Follow the adventures of the Millennium Falcons as they cross the Thunder sea of Eberron in the employment of Lady Vanderborn.
GM
Toxim thinks its asking, something about being here, or who are here, why here? Or something of the like. He is unsure however if he can make it understand his broken command of the tongue, but he can try.
Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9
I don't believe I used it.
Daurros also does his best to understand the spoken words. Wish I had the tongues spell. Mental note.

I speak Common, Draconic, Riedran, Abyssal, Infernal, Giant, Sylvan, Goblin, Elven, Quor, Terran
GM
Daurrose is coming to much of the same conclusion. He thinks it is asking where..here..you? or here you be? Maybe be you here? And he is sure it is some kind of demonic tongue as well, it has tones of both abyssal and Infernal as well as reflections of elvish. He would guess it is a very old tongue, one that may well be as dead as the corpse upon the platform.
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Toxim will use the Comp Lang Wand. The real problem, though, is how to make it understand us?
GM
As Toxim casts his spell by triggering the wand the voice once more speaks in the native tongue "I know that smell, one is of the blood. why has the child of the blood come?"
You can see a shadowy shape, moving from the edge of the room, a wisp of darkness which you are unsure has a solid form.
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Toxim relays the message to the others. He then goes to the wall and tries to use the murals that are painted on them to say that his people are being attacked that they are here in hopes of finding weapons to defend themselves with.

The dark form gets closer to the corpse, shadows seem to surround it like a cloak and deep red lights seem to glows from deep within as it once more speaks
" why has the blood come? Do you serve them? " It seems to pause and stare at you, the room gowning colder as its darkness seems to grow deeper. "No, you do not serve them, why have you come? Are you here to loot the dead?" it ends in a somewhat harsh tone
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Toxim translates as well as he can as the dark form speaks.
One is of the blood? What blood? "Finn, back away slowly and don't make any sudden moves." Toxim says authorotativley. "I think he takes umbrage at your ancestry." Toxim then tries to respond to the form.
Linguistics 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 not serve blood. here find help?

Finn puts his spear away and backs away carefully.
GM
The shadows move and float around the corpse and the light seems to struggle to lift the every heavier darkness." Hask, poszeek tos luak zolva?" It hisses as it moves around the body and toward Finn
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
"Oh oh!" Toxim seems like he is about to speak then thinks better of it and waits for Finn's response and, more importantly, the response of the mysterious entity.
Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4
Finn starts as he hears a language he recognizes.
GM
The Eyes seems to spark and it whispers "For who does the Child of the blood fight?" The room has grown colder and darker and it moves ever so closer to Finn.
Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4
In Abyssal still, presumably: "I fight for my friends, not for any demons."
He turns to the rest of the party. "Do any of you speak the language of demons? If so, tell him I'm one of the good guys!!"
Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9
Daurros steps forward, and responds in Abyssal as well. "Our friend fights with us, against the foes of all good folk. He has stood by us steadfastly, and was key in our defeat of the ape demon who held sway over part of this island."
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
"I care not for his blood for his deeds brand him as a good man and a defender of justice."
Diplomacy 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
GM
"Ape demons....yes, I know of that one. You do not serve its master then. Gooooood" It pulls back from Finn, but still seems to be looking at Finn as it speaks " My Children were of the blood, but I could not save them from those that dwell within. What do you seek from this place?
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
"If this is the place that we seek, we were told that there would be weapons here to aid us in our struggle."
Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9
"A large fleet of pirates are on their way to destroy our people, who are living peacefully here on the island. These weapons, if they exist, would help our people defend themselves from being slaughtered by these fiends."
GM
"Yessssss, the weapons are here. My children forged them to defend themselves, to aid them. It was far to late for that. Why should you have them?" It seems to drift over the corpse once more, "eyes" blaring at Finn "What would you do with them, Child of the blood?'
Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4
"I would fight the pirates, of course. And any other evil creatures that got in my way. But I already have a mighty spear, so the weapons will probably be used by someone else."
GM
"Then take them child of the Blood, may hap they will be of more use to you then My children"
The thing seems to drawl back into the walls, the chill and darkness seem to left from the room and you are left standing in the room as it was before whatever that happened to be spoke.
Female Shifter Rogue 9
"So what was that all about?"
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Toxim casts Detect Magic and goes up to the offering table. "Let's see what there is to see."
Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9
"I think perhaps we should let Karkalla check around here. I do not wish to take any more swims today, if possible."
Female Shifter Rogue 9
"On it"
Perception (traps)
1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31
GM
Karkalla sees nothing that looks to be a trap, maybe the builders felt that the "Guardian" or whatever that thing is or was was enough to keep out the unwanted. She does see a place around the base of the platform that might be a panel.
Female Shifter Rogue 9
She looks the panel over "Ah dont think this is a trap....switch maybe?"
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Toxim makes sure the rest are a distance away then tries to open the panel or presses the panel... really whatever it takes.
Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4
Finn just stays still and tries to look harmless.
GM
The panel pulls away with a creak and much dust. Inside You see a recess where much of the platform is hollow and bunched together are bundles of cloth. Inside the dusty cloth lays well oiled weapons of extremely fine craftsmanship. It takes some time to dig all of the bundles out, but when unrolled you have uncovered 40 spiked gauntlets shaped to look like tiger claws, 20 Longbows, around 600 arrows, 20 short spears, 40 javelins, 10 long spears and two sabers with onyx handles.
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Might as well Detect Magic on them.
GM
One of the gauntlets and both sabers seem to be magical, the rest while finely made and very detailed are non-magical.
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Might as well make the rolls.

"You know, it occurs to me - how do we intend on bringing these out? I may be able to carry some in my haversack ..."
Can't recall - anyone have a bag of holding?
Female Shifter Rogue 9
"..........none of ya have a spell or something ta help with that?"
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
"I also have a haversack, though no bag of holding. I suppose we could bundle them up and carry them back. If we store what we can in our haversacks and divide the rest between us, I think we should be able to get them all."
Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9
"I do have floating disk which we can use, and if I were to extend it, it would last 18 hours. I believe it would hold all the weapons. The issue of course, is that they would be completely exposed to the elements or anything that would try to capture them. But, yes, that may be our best option, Karkalla."
Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4
"If we could make a kind of platform I could drag along the ground," (i.e., a travois) "I could probably drag quite a lot of stuff. I'm strong and I move fast."
GM
By looking over the items and slowly though magic you are able to determine what they are.
* The barbed and rather jagged claw like gauntlet is of wounding magic +1 wounding
* The first saber with a longed toothed catlike head on the prommal is made to harm evil outsiders +2 evil outsider bane
* The last saber is similar in look, but the cat head lacks the long teeth and has opal for eyes. This is a holy weapon +1 holy
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Sabers not scimitars. Drat and bebother! Though both are still very tempting."
Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4
What are the stats for a saber?
GM
I just called them sabers, use scimitar stats
Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9
"It would seem you have found yourself some excellant weapons for the battle, Toxim. So, do we leave immediately or in the morning? I can cast floating disc using my ring, but if we wait until the morn I can memorize it."
Female Shifter Rogue 9
"We aint got a lot of time do we?"
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
Scimitars! Boo yah!
"How about Teleport?"
Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9
"Yes, that's an option as well."
GM
I am just watching as you guys talk this out
Ranger 2/ Magus 7
I take it that it is not the option you would choose. So, let us try the floating disk. Each of us can take some additional load as well.
