM Bigrin |

Are you resting to recover stamina? Or just pushing on?
As the sounds of fighting dies, and Sittnym collected herself, a voice hailed from the now cracked open door. "StatSec here! Have you dealt with the creature? Is anyone in need of assistance?"
After assuring the officers that the beast was indeed taken care of, they moved in and began securing the area. "The moving truck is right outside. If I could get you to step outside, we can have this place cleared of everything in an hour or so. Thank you for your assistance. I'll let my super know that not all Starfinders are useless. By the way, your friend there looks bad. Should I call an ambulance for her? I've seen battle shock before, and she looks like she's got it bad."
Acquiescing to the request, a hover sled was soon dispatched to pick Sittnyum up and take her to the hospital for recovery and counseling.
The rest of you moved over to the address of Krazy Karl's Kiosk of Kultural Klutter to pick up the copy of SMC's newest album. When you got there, the line was already across the front of the store and down the block. It looked like releasing a hardcopy album in the digital age was actually drawing a LOT of attention. The line looked to be about 6 hours' worth of waiting!
Who is planning on standing in the line? Also, is anyone planning on buying their own copy?

![]() |

"So, apparently this is a legit thing...," Soryn stares and that quickly growing line. "I think I'll grab myself a copy, seems like this could be a sellout item. We're getting one for Zigvigix too, right? Who wants to throw in for his copy?" He then uses his computer to search the infosphere for other SMC music, seeing what the hubbub is about.

Pangea" |

Pangea rests for 10 minutes, recuperating from this craziness and near death experiences.
She grumbles about StatSec arriving a little late: "Nearly were at a point of never needing assistance ever again..."
And she nearly left for the hospital to get counselling too.
But, Krazy Karl's kool Kiosk of Kultural Klutter kannot be avoided, so, she goes to stand in line, and pick up a copy for herself too.
"Hey, if there's such a line, must be good!"

Seems to me that Soryn's 'quick rest' implied stamina recovery, and, if Pangea, who graciously volunteered to be our damage sponge, so desires, then I concur.
Edit: ninja'd by Pangea herself. And Kadef will give a short motivational speech, about keeping our chins up, because even though we've lost two team members, we're almost done. Spend 1 resolve point for look alive, which nets us all +2 Percept & Init for the next hour.
Agree with Seven, leave clean up for someone else.
Kadef's got 55 units. If that's enough, he'll chip in for a copy for Zigvigix.

Ziggy's inability to stand for long periods of time would definitely have left him at a disadvantage here, as the line is a pulsating mass of bodies, each in their own little bubble of obliviousness, boredom, or ecstatic energy. There is, as is always the case in these lines, one guy a little ahead of you who is gushing on and on about SMC trivia and statistics, generally making an ass of himself, but not quite to the point of getting punched in the teeth.
Finally, after about 6 hours of boredom, a harried employee comes out of the kiosk and announces that the music has finally arrived. There is a big cheer from the crowd and everyone presses forward. Several sustain minor injuries in the press of the crowd, including one halfing that was knocked over and stepped on by a shobad with SMC logos shaved into his fur.
Eveeryone must make a DC12 Fort save to avoid becoming fatigued, followed by a DC11 Reflex save to avoid 1d4 ⇒ 4 damage from the press of the near-riot. Ziggy gave you enough money to buy 1 copy of music for historia-7. Everyone also indicateed they would buy a copy (at 50gp) and that they wished to chip in and get Ziggy a copy too. If you don't have the cash, you can always take it out of your mission earnings. In either case, once you have your music, you can give it to Historia-7 and report back to Ziggy.

@Seven of Eleven - sorry i didn't respond directly to that. Yes, Serum of Healing I are so common that it would not be difficult at all to obtain.

Pangea was fortunate. None of the people that had been standing around the Chatty Cathy were willing to testify that the man had done anything but trip and break his fall with his teeth after having been innocently bumped into by Pangea. When fifteen people testified to the investigating StatSec officer to that effect, he walked away, warning Pangea to "be careful not to accidentally knock people over" again.
@Pangeam - I gave you a 10% chance to get away with that, you lucky bastard.
You managed to get out with your copies of the music without any more severe difficulty, though Pangea did get her feet stomped on more than once, and Soryn was totally wiped out afterwards.
You find Ziggy overseeing the moving operations back at the new headquarters for the Exo-Guardians, and let them know that you are on your way to see Historia-7, both to give her the music album, and to report for your next assignment. They are delighted that you have done so well in securing the building for him. They are even more delighted when Soryn presents them with their own copy of the album. Ziggy does a little dance move, awkward due to his injuries, and hums a few bars of the S-pop song that you heard blaring over the speakers at the kiosk.
"You will go far in the Society, I just know it. And I will be there to say 'I knew them where'. That is the expression, isn't it? I knew them where? Seems odd. Sometimes common seems like a language created specifically to cause confusion rather than ease it. At any rate, I have a gift for you in return. We found this crate when moving out some of the old stuff, and the Station Security people said we could have it. It is yours. Use it well, but be careful with the grenades. I'd hate to see you get blown up - I like you!"
Inside the crate was a charge cloak, a set of iridishell armor, and a pair of grenades. There was also a credstick.

Historia-7 gave you a long, unreadable stare as you presented her with the music album on behalf of Zigvigix. She turned it over in her hands a few times, no expression on her face, before saying "Thank you for bringing this to me. I shall enter it into the archives."
"Now, as for your task, I discovered someone recently hacked into Bluerise Tower’s computer systems and stole a large amount of sensitive data from the resident corporations. I wish to be privy to this information. I managed to trace the hacker’s location through many proxies and erased the trail so that station and corporate security should be delayed in their pursuit. This deception will not fool them for long, so you must move quickly to retrieve the data before they can recover it. I will leave you to decide what to do with the hacker afterward, but should it be feasible, I believe that person would be an asset to the Society. My request requires both discretion and speed. Do not accept it if you feel incapable of working within these parameters.”

Happy to have made it out without being apprehended by StatSec, Pangea happily follows what Historia 7 explains.

Then with his usual grin, "I think we can handle discreetly and quickly."

DM Bigrin |

"There is little to go on, other than the backtracked location. Indeed, I am surprised to get this much, given the level of skill the hacker employed to access Bluerise. As for what to bring back, I'll leave that to your discretion...but preferably not a head in a bag this time. I understand that the datajack was corrupted, but the stains took forever to get out of the carpeting."
You each waited for the smile to accompany the obvious joke, but the silence grew strained as you realize that Historia-7 is being completely serious.
---------------
The address given by Historia-7 points you to an apartment block that resembles a cement cube in the midst of a collection of more cement cubes. On Absalom Station, the only place lower on the social scale might be underground in the sewers. Still, the unit you were sent to looks well-kept. The porch has several tomato plants in plastic containers, and not much else. On the porch was a young human man, barely out of childhood, hand-pollinating the tomato plants. The door to the flat was open, revealing a living room packed with bags of potting soil, fertilizer, gardening tools, and various knickknacks.
