Why, you have much to learn. Torag, the great smith. It was him that called us on the quest for the sky, the earthquakes he sent spurring us into motion. We dug ever higher, and higher. Yet, what have we done to earn his displeasure? He sends the short orcs to test us? Are we near the surface? Does that displease him in some way?

These orcs, they wields vile magic wands! Not small wooden ones, but glowing rods of metal, and they conjure bright flashes of fire. What's worse, they works their vile, vile magic to poison the air itself. Is it the sky-air? Can we not breathe it? Is our quest for naught?

The dwarf seems close to despair, while the monitor moves in with next bits of comments.

The corridor system is extensive, and after a good ninety minutes of commercial-interrupted travel, the air in the corridor turns an opaque blueish-green.

The fog extends into the corridor, and the subterranean terrain turns rocky, an unexpected break from the smoother corridor so far. The ground is broken, with stalagmites scattered about. The mist obscures vision, leaving no further than 60 feet to see.

I need to set up an encounter, but I'm struggling with the tablet I'm on (travelling, right now waiting at DMK (!) airport). If there's anyone who has run this, could you perhaps add the combat map and some tokens to the slides deck? Otherwise I can try later today.

The broken ground leads up to a trench, which is spanned by a single bridge. On the other side, barely visible in the blue toxic mist, a few goblins can be made out, wearing spacesuits. One of them even has a powered suit, and seems to be the leader.

DC 12 Engineering:

Goblin spacesuits, which means the environmental protections are unstable. A careful shot, or a well-placed saboteur can disable the life support in the suits, exposing the goblins to the gas.

Ranged attack at -2 for no damage will disable the space suit of a goblin. The powered suit can only be disabled once half hit points are gone.

The goblins cry out as they see the adventurers: Hah! You be food! You no match for Big Genius Polbak! Big Genius have best zappers and hackers! Big Genius will shot you with big fire stick and crush you helmet. You breathe air what makes you real sick!

The crew fire at the incoming large goblin, and deal with it with deadly precision. Markar, id-sinitis, OP-1, Blasto all hit, and Alton adds a couple of stray shots for comical effect. The burly goblin goes down, though, ending the threat.

Combat over!

With the goblins down, the cavern is free to explore. Wazashi gives production directions, and soon the party discovers a large door. With the goblins' explosives and mechanical gear strewn about, it shouldn't be too hard to open it.

Id reaches out telepathically to his allies, his mandibles sore from all the physical speaking he’s had to endure on camera. I bet the audience would love it if we rigged the goblin explosives to blow up the door.

JIm pries the door open, and Wazashi interevenes before the Vesk can step in Wait, wait, let me set up the crew inside for an entry shot. The vapor and lighting will make the perfect cliffhanger shot!

The door exits onto an elevated walkway that runs along the length of a horizontal cylindrical space that’s several hundred feet in diameter and that extends as far as the eye can see to the right and left. At several points along its visible length lie heavy doors like the one Jim just opened. Most notably, though, there is a digital terminal near their door, its display glowing with strange alien text that quickly cycles through various forms before stopping on Common;

Just after the camera crew takes the last set of pictures, Wazasha asks aloud, “How about we hear how they’re wrapping up the event in the studio?” She pulls up a program on her wrist computer, which plays the live audio feed with Zo! shouting excitedly.
