Let's roleplay it. I need a little practice playing both characters interacting. Perhaps they could get a message to meet at the public baths at the Pleasure Salon of Calistria, and get their assignment in the nude!
Flori was once a seamstress there, so she knows some of the people there. She even tried her hand at being a courtesan, but found that she preferred adventuring.
Or, a dive bar in the Docks would also do the job. I should give adequate descriptions of them both, and Flori's cat, Shadow.
I'm going to put some real effort into this, but it could be a little clunky at first, getting established and getting a feel for things.
First job will be fairly straight forward, just to iron the kinks and clunkiness out (I know exactly what you mean).

BTW, I'm having fun already. I hope to flesh out the characters as we go on, and get into a rhythm that will entertain us both. It should be fun for you and me and whoever else reads the thread.
I GMed this thread. It was fun because the characters were such characters. I hope to improve in time.
Anything more I can do to make this more fun? Do you want more comedy? More interaction from NPCs? More description?

Killing a cop, first thing. I dunno... Off to a precipitous start, here.
Hopefully, they're evil jerks and everyone hates them. It might be seen as justice.
Lefty's not too wise, and Flori likes a straight up fight. So do I. Intrigue is fun, but back in the day, you got xp for killin' things!
I don't use XP, I find plot related leveling better. But to be fair they did just bust in the place. Although, they would have used non-lethal damage on you, if you hadn't escalated.
But wow, that spell packs a punch, even at your level!
The first fight or two with a new player is always tough, until you manage to figure out how tough they are. So forgive the learning curve. I do actually make good combats, once I get a feel for the player.

It's all good. It's easy to get crossed up in a PbP. Patience and cooperation make the game fun (and I'm having fun!).

I should have used a little description to liven up the melee, but it was a lot of stuff for one post. Just wanted to make it easy to keep track.

I never expected this game to go where it's gone. I thought they'd be burglarizing for a good cause.
Well, who's to say they won't, someday? They'll be too well-known to easily be low profile.
I blame Flori. She gets Lefty to do things hastily.
I think it's their chaotic nature. In another life, they'd be junkies driving across the country, robbing pharmacies.
Not THAT well known. You've only been seen in passing by Puddles folks. Not exactly movers and shakers. Besides Absalom is a big place and you chose street fight.

I love it. I didn't know Flori would be such a leader. I don't usually play leaders.
Lefty's still really low power for his class. I took 4 levels of wiz because I think prestige classes should require 5 levels. Call me old school.
Give him a few more levels, and he'll be much better at making a difference.

I loved it all. 10! I can see these 2 getting into all kinds of adventures. I like that I didn't know what to expect, or knew how my own characters would act. I think it's gone very well. I'd play these 2 anywhere.

I'm good. We can start again tomorrow. They'll be buying wands of CLW (some things are just required) and take a few days to relax and enjoy the city. I know they didn't level, but it feels like it.
Do you want to level? I planned on having you level after each adventure but I wasn't sure if this one was intense enough?

It's been a heady 3 weeks of play. 6th level would be a pretty big jump in power. Lefty would get 3rd level spells, and Flori would get 2 attacks/round. I like the idea, but you pace it how you think it would work best. You know what's next. I'd like to play them to 20th, if possible. I'm really having fun with this.
Glad you are having fun with it. I do like how tense it got. Some high stakes. I DID have a plotline were you refused to back down and got thrown in jail...

Don't be. If they weren't using that spell they'd be in over their heads. I like pulling a fast one on the baddies now and then.
