Are there any regular games in the McDonough GA area? Or people looking to start one preferably?

Either one. So long as a homebrew doesn't stray too far from the actual core rules. My last group called itself a D&D group but all it actually used was the name.

It sounds like you're fairly close to Fayetteville, so I would check out Treefort Games.
