Nicolae enters right behind Brewslee.

Did anyone want to attempt to read the cloth (before the large coward fled he offered to assist in decyphering.)

Opening the door, peeking in and wandering around this room the brave adventures first notice that this gigantic chamber is relatively free of mist (yay for dry clothes) and darkness is held at bay by braziers (fire) of radiant light.
Behemoths occupy these halls, great taxidermy nightmares such as a two-headed bear easily taller than an ogre; a great desiccated beetle its carapace larger than the face of the grand clock tower of Absalom; a massive specimen of chimera, its jaws open in a mock roar; and an assembled skeleton of a tyrant lizard.
The walls here are studded with strange masks, staves, spears, and other implements of long forgotten cultures, most likely used in ritual hunts of the beasts preserved here.

Sure, if we can interact with him a little more I wanted to ask where are the storage rooms that Nigel was in.

Nicolae advances into the room carefully.
Perc: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Prior to his exodus the blubbering scribe states that Nigel was last heard of recording the masks on exhibit at the end of the main hall.

As Nicolae enters the room and surveys he notices a pair of helm-like masks mounted on the wall and each begin cracking.

Something is coming out of both masks!

"Amen."

Apologizes for limited posting. This is a travel heavy weekend. I'll update ya'll soon.

On the cloth you found prior to the gibbering scribe had writing of some sort upon it. The scribe, entranced with Valtyra helps her decypher it:

Valtyra:
The scribbles reveal not only a warning against the idols’ corrupting powers, but also a powerful chant that dispels their influence over men. A bard with the countersong ability may speak the chant aloud (using countersong while doing so) to break the hold of the Tik Taan over any listeners. When employed in this manner, the cloth is a reusable item, allowing a bard to use it as many times a day as he can countersong.
A spellcaster who Deciphers the writing may also read it as a scroll of break enchantment (this too ends the Tik Taan’s influence on any one subject), but doing so causes the writing to vanish as a common scroll, which can never be used again.

Now that you are in the room with the moving helm like masks everyone has a surprise round. All but Nicolae who drew weapons.

With a multitude of wounds caused by the adventurous foursome the insane idiot falls to the ground.

Looking at your surroundings its easy to see that your two most recent antagonists were eating a half orc. Some of the half-orcs body parts are lying haphazardly around the room. Apparently the insane idiot was feeding the half-orc to his buddy the snake.

Searching the room and the body parts you find a key ring. The ring of keys was still attached to the half-orc’s belt when his torso was fed to the snake. The keys were found hanging out of the snakes split gullet.
Yummy.

The room north of the bathroom is void of clues, insanity, undead or snakes. Pity.

Shall we proceed?

Approaching the final room and looking in you see mock vines clinging to the wall of this grand exhibit hall, and huts of grass are strewn about the open area. At the center of this sprawling chamber, a great stone ziggurat rises out of the mist, almost scraping the 50-foot-high ceiling. At the top of the ziggurat, a rail thin elven gentleman is strapped to an altar, his bare chest painted with strange sigils and monkey paw-shaped blots of paint.

Its obvious to see the Tik Taan hold court here as a band of savage primates (all escaped from the Absalom Menagerie) snarling, spitting, and cavorting madly about the ziggurat. Nearly 20 apes, baboons, and other monkeys revel here.

I've taken the liberty of moving you icons on the map.
