I guess we are done...:( Was really looking forward to this one too and it seemed like we were off to a good start. Thanks all for giving it a go. Djivan if you return and want to try and restart this send me a message and I will see if I have the time. If anyone sees a spin off or another game opportunity let me know. Thanks.

I don't mind making a post to say we're fishing for a DM who has wanted to run this module and has a ready-made group of players. I'm not quite familiar enough, however, with the DM side of operating a game on here. Is it easy enough to simply make a "DM recruitment" post in our Recruitment tab thread and then have a lucky candidate somehow able to usurp the game, or is there a better way to do it?
And is everyone even interested in going on a brief fishing expedition for a DM? :)

I think it'd probably be better to put such a post on the recruitment forum at large, rather than just our tab. DMs might not look. ^^
And yes, I'm interested!

Hmmm. It almost feels wrong to go get someone to replace the one who took all the effort to set this up. I hate leaving people out of things like this. But if we don't, then that's more people missing out than just the DM. So, with a heavy heart and all due gratitude and respect to Djivan, I agree with finding a DM. No idea what plans and plots will be lost in the transition though, and that's probably what saddens me most.

I am not inclined to take this and let someone else run with it. As a DM of another PBP I would hate to take the this and steal it incase Djivan does return and wants to try and restart it.
Finding the dedicated group is the hard part of any PBP, perhaps we can start something new as a group with new characters. We are a pretty creative group and could easily make that work. Either find a new DM, or one of us take on the DM roll.
I have been tossing about the idea of a Gothic horror (think Ravenloft with out the demi plane of dread) campaign set in Sandpoint (from Rise of the Runelords) that I might consider running. Though I wouldn't be able to start anything official until April. ( I am moving from Kentucky to Nebraska and Real Life is pretty hectic for the next several weeks.) If you four are interested we could start a discussion on characters and roles and put together a party that all know each other and have history...could make for an excellent story.
Let me also say I am in the CONSIDERING realm, not sure if I want to COMMIT to anything yet. I am curious what you all think.

I have the campaign idea already, I was going to run it for my real life group but since I am moving we haven't been able to get it off the ground. It is heavily story based, though there will be lots of combat and treasure collecting, I am more interested in the characters development with each other, and with the NPC's. It starts with the Ps'd being asked to help a man who is a close benefactor to them locate a meteorite that has fallen out of the sky, in a world where the threat of Vampires, Werewolves, and other undead horrors plague the heart of everyone. Superstitions are high, and everyone bars their door at night. The Varisian gypsies are feared for their "connections" to dark masters.
I am using Varisisa, but altering it to fit my "ravenloft" idea. Characters would be from Magnimar and connected to a powerful creepy/eccentric Mage. We would work out the connections during character creation. In my home group, we had one who was his apprentice, one whose dwarven clan owed him a favor, one who was in business with him, and one who was an orphan that the old man sponsored and treated as a ward. If we do this I will suggest ways to include him in your backgrounds, based on what you come up with and we will agree on a cool way for you to know him and want to help him.
Despite the campaign starting in Magnimar, the bulk of it will take place in Sandpoint and I will be using that town as is while adding in several new NPC's and locations to interact with that fit the needs of the campaigning story arc.
If all of us are interested I will start at campaign thread that we can use to discuss the characters and see if we can make this work. It still wouldn't actually kick off until after Easter when I am back at school and have time to work on it and make it playable on the boards.

Hey guys. Where to start...
My sincere apologies for the sudden death. A group as cool as ours didn't deserve such an end. You put a lot of time in your character stories, and it's a shame they didn't get any further into this adventure. I'm very sorry for this and I feel really bad about it.
What happened? I told from the start I had a demanding job... It went a little gung-ho. First I let go of my hobbies (my RL campaign had a sudden death as well), even spending time with friends became rare. Then I started to realise it wasn't worth all that and I quit the job about a month ago. Far better for my health and general well-being. I've done some travelling and spent some time with friends.
I have no idea what to do with this campaign (or who would be around), I just had to apologise. Let me know who if you is out there and we'll see it from there.

OHMIGOD. Inactive campaigns apparently don't register new messages! On a random whim I think to check my inactives, and what do I see? MOVEMENT on the horizon!
Don't let it all grind you down, Djivan. I've had my share of jobs that monopolize my time, and I agree: they're not worth it.
If the group's still around, or if you can raise them on a PM or whatnot, them by all means let me know!
Welcome back, by the way.
