Hammas |

What's down the east tunnel? That's where Hammas was headed as there didn't seem to be enough room for everyone in the west.

![]() |

Sorry, just got myself hired at a bankruptcy firm, relocating today, through monday

![]() |

To the east, you notice a nasty dug out cavern, certainly large enough to fir three or four medium sized creatures. It appears empty, but the stench informs you the room is in use. Your keen nose picks up the scent of the woman you had been chasing, tinged with death and the mild earthy tones of mushroom, or a fungus of some sort. Too bad it doesn't smell like truffle!

Hammas |

Hammas carefully edges forward, all senses alert, with a tight grip on her spear, ready to attack anything that moves. Stealth moving forward until I can see the entire room, or anything that would cause her to pause.

Arizhel |

Nareth, you are only 15 feet from either Hammas or Inuki, so no time at all.
Hammas, there is nothing to be found in the room at present.
In order to make things run a little faster with my new un-improved working 16 hours a day schedule, I am turning all dice over to you all.

Nareths chain violently rips one of the two surprised mites in half as Inuki charges front of him to slightly less effect, missing narrowly.

![]() |

The startled mite is reduced to a fine red mist as Roga's Earthbreaker flies through the space formerly occupied by the tiny, ugly fey.

![]() |

Jutmon safely descends the rope into the mites' lair.
Poor mites have less than 5 hp :(
The crude tunnels lead in almost all directions, it is clear that there are more than two mites to be found in this dank hole. Tracks indicate that the passages are commonly travelled, and your past experience tells you the mites in this region are most active at night.

![]() |

Down the hall (using the term loosely) you hear sounds of high pitched howls. Someone is either having a lot of fun, or someone is in a lot of pain. Perhaps both.

![]() |

Are you taking any attempt to make yourselves less noticeable, or just marching in all clanking and loud?

![]() |

At the end of the earthen hall, you come across a group of well distracted mites. They are huddled in a mass, their backs towards the group. In the center, you spy another familiar fey. The even smaller than a mite grig is gagged and tied. The mite in the center in pulling off her insectile legs one by one to watch them twitch and dance. "You make us dance! No! We make you dance. Piece by piece you dance for us to laugh." Peals of laughter burst from the mites as the ring leader pulls yet another leg from the poor grig.
5 mites

![]() |

The beasts are otherwise distracted, the surprise round is yours.
The magic missile launched by the young wizard careens unerringly through the air, striking the ringleader square between the shoulder blades, dropping him instantly and ending his evil laughter.
Simultaneously, Roga strides in swinging his massive hammer in a powerful overhand blow directly into the head of on of the mites, crushing its skull like an over-ripened mellon.

Inuki Tailspinner |

Inuki charges in with dagger flashing and teeth bared.
Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Damage 1d4 ⇒ 2
If I understand right I get my bite (natural attack) at -5 when using a weapon. Is that right?

![]() |

Init. Mites!: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
And everyone acts in round 1 prior to the mites. Continue the slaughter!

Inuki Tailspinner |

Inuki strikes out with a savage fury.
Attack cold iron dagger 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Crit confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Attack Bite1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
1d4 ⇒ 2
Wow, that's a pretty good dagger strike.

![]() |

Two of the Mites die instantly, Inuki's dagger expertly gutting one of the fowl creatures, who mis-steps and trips on his own intestines, accidentally impaling himself by the neck onto a stalagmite. The last remaining mite glances about in horror, and moves with a speed you would have deemed impossible for one so small, screaming as he dashes down the earthen hallway, and around a blind corner.
The grig appears near death.

Inuki Tailspinner |

Inuki sings a healing song for the grig.

The grig wakens, and smiles up at you. "Thank you good , , , fox. I am in your debt. There aren't many more, but their leader is fearsome indeed. I would like a little vengeance, and I am moderately capable. They only got the best of me because of their numbers... I hope."

![]() |

"It is a mite, like the rest, guards his treasure well. Lots of shiny things, loves his hair best though. Gross. Anyhow, I lead, you follow!"
Should you follow, the trail is not overly complex, just around a blind corner recently visited by a screaming mite, and a steep decline into a vast (for mites) cavern (30x30, 10 foot ceiling).
An especially offensive odor emanates from within. At the far end, upon a throne set between two ensconced torches guttering their thick, oily, black smoke, you spy a corpulent mite. It would be fat for a goblin, for a mite, it is all but unbelievable. There are hoses and tubes hooked to the disgusting creature, filtering or distilling his bodily fluids. Vases surround the figure, each ripe with various colored secretions. The cause of the odor is becoming much less a mystery as each second of gazing across the throne room passes.

Pale and still, Nareth feels his anger rising You really are a sick sadistic bastard. His face changes from his normal passive calculation to one that seethes of hatred. He looks at his hand and the scars reaching up, then makes a fist and looks at the wall. He stares at it for a moment, then lets his hand go limp and sighs No, stay calm he takes a breath and slides down the wall, his face changing to normal again

![]() |

You notice the shadow of the mite twitching behind the larger abomination. Perhaps it has moved behind, or perhaps it has been sat upon by the obese fey.
Initiatives. Running down the hall does not help stealth especially when the other is forewarned.
