From the journal, here is the basic story you are able to piece together
The NeMoren Family were Pirates and smugglers and for at least 5 or 6 generations they were the “go-to” people to move goods anywhere in the Inner sea. This, of course made them rather wealthy and both liked and despised by the Pirate lords.
Kragor NeMoren set up a base of operations on this island and built this vault, which was intended as an underground refuge in times of attack. Much of what was in this ‘vault” was ill gotten goods, or payments from wealthy lords as bribes or ransom. As a mover of goods Kragor learned much of the Pirate lords, and their fellow captains, enough to Blackmail if he wanted to.
The ownership of NeMoren’s Isle passed from generation to generation. Until Paytro NeMoren, he squandered the wealth of the NeMoren family and he had no children, no heirs.
To make money he was approached by an anonymous man from Osirion to be a distributor of a drug called “the silver sand” said to be worth ten times the value of Shiver. A deal was struck and regular shipments began to arrive. Paytro bought the shipments and then distributed the drug across the shackles turning a nice profit, much better than Shiver ever could.
All of the dealings were through a smuggler woman by the name of Lissette. She was the daughter of a man by the name of Tur Radhkke. Tur was the (as it turns out) the mysterious supplier of Silver Sand.
Paytro and Lissette started to get closer and soon, romantic. But there never was true love as far as Paytro was concerned; all he was after was the profit and the supply of silver sand.
It didn’t take long for the other Pirate lords to trace the silver sand to Paytro. And they demanded a piece of the action. When Paytro refused pirates started to attack his supply ships from Osirion.
Desperate for the attacks to stop Paytro pleaded with the Pirate Council to stop. But they declined. But, the Master of Gales (whose own island was in close proximity to NeMoren’s) saw a potential deal. He dispatched his most trusted captain to make the deal.
He brought his daughter Amelia with him. Nad it was then That Paytro actually found love.
Long story short Amelia and Paytro were to be married and seal the bond with the Master of Gales. But Lissette was not to be a jilted lover. She demanded that the wedding be called off. Paytro refused. And wed Amelia anyway.
Lisste then demanded the marriage be annulled and again Paytro refused.
Lisstte saw no other choice, she kidnapped Amelia and told Paytro to annul the wedding or she goes public to the Master of Gales that Peytro was already married to her and destroy the alliance.
Peytro became enraged and managed to trick Lisstte and her two brothers down into the vault where he then sealed them in. locking the vault and giving the keys to his trusted servants.
Paytro never was able to find Amelia, and the marriage was never annulled. The business partnership with the Master of gales remained strained until this day. But respecting the marriage they did work together.
Soon though, the shipments of silver sand stopped, and Paytro soon had nothing. He died shortly after.
Three more years passed until you were called as heirs to the estate.
The total time that Lisstte and her brothers were imprisoned in the vault was about 7 years.
Also If Amelia can be found and if she is still alive, she becomes the rightful owner of the estate and passing all debt back to her and her family which means The Master of Gales owes himself.
So now, unanswered questions:
1. Where is Amelia. And is she alive
2. What about Tur Radhkke, will he come seeking his daughter?
3. Where was the money from the silver sand going?
