DM about how much does this crystal weigh does it seem?

The one with telepathy and psychometabolism is about a pound. It could fit in a sack or backpack. Hauling the interlinked crystals around would be a multi-person job.

Using Detect Evil.

Marcus senses evil somewhere beyond the wall...which ought not be possible as stone blocks such things.

Ari is sure that the GM didn't look closely at Ranek's rolls and gave him more than he deserved. :)

Ari knows that there are spells that cloak openings with the semblance of walls, which are often used to conceal traps as well as passages and sometimes as decoys to lure invaders into wasting resources or otherwise avoidable traps.

The company, mantled in Art and the Way, pressed on up the steep ramp and to the false wall. Sticking their heads through it in a double rank, they just barely stopped themselves from stepping out into empty air twenty feet above a long, wide hall lit by many strange green globes which floated in the air near the ceiling and along the walls.

The chamber was a crude marvel, its floor made out of green metal covered with a few layers of dust and grime. A thin stream of water flowed through it, and off into the distance, to one side. In one corner stood a crude paddock of stacked boulders and metal plates torn from the floor. More than a dozen mountain rams milled about inside. Dirty skins adorned another part of the floor. One corner bore a reeking privy that was more a depression in the ground than a proper hole. A pair of hulking trolls sat together, eating something with pale fleshh and speaking loudly amongst themselves. Four ogres stood a distance away, speaking more quietly amongst themselves and staying well clear of the trolls.

In one distant corner stood a large cage, within which were two human children: one laying down and the other pacing about. In the far distance, the hall opened into another space still.

And you have surprise!

Stunning Fist: DC15 Fort:

Stunning Fist forces a foe damaged by your unarmed attack to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier), in addition to dealing damage normally. A defender who fails this saving throw is stunned for 1 round (until just before your next turn). A stunned character drops everything held, can’t take actions, loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, and takes a –2 penalty to AC. You may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (but see Special), and no more than once per round. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits cannot be stunned.

Bolkvar charged forward against the nearest foe, heedless of the risk. Feeling inspired by Aldon’s Powers, he knew that now was the time to strike. He didn’t believe that he could down a troll or ogre with naught but a pair of punches...but hopefully with the right pressure points being hit, he could disable the foe so that his comrades could finish the job.

Round 1, Part 1
Hakon raises his sword and roars with the deafening call of the True. He charges an ogre on the Thurvek's side, and brings his blade down on the ogre's arm with a savage cut!

Barra attempts to live up to his name as he draws his swords and drops lithely down to the cavern floor. "Get the children!" He cries, as he runs towards the trolls.

Aldon's construct attacks one of the trolls, seeking to give Barra a flank against said creature. Through it closes the distance, it can't land a solid blow on rubbery green flesh. Aldon once more slams the same Troll with a nimbus of light. His speech turns form the virtues of coordinated attacks now that the battle is in full flower. Even as Aldon's sharp thoughts strike the Troll, which flinches and roars at the unseen attack, he can tell it has begun to heal away what harm he's done. Instead of seeking its true source, the dull-witted giant seizes Aldon's construct and rips it in twain. The other lurched past and closed with Barra.

The blinded ogres flailed with their huge clubs, while Hakon's sighted for took a wild swing at the knight. The other did no better against Bolkvar.

Ranek studied the battlefield, then decided that Hakon, Marcus, Bolkvar, and Thurvek could handle the Ogres. Since Barra appeared to be all on his own, he gave him a little help, creating a puddle of grease under the troll, hoping to cause it to slip.

Standard action: Casting grease. The area is the yellow box. DC 15 Reflex save or the troll falls prone.

He then attempted to climb down the ledge to the main floor.

Bolkvar stepped forward towards the uninjured ogre. He fully expected his companions to put down the wounded beast. As is, the last thing he wanted was for any of the creatures to get around them to their flanks. Therein lay defeat, and he would not allow that to happen.

He glared at the monster, showing no fear despite being so greatly outsized. Pulling back a fist, he punched the creature straight in the sternum, following it up with a kick to the knee, and finally an uppercut to the chin. With his magical blessing, and Barra's arcane encouragement, his blows hit with even more accuracy and force than they normally would. Every strike was like a hammer hitting, as he willed his fists to harden far past what would normally be possible.
