Do we just need a bunch of rolls to gather apples? Is this a fast track sort of thing? I think everyone is harnessed in and we have a sack and pulley system to raise and lower apples safely. Nothing should really go wrong unless the last monkey attacks?

Bartleby: please keep OOC discussion in OOC.
You need skills/spells to identify stuff on site, once the adventure is over I'll tell you what everything is.
Edit: Once you decide who gets what, the people who get the various items can decide what to do with them.
Edit Edit: What I would do is: for each item every player bids an amount of money (subtracted from their cut of the job's pay). The player who bids the highest pays that amount for the item, and the payment is distributed among the other players.
HEY YOU |
Loot-wise, I have no interest in the Nunchaku or Shield, so they're both up for grabs as far as I'm concerned. :-)
Bartleby Nutmeg |
Same here, I assume we can just sell them and split the proceeds if no one wants them. In terms of bidding, the cost to the bidder should be at least what selling to the vendor would be.

If you want to sully your beautiful loot with base capitalism, that is your prerogative, but the entire point of our special magic treasure rules are to try and discourage the whole "vendor trash" mindset where you take all the treasures you find on your adventures to the pawn shop.
And you can't sell magic anyway, unless you find a PC who wants to buy it.
"But these aren't magic!"
"Really? I don't remember anyone casting detect magic at any point."
HEY YOU |
Regardless of it's magical capabilities (or lack thereof), it's encounter loot. I don't think we should sell anything. After all, the original intent of Pathfinder Encounters was to go somewhat old-school where (aside from mundane gear) you only have what you find, craft yourself, or trade/purchase from other PCs.
Bartleby Nutmeg |
I would cast detect magic but I don't have that selected today. If everyone is willing to wait a day, I can cast it on the loot.
I'm fine if we keep the loot to trade with other people too.
Do we want to search for a nest and risk disturbing the final chimp? There may be more treasure.
CaptainMarvelous |
Okay, looks like that's a wrap.
The shield is just a regular Living Steel Shield.
The nunchaku are +1.
The club is just a club, if anything it's an inferior specimen.
The reward money divided five ways comes out to 600 GP each.
We can figure out how you want to distribute the loot in this thread here.
Edit: Don't forget to sign up again on The Master Thread
Also check out the Gameplay section of that thread, as there are some magic items for sale there and you're now all flush with cash. Magic items are first-come, first-served.
HEY YOU |
One option if nobody wants items from the encounter is to move them to the shop section of the Master Thread. Thoughts?

There's an idea; then you could split the proceeds. We've got two monks running around so once one of them has finished an adventure and has some money I'm sure you should be able to unload those +1 nunchaku.
Bartleby Nutmeg |
HEY YOU, I like that idea as well. Then it keeps the items in the world so to speak. It has my vote.
Bartleby is levelled up, just going to craft some items and a few scrolls and I will sign up for the waiting list.

I already added you when I saw you had leveled; you actually got tapped for a game already.
You can still do the crafting though.
HEY YOU |
Speaking of crafting, I've opened a shop in the master thread. I can make anything requiring Craft(alchemy) DC 20 or lower. By selling for half-price, I can make a small profit, and it'll save everyone money. :-)
Max Gain |
Okay, so did we get all 12 apples, are we level 2? I need to know these things?
HEY YOU |
We got all the apples, so here's the current breakdown:
600gp per person
+1 nunchaku
Living Steel Shield
To get an item, subtract the value from your individual funds; that'll be distributed amongst the other characters. Otherwise, they'll end up for sale in the Master Thread (gameplay tab).
Also, you're Level 2. Once you're set, post in the Master Thread (recruitment tab) so we know you're ready for a new game.
CaptainMarvelous |
Also check out the Gameplay section of the aforementioned Master Thread for stuff for sale. There's tons already, both from PCs and an NPC who it's clear is going to be used less than I thought given the player economy.
Max Gain |
I'm in no hurry to get the next game, but I will be reapplying eventually.
And I don't want the other items as I can't use them effectively.
