How far out am I from Skelt?
I'm playing this part pretty loose because I want to get everyone there at the same time (ish). You're taking the same trip that Evril is taking, but I assume that he has a horse, while you're on foot.
Part of the problem that I've done with changing the map is that I've probably f@%%ed up some of the distances, too. It's realistically about 170 miles between Canorate and Skelt. Which even on horseback is like 5 days.
I'll care more about the distances once I have people together, but I definitely don't want to spend 5 in-game days bringing you all to the same place.
So, say, I don't know, 5 hours. We'll reduce it by something even. I'll revise the map to actually include a distance scale sometime this weekend.

I assume he knows I burned lots of things and ran? That would probably be a huge ordeal at the temple.

You're not traveling together, you're ahead of him on the same road.
The burning is a good point, something that I had not considered. While Evril is on his own quest, he is probably keeping his eyes out for you, and it will probably be instinctual for him to want to bring you to justice.
This should provide an even MORE interesting introduction.
And we all know, interesting introductions are the best part!

Every time someone mentions hospitals, I think of that kidney stone. Dunno what was worse, the maddening, crippling pain, or the disturbing, disquieting sensation of that morphine pushing into every individual vein...

Anywho, I second Padawan. the beauty of PBP is that there's no rush. I, for one, am not goin anywhere anytime soon.
I'm with everyone else. If you need to spend time in the hospital, either for yourself or a loved one, spend that time. We don't begrudge you that at all. Here's some well-wishing for you and yours. Hopefully things clear up soon. I'll keep you in my thoughts, for what it's worth.

Since Evril never showed, I'm going to find a replacement. Not really sure how to handle his character in the meantime, though. I don't super love killing characters off, especially when it's because the player is absent, but it would be the best option for the story.
Meh. His character found a burning orphanage and is busy saving / rebuilding it. No need to kill the PC, the player may have had some real life drama come up. My opinion, take it as you will.
Fair enough, works for me. Though I do admit pangs of guilt dropping someone, oftentimes it's really for the best.

And yeah, maybe I'll dispose of Evril in another way. It's just going to be weird since he was Deimos's entire reason for being here.

Ok. I know I was gone again. >< This time it was a vacation. The good news is, I no longer have any more vacations, I have a computer, the building's internet seems to have stabilized, I'm working on schedules with my therapist to keep me organized, and most of my other friends seem healthy and unlikely to go into the hospital for emergency surgery!
In fact, next month my mother is going to the US for almost two months, giving me a lot of time to be lonely and clingy to you all. :)
Point being, I am here. Most likely my scheduling will put me on one post a day minimum to keep me organized, but that'll be better than on again off again.
Apologies again for the yoyoing. I've been trying different meds and not meds and its wrecking havok with sleep and general ability to focus; either I'm sleeping 14 hours a day, or I'm awake but a zombie.
Hopefully that will work out soon.

Re: Your situation. I totally understand. Finding the right medication is hard because it's really not an exact science. What works for someone else won't necessarily work for you, or vice versa, so there's a whole lot of trial and error. It can make an enormous difference, even though trying to find the right dosage sucks. Stick with it!
Yeah, and that's all assuming you don't have a doc that's in the pharamceuticals' pocket and is more interested in suppressing the symptoms than actually curing the condition...
