Nilus is unharmed by the swarm because he has DR5/Epic. So, I don't think I need to roll the saves vs distraction and poison

I also think Nilus would get an AoO since he threatens 10' with Radiance.

Casting Mythic Prayer: Allies get +2 on attacks, damage, saves, and skill checks, and heal 6 points of damage.
I'm not sure how high the derakni are--can Dejik move to where she can catch them in the area? If not, she makes sure to get her allies and maybe 1 one of them. If so, they take 6 points of damage along with the -2 penalty (SR applies). And would the swarms be considered enemies for this (e.g., would they take the damage and -2 penalty on damage and saves)?

I'd like to point out one more time...Nilus has DR 5/Epic so that means the swarms haven't damaged him at all unless they are Mythic Swarms. I've noticed that both Dejik and the GM show him with damage.

Sorry! I was summarizing from Spiderbeard's posts. And everyone got healed for 6 pts when Dejik cast Prayer, so I didn't track it too closely.

Sorry guys, busy day yesterday. Yes there's AoOs and I'll keep Nilus' DR in mind from now on. Dejik, you can catch the one that Sarkast attacked and slowed.

Nilus and Sarkast viciously strike the two derakni as they take off. Sarkast's blow in particular slows the gigantic locust as it takes off into the air. Dejik then moves forward, sending forth a burst of holy energy which motivates her party and hinders the enemy, however the derakni's resistance to magic prevents her spell from taking hold.

Dejik's Caster Level Check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Nilus then points his bow high, firing an arrow straight into the derakni, which is knocked back by the blow.

Fly (1 fails): 1d20 ⇒ 20

The only attack I posted was the AoO because I was waiting to confirm where the demons were. :)

Sarkast watches as the demon flies up out of reach and another joins it. He smiles as he notices the first one unable to get as much altitude. He runs over, putting that one on a direct line between himself and the higher one. As he runs, he pulls out a javelin covered in sparks. With another prayer, he throws it, and as he does a bolt of lightning pulses out through both of them.

Move action to get lined up and draw while moving, standard to attack. I had to move my token off the map to get the line.

Spitting and retching, Ayesha comes to the conclusion that the spells she has prepared are less than useful in this situation. Fortunately, she wasn't limited only to the spells she had prepared. Concentrating, she brought the image of a gigantic fireball into her mind. The demons might be resistant to fire, but she doubted the swarms would be. Concentrating, she called thought to reality, and the world was engulfed in flames.

An enormous fireball explodes, completely annihilating several of the wasp swarms. The derakni avoids the worst of it, however.

The two derakni split up, and dive-bomb Ayesha and Sarkast. Sarkast twists away at the last second, but Ayesha is stung before the derakni flies out of reach!

Ayesha tried to dodge the demonic insect, but stumbled. The injury from the demon's attack wasn't too bad, in and of itself, but it weakened her more than such a wound should have. As if her weakened state wasn't bad enough, she could hear a buzzing in her mind, as if an entire hive of demon bugs was chattering at her. It made it hard to concentrate, hard to think...

The buzzing in her ears grew louder and the swarms seemed to be everywhere. Ayesha clutched at her temples and screaming, pointing a hand at the nearest swarm and calling another fireball into existence. It wasn't until the flames blossomed that she saw the horrified face of Dejik looking in her direction.

Another fireball explodes, wiping out the swarms but badly scorching Dejik and Nilus as Ayesha's world swims around her. The derakni, and the second, summoned derakni skitter and spin in the air, full of malice.

Sarkast, Nilus, and Dejik are up! Need reflex saves from Nilus/Dejik. The fireball is too low to have hit the derakni if it was targeted on a swarm.

Don't forget that Dejik has been casting Mythic Endure Elements, so everyone has Fire Resist 5.

As Ayesha's fire destroys the mass of insects, Sarkast feels the surge of energy from Nilus's spell. Without thinking, he begins running across the field, directly at one of the intact walls. He then sprints straight up the wall before unleashing a flurry of attacks, then drops to the ground, landing on his feet with a look of pure rage on his face.

Maintain Bloodrage. With Haste, Sarkast's speed is now 100'. By my count, I am 70' from the wall next to Triangle; 30' up the wall with Wall Run puts me adjacent. So that's a mythic point for Fleet Charge to move and get a free attack at +3 that bypasses DR. Then a full attack action before falling 30 feet to the ground, which almost certainly provokes an AoO. Acrobatics check to avoid damage from the fall; I can't fail the DC 20 to take no damage at all from a 30' fall (Expert Leaper). I end up on my feet directly beneath Triangle.

Honestly, the adventure hasn't started until someone fireballs the party. And Sarkast, you're nuts. I love it.

His form a blur behind him as he moves, Sarkast races straight up a crumbling wall before leaping from it, sending his returning dagger flying straight for the derakni. It slams into its eye, which gives Sarkast the handle he needs as he grabs onto it, using it as a pivot as he twists before landing on its back. He then slams his other dagger into its back and leaps back off, pinwheeling through the air before landing on his feet. The derakni crashes behind him as his dagger reappears in his hand.

One derakni down! Nilus and Dejik still have actions!

Sarkast sees the other demon fly down and sting Dejik. He glances at the wall he just scaled, then back and the demon; with a shout, he once again soars straight up the wall, then launches himself through the air!

Maintain bloodrage. Once again with Wall Runner: 40' up the wall, 25' horizontal leap (can't fail check) with a slight fall for 65' of movement. That is more than half, so Acrobatics at -5 (rather than -10, from skill unlock) to avoid AoO. Then DC 20 Acrobatics to avoid damage from 30' fall (can't fail check).

Nilus fires off three arrows which miss entirely while Sarkast leaps through the air, slamming his dagger into the remaining derakni once more. Dejik shakes off the effects of the sting and the buzz of the wings, but her spell simply bounces off of the giant locust.

Zeroing in on Sarkast, the disoriented demon flies in, trying to sting him. However, Sarkast bends backwards, and the derakni flies overhead, however the wings do affect him.

Dejik begins administering care to Ayesha, desperately trying to save her as she convulses from the poison. Nilus fires a shot which beautifully slams into the derakni while Sarkast is overwhelmed with confusion.

Err, I rolled last round's fort...it was a 31.

Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14 Poo...Also, GM I should always be taking 5 less damage from nonmythic foes. So, Nilus should have 10 less damage from those two attacks unless the demon is a mythic foe.

Nilus is poisoned, not confused Dejik.

Nilus nearly loses his weapon as the derakni focuses on Sarkast, almost, but not quite stinging the rogue. It then shrieks as Sarkast plunges his dagger into it. He flings himself onto its back, stabbing again and again and again, and with a cry, it finally collapses before vanishing, returning back to the Abyss from whence it was called.

While dealing with the injuries, the group explores the remains of Eagle Rock. The mighty fortress is a complete ruin now, with little of note to explore. However, the nest where the original derakni contains a significant treasure of various collected valuables. Although there is nothing more of note here, a significant, dangerous predator in the area has been vanquished.

The group finds 5,831.34 in mixed coins. It is late enough in the day to reasonably rest if you so wish.

Dejik channels to heal, then uses her Extend rod to cast Status on everyone in the party. She'll know if anyone is still poisoned, confused, etc. Extended, Status lasts 18 hours.

That should get everyone up to full (Dejik heals 35) and renew the Overflowing Grace to boost Fort saves.

Dejik can cast Lesser Restoration up to 8 times, if necessary. She has +12 on Heal checks to treat poison, and she can try to cast Neutralize Poison up to 4 times.
